  1. Inside your programme folder of Serpent 52 is a subfolder named browser where you have to extract the omni.ja file to a folder in which the hudservice.js file can be found under chrome\devtools\modules\devtools\client\webconsole\.
  2. Thanks! I don't know. In any case, not from my side. I'm not really a fan of Chrome. Under Windows XP, I mainly use New Moon 28, Mypal 68 and Serpent, all descendants of old Firefox versions. On my Android tablet, I have to put up with a pure Chrome world. Then please not under Windows XP as well. I hope you can understand that.
  3. FYI, I have just fixed the sporadic loading errors of the filter list "Online Malicious URL Blocklist (AdGuard)" in uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32. The fix will be provided with my next release. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  4. You're welcome! I am pleased to hear that my mod is working for you as it should. This thread was created by me so that everything about extensions and custom buttons for UXP browsers can be posted. You can find all the important links immediately in the first three posts of this thread. Right from the start, I have paid attention to a good and well thought-out structure. My mods, forks and custom buttons are offered here with important information. There will be no decoupling from this thread. In my mods uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31 and uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32, I therefore have implemented a link to the corresponding article with the title "Information" on the About tab for regular checking. Current updates can therefore be found very easily. An automatic update service will not happen. Although I do not need to do that, I am happy to share my work, which is of course very time-consuming, but potential users also need to do their bit by visiting this thread from time to time, reading, searching and asking for information and, above all, leaving feedback. Experiences, suggestions and reporting of issues are particularly important. On the other hand, any form of automatism is counterproductive and generally leads to inertia. I'm not in the mood for that.
  5. @anton12 As already described in previous posts, you can easily fix this bug yourself manually, strictly following the commit https://github.com/roytam1/UXP/commit/1116e8e137a3525b8313505a71894bb50af816d6 @roytam1 kindly posted. Works great here.
  6. And here is another important note! In order to install my new mod uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32 successfully and without any errors, please follow the instructions provided in my article! Here are the essential points once again: Backup all settings via the "Back up to file"" function in uBlock Origin. Completely uninstall the previous uBlock Origin version. Clear the browser cache. Close the browser. Manually delete the ublock0.sqlite file in your profile folder. Restart the browser. Install my mod. Import the settings from the backup file. Starting with the version uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32, my mod has a new ID. Therefore, a clean install is mandatory. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  7. Thanks! However, after a fresh install of New Moon 28, it worked without deleting the startupCache folder. But good to know. I usually delete this cache every time if I change CSS stylesheets in Mypal 68.
  8. You're right. It is not the install.rdf file. The string uBlock Origin Legacy inside this file is what is shown in the Add-ons Manager. Anyway! There are a couple of files which have to be modified, and it is more complicated as I originally thought. gorhill has created a very special, atypical and complex extension. Due to my experiences that very bad things can happen if modifying important or sensible files inside the uBlock Origin xpi file, I won't provide details about my way of modification. Please understand that! The consequence would be in the end that everyone would change something, and nothing would work afterwards. And then I have to listen to things here or elsewhere that weren't my fault. I'm not in the mood for that at all. In contrast, I definitely know what I'm doing. It's as simple as that. However, one thing is clear. Anyone can view the code of this extension themselves. It is open code and readable. Anyone with a little more in-depth knowledge knows how to identify the changes. And they are probably rather the right ones to change things. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  9. In my revised and fixed version of uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32, the issue with the empty buttons should not happen anymore. If you have further problems with my mod, or you want to post about your experiences with my mod, I would be very happy if you did that here first. Thanks! Greetings from Germany, AstroSkipper
  10. Thank you very much for clarification! I already thought that my New Moon installation was faulty. Strictly following the commit https://github.com/roytam1/UXP/commit/1116e8e137a3525b8313505a71894bb50af816d6 you posted above I performed the fixing manually. Unfortunately, my installation of New Moon 28 was indeed corrupted and showed again the issues I mentioned in my previous posts. Thus, I made a fresh install, injected the fix and now, it is working like a charm. Thanks again for pointing me to this commit!
