2. excapt that this post is dated earlyer... but yeah, with build 4 of the final this is fixed indead... or atleast the changelog says so...
3. and if all that is to hard for you, give me an exact desciption of what you want and nead and ill send you the cdrom (€99,99), or dvdrom (€149,99) or dvd-DL (€269,99) * prices are all excl licence fees, and excl post and packaging costs. these prices are for: Badwidth covarage: Downloading the iso, and all service packs update packs driverpacks ect... Personal fees: Time is money, and creating an iso is verry time consuming... A small donation to the projects i make use of Fair is fair if i make money they should too... edit this is the fist time i post this, and i encourage many others to do the same, if they at least give credit and part of thair income to these projects, lets face it - there are many people that are to ##W@# lazy to do it thairselves, so why not make money and donate half of the profit to these boards and its projects. Note you should always check with the projects or software's terms to see if its allowed to use it for others than yourself... Whoops Don't take this post TO ciriously, It's really just a very sarcastic joke...
4. fernando thats why i posted my - 'solution' - i dont have the xp-x64 version of windows at home to test it though, but i wonder if it works, dont see why not though......
5. so is there a way to maby - set a script online with all the resources, that are patched - and those that still arn't ... if it neads file-space fore the 'allbum' - Im willing to donate, enouth space for at least 100 resources... and a php script to 'display' them...
6. i wonder if extracting to temp folder -&&- manual replace setup.exe64 with setup.exe32 would do the trick as, its both the same installer (i geuss also the same inf structure)... how about trying... > extract (with 7zip or other util), winxp-x64-sp2-enu.exe to c:\x64sp2\ > rename c:\x64sp2\setup.exe to: c:\x64sp2\setup.exe.x64 > > extract from 32bit version of sp1 or sp2 setup.exe to c:\x64sp2\ do setup.exe /? or setup.exe /help to find the cmdline arg for manual slipstreaming....

WMP 6.4 download ?

strange as removing - wmp ect should also still live wmp-compatibilitie tweak enabled, btw, isn't there a simple way if you'd install the klite+ or mega codec pack .... (afaik wmv 7 is included there...
8. hi i tested dell's orriginal pack once about 7months ago, and it showed up with some nice resources, but onfortunatly i went away to winxp (for mce) and linux), but because my xp licence has expired (not a student anymore) - and i dont want to buy xp im thinkin about 2k again... recently there has been some developments in w2k-land, > no win2k service pack 5 (full ) - it just never got released. > new dll released to be hooked into win2k for new and better vistual-styles support. there are now many projects with icons for windows 2k, i hope there is someone who knows, how to get them into the installer, and the force-reload tool....
9. there is a dotnet 1.1 + 2 + 3 addon - how about a search....

Tools and addons

YES - if they come with an installer find that installers unatende switch .... of no installer just copy it to where-ever you like ... !!! but keep in mind that xp64 has TWO programfiles dirs and also 2 system'32' dirs if im not mistaking... for 64bit and 32bit apps each thair own... OK Did you ever hear about the use of shortcuts - if you want anny aplication to bhe avail in the <start menu> use sortcuts to the app in its programfiles dir... (note that 32bit apps should be in c:/program files32 / and 64bit in c:/program files/ NET is not cumulative you wil need all 3 versions of the dotnet env. if you need ... net 1 apps wil not run on the net2 framework.... for the last 2 also check this posts
11. dont use documents and settings - read about windows default stings like %windir% and %userprofiles% and all of those.....

Bug with svcpack.in_

there are lots and lots of buggs in 1.3 and i dont even understand how in gods name this could ever happen, .... Can anyone get up an nlite Beta - as both RC and Final seam to F*ckup... everry Dang time...
13. Obvious Question: 1> Did you select the "create ISO" option when asked of what do you want to do menu... 2> what version of nlite are you using... 3> have you tried - running nlite again (with only create iso -option enabled, 4> have you searched the msfn forums.....
14. rather a feature to ad theme_whatever.7z from the theme stuf instead of the addon stuf, Edit (after re-read): Why do you wish to remove notepad, as a verry basic text editor is quite usefull, - maybe if your looking to a better notepad (more advanced) > LOOK HERE < and scrol to the bottom of the page where it says: "Download Here <-- NOT uninstallable! "
15. Bumb with a screenshot and to tell you that it also has accoured with other files .... yet not with 1.2.1 hope it works
16. got this error - not sure if its going to bug me at install time (hope not), it did bug with all sorts of files missing - at install time - ... - reverted to RC2, and no probs at all, Last_Session.ini
17. how about changing %programfiles% - to \appz and make it the default for windows.... mine is
c: \ Profiles {documents and settings} ... \ TEMP { all temp folders: also those in windows, and %userprofile%\temp} ... \ Software { program files } ... \ WINXP { windows / winnt }
verry nice (and easy to do sniff the msn forums) .... but than again - this post is getting a verry big bit off-topic....
18. fermly disagree on all posts - even though its true that many big distro's are realy well equiped with features and stuf, - they're also verry bloated... just because of that id recoment a small linux distrib instead, preferably something that is minimalistc and has a good and helpfull comunity... it may be that youl have less choices or less avail packages - but you get more help for it in return...
19. xfce al the way, - for obvious reasons i guess, - its lighter and faster than both kde and gnome, also it suits to slackwares (i use a slack-based distro), minimalistic setup, but for sake of compatibilitie i do use the gt3 (gnome) lib for any ap that doesn't compile with a GTK+ gui, btw openbox isn't bad either (if you want somethin even lighter than xfce).
20. to get a good, windows 2000 or XP boot cd, install nlite (and if you dont have it already netframework 2 (or the alternative from nliteos.com 's website) with this app youi can: > easily slipstream a service pack > aply some tweaks > make it un-attended > and create a bootable iso that just works, > and do many other things as well, if you think youl need it...
21. if you only used nlite to slipstream the sp5 - your cd wil not be enlited (as in no components will be removed / unless you specificaly say it has to), have you tied going to the add remove windows components and looking for the messenger service there? (im not realy shure if it is posible to enable/disable it there - but i cant go look - im not running win2k atm). alco check services.msc

23. is there any chance that it will be possible again to change the system requirements again.... now it only support windows default or nothing at all but i would like to change requirements for for example 3gb diskspace (because pre-installed apps) and 256 mb ram (bcause windows will run to slow with less )... can you add that feature again?????
24. [question for moderators only: "plz move this thread to apropriate forum"] @ Given_up for me to understand anything about you actual questionn, id like to ask you a couple of questions first... 1: how, / where did you discover anny stuf from nlite on that computer... A: whas is in the list of program's on your start menu? B: is in your 'about my computer' dialog.... like this... [edit] Updated this post's picute to exclude the pid-code... even though, the screenshot was made on a vertual machine's (evanuation copy), i do appolegize for the intial mistake.. > Note to those who think of using this pid... I always test and evaluate software with known and compromised pid's, (this is because i dont want to have to activate my private key everytime i test software (also because windows activation has a limit)) There is NO way to ever get windows update, working with it, - you'l just have to buy windows as you should...
