Anyone know of any issues with installing Longhorn on a virtualmachine. Either microsoft or VMware.

I was wondering how i may be able to make something that would run from runonceex and could check if a particular exists based on which programs were installed. I want something that i could toss into any runonceex and use with WPI. I would like it to create a log that would ensure that all the programs i wanted were installed. Sorry if this post was unclear

i _think_ robocopy will automatically make any folders it has to.

would "MSFN Wildcard" work with mode 2? note that i used Wildcard not Wildcards. And if that doesnt work would "MSFN Wildcards" work?

I was considering using systernal's process explorer as my default task manager, probably by replacing the taskmgr.exe file. I'm not sure of any downsides, although it could be risky, any imput would be great. Thanks

Topic is pretty self explanitory How do i include wildcards in window names? Couldnt find anything in the help file or web site. EDIT: Crap sorry, i forgot to even mention Autoit, i guess its not so self explanitory

the FXs wer fine, however like every one of the low end models like the 5200 are just rebaged old cards, i think the 5200 was just a TI 4200 MX. However we should also not pass judgement on any cards until we hear what he wants to do with them, however with the power taht these cards provide i'd imagine taht onboard graphics would be a better solution in terms of cost vs performance.

i dont know how to, but i'd imagine the best way would be to query the Add and Remove documents list.

its not the refresh rate that i have an issue with, also that program prolly doesnt really do anything as refresh rates are physical limitations of the monitor. I'm still very interested in some help on this subject. Thanks -SBird

btw, the tweakui change just is an automatic way of doing that other link. and custom locations are stored as REG_EXPAND_SZ

that registry directory didnt work for my "My Places" bar. I gotta run to a meeting when i get back i'll try and google the "My Places" tweak.

Where can I find the reg key to manually set the resolution and refresh rate? I'm suprised that I havn't been able to find it myself yet. Thx
