  1. gaim, ghostwall, nero 6, winamp, winrar, done
  2. 1 more beta before a public beta. I am as far along as I am going to be right now. I am quiting smoking, so its not easy to do anything right now.
  3. I think we are good for now, awaiting next release beta 2.5
  4. yes it is possible, it should be easy enough you could have (with nvraid on an nf4 sli) 4 sata HD's, 4 sata II HD's and 4 ata 100 HD's all in raid 0 so the above should be very easy
  5. if it works under an nlite, like the one from the last_session.ini on the first page. then yes, there will be a patch made for it.
  6. I get lots of pms, with questions, I would like to be able to have a larger inbox, to give people more support. If i could get a larger inbox it would be great. I think many msfn users could use one.
  7. seriwin works i got a patch for it already. prime95 works too
  8. yes reshacker does that.
  9. no more beta tester until beta 2.5, which will be out shortly like 50, but not sure how many are actually testing it.
  10. it should be avaliable in the next month publicly, I want it to be ready before releasing it to the public. I hope you can wait.
  11. all drivers will. even ati drivers with control panel. basically, i need to see what omega drivers or dna drivers install, then remove the extra stuff, that is uneeded.
  12. thanks, i appreciate everyones support of this project. I am reinstalling themed version in a few. beta 2.5 will be great. Thanks to digitalfrost for his great work making microwinx partially work (so far) without the need for a second installed windows. beta 2 will also shrink down omega drivers, as they made a mess
  13. nice work vci, but dont worry, I can get everything to run, if it runs before stage 4
  14. thats basically it jftuga
  15. beta 2.5 will be using nlite 1.0 rc2 last_session.ini's now. cause its just alot more, i say, with a new ryanvm 2.0, this is very good stuff. along with that thread with using programs as hotfix intergation, this is a great time for nlite. beta 2.5 will included , application patches, working driver cleanup, and slight registry cleanup (in addition to the current in beta 2.0) well, please wait until i say beta 2.5 is ready for testers before making a request.
  16. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=At...pe=post&id=9281 this is it for now + a few others but not that you'll probbally use
  17. very interesting find. expect a week delay for beta 2.5, with 3 (first public beta) around the end of next month. But it will be very friendly for users, with hopefully alot of software support. Main thing is, if you want to use this later, request the software you want now. That way its ready for beta3 for you to get what you need done.
  18. everything seems faster, it boots probbally 10-15 seconds faster vs very small nlite disk but this is after lots of registry stuff, not yet included in beta 2
  19. wow nice, I am moving back to software patches today. I have had my limit with this themeless thing, lol, time to make a beta 2.5 I say.
  20. ghostwall is very difficult to use, I wouldn't use it all the time, but it is very little resource usage. its all manual entries, and setup manually, but only under 1 MB in taskmanger.
  21. have you intergrated drivers? ryanvm? if so, there could be a long pause due to this. if not make sure you remove ryanvm from the last_session.ini
  22. better than a seperate hard drive imho, would be a raid 0 strip just for your page file, along with another raid 0 strip for your operating system but yes, one page file would be better than 2, in the case of 2 hard drives, but if you had 3 hard drives, then i guess 2 page files would be better than 3 in that case. I think there is a chance, that it would try to use the page file on the first drive letter, even though your program might be trying to load off the same drive at time. the whole reason for a page file on a seperate drive imho was because it wouldn't be in use, by your program at the time.
  23. themeless beta is basically beta 2.5 themeless too. anyone who wants to test, will have to wait til friday as I reduce useless files. been busy, but been working on themeless one still, some driver things, and a tad of reg cleanup. also got java to work. and a thing called ghost wall. working on a fix for ati tray tools now. here is what the first registry cleanup will emphasise on. see html files below. as you can see, I got down to 3 runing services, for a gaming kiosk and 48 drivers from over 100, where some installs would have close to 200 right now I am playing a movie with mplayer, using a torrent program to download a linux build, using firefox and using ghost wall firewall, and only using 89.0MB ram
  24. @Gobby , next version will be better trust me @vci just wanted to show i can win if I want to (my screenshot was done in windows, with a little process explorer fun, but its all good, cause i could still use the windows with the same funtionality as the lack of drivers gave me. latest vmware test showed 46.8 MB \windows, this is cause its driverless and themeless, but without any additional file removal from the themed version. Some files didn't make it into removal before, and will be removed other ways, along with themeless getting even more file removal. so there will be a themeless version beta shortly for those who been asking.
  25. @Gobby, I dont encurage that, it will be lots of trial and error testing, as many things cannnot be removed during windows install. but anyway, I could make a patch to keep network connection icon, but you also talk about bloat lol anyway, ill try to make a patch for it, anyway, try using your firewall instead to block all network traiffic instead.
