the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro is nowhere close to the top of the line air coolers but it is definatly better than stock. so go for it if it's free, just dont overclock alot if ur planning to.
you wont have to reinstall windows since it is the same model. all ur speeds will be defualted to stock so there wont be any stability problems there. all should go well.
only creative has eax 3 and higher. they wont let anyone else have the benefits of eax so eax2 is the highest they let anyone have. but then there was the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude yes it uses the X-Fi processor but it is a quailty card with eax5.
both are great heatsinks nonetheless. and only 2.7GHz lol i havnt overclocked anything yet. the temps would just be insane and i dont want to risk it just yet. i'll be getting my water cooling parts any day now and then i can finally see what my Q6600 can do
haha, slightly smaller the ninja is a beast, especially the latest revision of it. i have the original on my opty and temps are usually under 30C which is just insane for an OCed processor.
8600gt is exactly what you want if you want dx10. 150$-512MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130290 100$ after rebate-256MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130085
you dont need to reinstall vista if you decided to install xp afterwards. you just need to repair vista's boot files. besides that, vista is over 10GB so there is no way that will fit on a DVD.
well for boot times i've disabled most things such as the jmicron and 2nd etherner port. there are prolly other things but i havnt spent that much time in the bios yet. the boot time i was actually talking about was the actual windows bootscreen. my amd comp took 3 bars max and now its taking like 5..
ya that's not AS3 tho. functions used to be that easy and now i have no clue what's going on.. i gave up on flash and i actually got it to work with php and css, its ALOT nicer that way and ALOT easier for automatically doing things. all i need to do is add a TTF to a folder and im good
