so u just said that he is able to and how will it be a bottleneck? all the ram modules will default to the speed of the slowest one, therefore there is no way that one module can be bottnecked by another

they dont have to be the same speed, if u have a 3200 and a 2700 speed, then the 3200 will default to 2700

well the tnt2 is a 32mb version then, just try both and see how they are, since there is no info on the ati then its tuff to say

both are compatible with the mobo, the tnt2 is 16mb plz be more specific on the ati card tho, post the numbers on the card it is either 16 or 32mb, but i would pick the ati card

so u recommend around 8-10 gigs for the OS partition? and is it safe to use partition magic with info on the hdd? ive got about 20gigs used so will it erase anything?

VLC media player, i havnt had any problem with it and have thrown many different formats at it

add 3-5? am i able to install games on a different partition or only unde program files? b/c alot of games are a few gigs like UT2004

i too recommend hp but it all depends on what u want to do with it only get a dell if u dont plan on taking it places b/c they are rly big hp's are medium sized toshibas are meant for mobility

well what do u mean, i do a variety of thing on my comp, gaming, photoshop, enconding/decoding, writing java programs unless u mean something else? this is my main and only drive b/c this the comp is a laptop

well i defragged it and its a little better but it still doesnt seem like the disk was defragged cus its still rly slow, ill just let u know in a few days when i reinstall xp

u will prolly need around a 3000/3200 to get the full potential out of the card but u can still use the card