  11. @billmcct The thread "New uBlock Origin version released (Special mod by @AstroSkipper)" in the Pale Moon forum is not the support thread of my mod uBlock Origin Legacy. By the way, this thread is badly moderated and contains a lot of off-topic comments. If you had been following the thread here closely, you would have noticed that I had found a bug which I had already fixed last night, tragically at considerable expense of time. So, as I have already announced here, you will have to download my latest version 1.16.4.32 again.
  12. Thank you very much for clarification! I already thought that my New Moon installation was faulty.
  13. If you were talking about Mypal 68, then this would be unfortunately off-topic here. This thread is about legacy extensions for UXP-based browsers. Don't forget we have a thread I created especially for extensions in Mypal 68!
  14. Right! If you look at my screenshot taken from New Moon 28, you will notice that there isn't a problem with the colours of the flags as far as I can see. It rather seems to be a problem with your browser. Try, for example, to change your colour scheme and check your graphic settings! But TBH, not realy important. What did you say about my changes? It was a lot of hard work if I may be honest at this point.
  15. Thanks for your report! But you are using the SSE version, and it can't be directly compared to mine. But maybe, I'm the only one who has the problem with the automatic start of the Browser Console. I'm curious what @roytam1 has to say about it. In any case, there is a problem with the Browser Console in the most recent version of New Moon 28 which wasn't there before.
  16. Thanks for your report! I totally forgot to mention this issue. Same problem in my installation. Once opened and closed then, the Browser Console can't be opened again. So, I can confirm your observation. But it is very annoying that the Browser Console opens automatically every time the browser is started as soon as it is called up just once.
  17. Hello @roytam1! I am running your latest version of New Moon 28 installed from the file palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20240127-d849524bd-uxp-35252384aa-xpmod.7z. When opening the Browser Console (Ctrl + Shift + J) and closing then, it will open automatically every time you start the browser again. I have tried everything possible, but this stupid Browser Console now has a life of its own. That seems to me to be an issue that wasn't there before. I noticed this issue in my dirty profile but even in a clean profile, the same issue happens. Maybe, you can reproduce and hopefully fix it.
  18. FYI! Those who might have already downloaded the new version uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32, please, reload it if the link is available again! I have revised the way of name and ID change. This way is cleaner and more global. PS: The new version can be downloaded again. An additional, strange bug happened,, and it was a bit difficult to find the cause of it. Now, I have fixed it, and the new version should hopefully run without further problems. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  19. Update notification! I have updated my special mod uBlock Origin from version 1.16.4.31 to version 1.16.4.32. I have made many changes in different areas. Among other things, I took a close look at all country-specific filter lists and replaced or added some of them. Additionally, I added to these lists their flags that are known from the webextension. Furthermore, I have removed abandoned filter lists and, if possible, replaced them with others. In particular, I implemented a brand new, rather unknown, filter list called "Dandelion Sprout’s Anti-Malware List". It has a good resonance and worked great for me. Since my previous release was unintentionally updated to the latest for this browser current webextension in Serpent 55, I have made my special mod by changing the ID so unique that this no longer happens. And so that my mod of the legacy extension is not confused with the webextension, I changed the name from "uBlock Origin" to "uBlock Origin Legacy". Here are some screenshots taken from uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32 in the most recent version of New Moon 28: A detailed changelog and the download link of uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.32 can be found in my main article uBlock Origin Legacy - A special mod by @AstroSkipper. Greetings from Germany, AstroSkipper
  20. Although I am not interested in Epyrus, and especially its developer is avoided by me, the users of the legacy extension of uBlock Origin can’t help it. However, at the moment, I won't add these changes to my mod as they have to be tested more deeply in different browsers/email clients over a longer period of time. If all is good, and these changes don't cause any problems, maybe, I’ll implement them in one of my future releases. So please, test @UCyborg's release 1.16.4.31b3 in different browsers/email clients under different OSes and report here! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  21. @Fightingfalcon Now, you may understand why it is better to post a problem publicly. The more read your request, the better. @UCyborg You now know my opinion of Epyrus and its developer. But still, from a purely technical point of view, good job!
  22. Thanks for the hint! But who says I wouldn't use this test site? I know both and some others but I don't want to post all of my results. BTW, I got a score of 99% on this site.
  23. You're welcome. To get good blocking results the combination of the used filter lists is very important. But in some cases, one has to create additional filters under "My filters" to get rid of more or at best all ads.
