nope, install 5.10, thats all you need to do if that causes problems you are either overclocked need a bios update or have a hardware failure somewhere

it deletes useless directories that are not needed for this project. right click the file and then edit, for more specifics I want people to now take the time to list software there use, so I can test and patch it to work in this windows. lol, because it might be small , but atleast its not ugly, and it doesn't eat much ram, at all, and check one of those folders, for the "other" theme I still might make a second version, smaller, themeless, without shell services, so basically, it will be looking like win98 edit ps. when using, nforces new drivers, I normally install 5.10 WHQL drivers from nvidias website then update to the newest ones. This makes sure all drivers are installed. does this mean I am obi-wan now? yes you can use any windows you like on the second partiton, but microwinX will require the C:\ I recommened you use a version of windows on the second partition that works with all your software. or what you currently are using and not the nlited windows session.ini i have included. STEP 5 MUST BE RUN FROM the C:\ windows, DO NOT RUN IT FROM THE SECOND PARTITION.

if you have partition magic *hint* ,you can resize your parition, and add a second one. you need a second partition with windows to fully shrink the windows on the c drive

it all based on your memory. every memory is different basically you change each number, one @ a time, testing between each time, until, you find something with the best performance, then you make sure its stable with prime95 all night

use nlite, and disable prefetch for faster boot times for a gaming machine with a router, only things you need are shell services themes (if you want it) ie iecore (for things like CS Source and the like) without themes and ie you'd need, nothing then.

thanks dirt. I am lost for words right now. So im just gonna go and work on this project, as I have some pain killers in me, and can spend some 10 hours on it today or so. good stuff, i can get files out of vmware, so expect beta 2 today or tommarrow beta two is almost ready. A wednesday release is for sure. in vmware (without drivers) it is currently using 24.3MB and uses 48.7MB hard drive space \windows for those of you using vmware, i came up with vmware fixes so you just need to double click, in the second windows in vmware, and microwinX will boot in vmware again

hey guys, this or next month will be my last month with internet. So I will have to get this project working for everyone and done as fast as possible. My dad runs his own company, his partner has been trying to ruin it for over 10 years, tell military contacts to go f**k themselves, nasa contacts, cisco, secor, as you can see, how this would turn out. Now the tax man part, him and his partner are both responsible for the taxes even after the company goes bankrupt, so that mean they'll both be responsible for 125,000 each. My dad for many years has been dealing with his problems by over eating and drinking. Now he gave up drinking alot, and now exercises, I try to talk sence into him, telling him not to exercise, and instead do up resumes and start appling for work elsewhere, but he just does what hes always done. I would go get a job myself, but I have a grade 10 education, severe anxiety and now a back injury, only have experience in manual labour and I am great at building computers, I have applied at every computer store in my city, but none want my help. I am trying to get money on the 27ths with my lawsuit against WSIB because they blatanly denied to look at the facts, that I went from 40 hour weeks to 5 hours weeks, without getting any compensation for this, and then was forced to quit. Even though I might win this case, if it mean keeping my family off the streets, and not having internet , that is what I must do. Expect beta 2 and 3 in the next 2 weeks. I am open now, for offers of who wants to (you must be experience in this stuff) and weither it should be under one persons control, or many peoples.

yeh, bold has a huge site, and a huge knowledge of windows xp if bold tests something, it is done right.

the whole point of it, was less memory usage and to remove the need for an AV no spyare either. and i suceeded (mostly) there was one virus someone pointed out, that is horrible, but i dont think i'd even get that one anyway, nor would i dare test it

well then it makes no sence why windows would block it. try disabling windows firewall/security center to open it. can anti-virus programs detect .jpg virus' now?

post install would probally be a must. try replacing ntldr and NTDETECT.COM after windows is installed

maybe it wasn't a .gif, and rather a .jpg virus? who knows if thats what happens with windows firewall on when you get a .jpg virus?

I cant finish it, its @ 105 MB right now, it should be 57MB I am going to try to use vmware, and get the files out somehow, so it might be possible but in the end, I can never re-install windows now, or test my project on a real install in c:\ as mine is on e:\

my main problem with linux, is they dont join forces, and make something nice like osx. i would pay for it too. but microsofts biggest mistake was not using the code verifier with xp's code, like they are using with vista.
