hi everybody i have a sata hard drive and i tried to install xp but i failed and i searched the web i didn't find any usfull information so can anyone help me my sata hard disk is maxtor 80 gb and the mother board is msi with chipst sis and i really need to know how to install the windows what i done was first time i didn't use F6 at the begining so the installation cd didn't recognize the hd second time i used F6 so the pc asked for the disk that came with the motherboard and i insert it and choosed the xp installation files and the hd was recognized by the cd but at the state of copying the files there was an error in reading the files and it couldnit be copied and the installation faild again thierd i inserted the files from the flobby that came with the motherboard on the insatallation cd and changed the txtsetup file but i think the changes i did was no right so the installation cd didn't work so please help me on this please

first of all thank you for replying second mr.Andromeda43 i made the fdisk thing and it works correctly but the problem was with the installation it self of the xp cd i used the 98 cd for making the partitions for the hd with fdisk then i reboot and i inserted the xp cd for installing the windows and the problem like i said was at the coping proces mobo came with a disk for the sata but it didn't work so the problem is how to make the hd copy the files from the disk

i'm using a xp bootable cd

i did that but when it came to coping files it refuse to copy the files from the flobby

hi all i maid a win xp cd with some drivers then i maid another cd with the programs then i maid a thierd one with other drivers and programs. all i want is: 1- using the cd switch i switch between these 3 cd's while installing the windows nearlly at the time (m13). 2- and if i didn't insert the second cd for a time it will continue the installation normally can anyone help me with that

hi all i wondered if i can put a bar that fill up while the programs that i'm installing silently is being insalled. all i want is to see somthing that prove that the program is being installed

i wondered if i can extract the driver.cab and add some drivers and recompress and put it in the xp cd in its normall position will this works insted of the oem

Hi everybody: please i neeeeeeeeeeeeed help i made a seviral unattended xp cd's with " xp with programs and drivers ", " xp with drivers only " and finaly " a cd for programs only " and i found that there are some more things can be done in the cd like changing the theme of installation screen and more..... all i wnat is who can i make these changes but in details and pictures if there was an appility for this:. 1- changing the theme of the installition screen of xp 2- put a list of programs to choose the programs i want to install before rebooting of the windows 3- playing music while installing windows 4- change the windows theme ( desktop,mouse, screensaver ) 5- how can i make a windows pe please help me with these things i really need them and thank you
