New Win10 update with WebView2 news&interests may make taskbar lock up every time when it tries to update them. I don't know a way to disable it.

You would complain if they're missing with no replacement. You do need a better way so it would work on secondary taskbars. That may require something else but toolbars beloved. Unfortunately. Multi-monitor users are very tough crowd.

Toolbars were discouraged since 2009 and I would only discourage them further. A better way to pin folders to taskbar is needed. Options are not is generally useful. Sane defaults would be better. Cloned taskbar is what Windows 8 went with and going macOS way would present challenges. I see the usability benefits of ignoring full-screened monitor; however, I don't generally use multi-monitor as most users.

I would say they have no place on primary one. I'm considering macOS approach where you have just one dock and can move it easier to different screens.
