  1. well, it isn't for sale yet. So, nein, I mean, no, it doesn't exist yet :-)
  2. Also from my top secret sources, this is the Pychedelic themed interface for Winhdoze Nein..... Only the active window on "top" will be displayed in normal colors. Everything else is phasing in and out of the space time continuum, swirling around on a spaced-out trip. Groovy, man.
  3. This is top secret from my inside sources....

  5. Yeah, it's got to be a record. They must not be that bad off, if they can afford 19 years worth of trials and lawyers. Sheesh.
  6. I bet you've all been waiting in breathless anticipation... http://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-prevails-as-supreme-court-ends-antitrust-case/ Microsoft prevails as Supreme Court ends antitrust case
  7. @JorgeAAnything that hastens the demise of Firefox is a good thing in my opinion. The ensuing backlash over the new UI is excellent news as far as I'm concerned. Bunch of fascists at Mozilla anyway. They obviously don't believe in freedom of religion over there, or freedom of speech, or have any tolerance of opposing beliefs.... otherwise you get shjtcanned like Brendan Eich. What they need is more diversity over at Mozilla. You can't just put all left-wing atheists together under one roof, and consider yourselves the absolute moral center of the universe. Having a right-wing CEO would have met this diversity quota, and it would have been a good exercise in tolerance, which is something they allegedly pride themselves on.
  8. No, I would not pay for a Windows 8 or 9 subscription. Ever. How much more can consumers get bilked on literally everything they purchase? For one thing, you will be permanently locked into their support/upgrade lifecycle until the end of time. Need a new computer? No, you say? Oh well, too bad, the life cycle is ended... time to chuck another perfectly working computer into the landfill. Brilliant! @jaclaz Does that apply to radios as well?
  9. To makes things less complicated, why not simply: (1) install WMP9 - which includes support for newer codecs (this is latest version that works anyway) then.... (2) install WMP 6.4 Classic http://www.free-codecs.com/download/media_player_classic.htm After you download Classic (its a stand-alone executable that doesn't require installation), go to the options menu, then to the formats menu, and then change your file associations to open with Classic. That's what I've done, because I don't like the interface for WMP7 or WMP9 either. *Edit* As for backwards compatibility, I was able to read files made using WMP7 with both WMP9 and Media Player Classic 6. I'm not sure what the issue is and why you can't play older files.

  14. Larry, maybe a download manager of some kind can help you place your files where you want. Here are some examples: http://www.freewarefiles.com/Easy-Download-Manager_program_73186.html http://www.webxpace.com/software/freeware.shtml#Downldr http://www.freewarefiles.com/Web-Downloader_program_17781.html http://www.freewarefiles.com/Free-Download-Manager_program_15429.html
  15. thanks Larry, it's alright, I'll just leave the sig alone for awhile. Then go back to peewee or something. Maybe I'll combine peewee and darth. That sucks :-(I know how you feel. At least you've come to a good place to get answers and help :-)
  16. Congrats on getting the new computer :-) Well, I haven't really brainstormed what the sig should be. I will get back to you on that. It's not a big deal though.
  17. Howdy Larry Is there any way you can make me a new sig? Whatever it is, can you please add the "Joy Bottle" to it? I already made one but it sucks... I'll post it later in my sig thread. right now i gonna nap. Catch you later.
  18. People who steal from cemetaries ought to be placed on some special list..... so that when THEY die, people can go and graffiti all over THEIR headstones.
  19. Okay, I will.(1) I can't open any newer kind of Office Documents... whatever the proprietary format of the day is. I stopped keeping track a while ago. What is it? Doc, or DOCX, or something like that? I use RTF format documents. If I need something fancier I can use Open Office or Abiword. That's if I want to send documents to people. But that's literally like never. I like to write fanfiction sometimes, or else print fanfics that I got online. I don't need Office 2014(?) for that. I have a DOS program called "Ink" which is like 13 KB in size, which can also produce a piece of paper with ink and words on it. People can actually read these too. The font is nifty looking too. I won't retire my Windows ME machine. To me, it's lke a 1970 ford f-100. Everybody else is paying $1000 dollars to get a light bulb replaced in the dashboard of their 2012 Mercedes Benz. But for $1000 dollars I could replace/rebuild my radiator, get new belts and hoses, rebuild the carburateur, and put in new spark plugs, get the brakes replaced, and probably get a crapload of parts used from the junkyard. But they both get you from point A to point B (the car and truck I mean). *http://www.scovetta.com/archives/simtelnet/msdos/editor/page-2 ink10.zip
  20. I feel more limited using newer computers. I'm not running a home business here... so... I like to see what's on my computer, I don't need to be locked out of it. Everything is obfuscated on modern systems. Word 6.0 on Windows 3.1 was sufficient, but yet, here we are, 20 years later, still paying for the X version of Office/Word, which produces ink on a piece of paper like it did 20 years ago.
  21. I know, that's why I also put the link for the Windows 98 drivers :-) I thought he wanted drivers for a Windows 98 USB flash drive? If there's no Rite Aid store nearby, you can order here (if they're still in stock): http://www.matelectronics.com/computer/computer-accessories/tu1417-usb-2gb-flash-drive/
  22. Brand: Tech Universe Size: 2 Gigabytes Model: TU1417 Version: USB 2.0 Drivers: http://techuniverseproducts.com/customer_care/drivers Store: Rite Aid (the box says compatible with Windows ME, which is the reason I buy them. I have about ten of them. They work great with Windows ME. Their website has drivers for Win98. I'm going to assume that the drivers work. Why else would they offer drivers for Windows 98 if they didn't work?) Does this at least partially answer the original poster's question? Or am I completely, totally LOST?
  23. Yes you can go on the internet with it :-)
