Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") WshShell.Run ("setup.msi /qn REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS") WScript.Sleep 12000 WshShell.SendKeys "{TAB}" WScript.Sleep 1000 WshShell.SendKeys "{ENTER}" WScript.Sleep 9000 WshShell.SendKeys "{ENTER}" WScript.Quit would that work if i ran it from the same directory? if not how can i get it to define %cdrom%?
there are programs that do it, but to do it for free just have winrar extract it to a temp directory and run it. (a batch file) thats all the programs do anyways.
sorry, dont get me wrong. i got no clue how hard it would be to make one. i was just ssaying if it was possible that would rock. if not still a killer program. I really wish i knew how to program (although i tired to learn and hate programming). the best thing about it is how professional it looks. if anyone can post a link to somewhere that has all the prefs.js parameters with descriptions i would bow down before ye. EDIT: Hell this deserves its own in the Member Contributed Projects
i was wondering about some of the prefs.js options that i couldnt find in http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html#prefs first of all i was wondering what was the pref to make it ask where to download the file every time?
this is just a packager that will repackage the original installer then run it. it seems incredibly similar to simon's but more easily configured and with a GUI.
i cant get it to work, i got it to create the ISS file fine with setup.exe -R but i cant get it to silently instll from a CD or the HDD using -s, -S, /s, /S all with the -f2\"log" triggers. None of em work.
we'd need the advanced page or you can use the setup type finding program. but most AIO programs for those just silently call a bunch of other installs anyways, look through the cd's files to look for that s***
just read a bit. i'd argue that none of them are difficult if you take the time to learn. just read a little bit about it. and read the guide. that is your best bet. if you want to install applicatins with your cd rea the intermediat users if not just read the beginners. as for these things nLite XPCreate XPlode Windows Installation Helper Utility WPI XPize they are all completely different, except perhaps WPI and XPlode. they are all used for different things. before asking questions about them at least read and learn what they do if not how to use them.
