ya one beep is fine, dont bother messing with ur bios if u dont know what ur doing just for a beep and grinding hdds are so annoying, i can here one which is in the other room

my comp boots up pretty fast until after i log in, after i log in explorer.exe doesnt even come up for at least 30 sec, i only have the programs i need starting up(norton AV, MS antispyware, and an ati controle panel). now what else should i do? maybe disable some services like how blackviper suggests? plz tell me what ur tricks are

ide rather build my own to, but since i have to pick one i selected other, that being alienware, i hate their prices but they are the only manufacturer that actually has good systems, other companies like dell only rly have their support which is useless b/c i can just come here for support

u are combining the drives, but its not combining the full size of the 2 drives u take the size of the smallest drive times 2 and thats what u get so if u had an 80gig and a 100gig then ur total would be 160gigs

no its not, its just a normal system beep! the hdd isnt even making the noise and he was jsut guessing that from the outside of the case @fireware-i have an 8gig hdd in a 7 year old dell that makes grinding noises too but it works fine, its just a crappy hdd

hard drives dont beep, its called a system beep and happens to alot of people right around the oem screen in on ur startup where it shows like dell or hp

i remember reading what SiMoNsAyS posted there its going to be a while till we get that stuff, the amd X2 4800 only runs at 2.4 ghz unless that is refering to intel which will still take some time 2 gigs of ram we all know is a must but i just hope that good 1gig sticks of ram will come out b/c the overclockers will be p***ed off

yes u can do it but it is recommended to at least have the same brand name although its even better to have to of the same drives but u can use 2 completely different drives, u might have problems but give it a try if u want and u currently have a 200gig hdd and are looking to get another? why dont u just get the same drive as u have now so that i know it will work right?

why dont u just use lan? ive played monopoly with a friend before but i dont remember how it was set up tho
