Hey guys I am having the same issue as well on a Matrox G400 Dualhead Max. There is no control panel. I used M2, No KtD, and RunonceEx. BTW I was using base 5.11.6 and gfxB 5.11 I am unfortunately unable to test any changes for a while as it's on my g/f's machine, which I re-installed yesterday and she needs to use it for Uni work. But I thought that I'd post as I just came across this while browsing. This issue doesn't affect me(or my g/f, she'll never notice the control panel is gone anyway), but if you need any further help pls ask.

Are you going to be installing an OS on this new drive or is it just for storing data? If it is just storing data you can copy it over once the drive has formatted. If you are installing an OS, unplug the old HD, that way you won't accidentley install the OS on the old HD

It will work ok with out cmdow.exe just you'll get a cmd window appear and dissapear after the install. I'm guessing that you found cmdow.exe, from you comment about google. Thanx RyanVM

It's fun! I'm not after a speedy machine/system, but I view this as more of a learning experience. Shaving off the past few Mb's is pointless unless I feel that I might learn something from it. My 2p worth

I got a similar issue when I removed the Intel something or other codecs using nLite. Added them back and it worked fine. Other than changing the install order I have no idea howto fix it, but as it has not caused me a probelm sofar, I'll not loose sleep over it

Yep I got this and to fix it.... Install K-lite codec before you install Nero. Fixed it for me. I was using Nero 6, but I think that it wont make a difference, jsut change your install order. Rik

I have removed all optional drivers in nLite (i.e., not the ones in red) and I don't get this issue at all.

I've noticed the same thing, too. Some vendors have both 478 AND 479 pin Pentium M's. It's really confusing... I'm glad its not just me. A search on Kellco produces loads of vendors so of which state the 730 has 478 pins and other that have it with 479 pins. Argh!!!! Now that is my confusion...

Silly Question, but did you run the Base first? If not: Run the Base. This will then extract itself to the current folder with a folder for the driverpacks, a folder which houses all the files that the BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer_V5113.cmd needs. The BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer_V5113.cmd will also be created where the base extracted. Run BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer_V5113.cmd and UWXPCD_ROOT will be created. Follow the instrction on the screen and bingo, it should work

Don't know I'm tempted to scrape about and dig out my old parts and put together a system just to see what happens when you rip out an IDE cable when it's on. See if I can't fuse the house like I did with the last system I built.

Heck! I must be one of only a few ppl who actually use iTunes as a player. I suppose with the sytem I'm running I don't notice the bloat that is iTunes when it is running. My g/f has a noticeable drop in performance when she starts up iTunes, poor lass. Although on a PII-400 whenever she runs anything there is a noticeable drop in perfomance. What other programs are there out there to update IPod, I've only really bothered with prgrams that allow you to copy from the IPod
