In my browser New Moon 28 (32-bit) 2024-02-23), the code seems to look okay. In full windows size, there is of course no need to scroll horizontally, only vertically. But if I reduce the size of the window, however, I can confirm your issue with horizontal scrolling. Here is a screenshot to show this issue taken from New Moon 28:

yeah I got no error there

Just for testing purpose, I reinstalled the old uBlock Origin 1.16.4.30 version in MailNews. On the Settings tab, I get the "details is null" error caused by the settings.js file, on the Filter lists tab the "listDetails is null" error caused by the 3p-filters.js file and on the My filters tab the "details is null" error caused by the 1p-filters.js file.

    Mail-News-u-Block-Origin-Error-Console-2

To reproduce these errors you have to call up each of these tabs and simply reload them via the context menu (right click everywhere on the corresponding site). :)

if ublock doesn't error out, then it can not able to debug easily.

Okay! But what do you think about the corresponding error message "Error: TypeError: details is null" on the affected setting pages of uBlock Origin:dubbio: Isn't that an error out by uBO? The variable details belongs to a function on uBO's JavaScript file settings.js.

    CurrPorts

With the analysis tool CurrPorts from NirSoft, you can display all occupied ports for TCP/IP and UDP on your computer. The tool lists each process with open ports and extensive information such as local and external addresses of a program connected to the internet or a network. If desired, the tool creates a clear TXT, HTML or XML document from this. Even after so many years and updates, CurrPorts is still compatible with Windows XP, like most programs from NirSoft portable and of course free of charge. All further information can be found on the CurrPorts homepage.

    Quotation from their homepage:

    Homepage: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html

    Version number: 2.75

I love all the tools from NirSoft. CurrPorts is one of them. Knowing exactly which program uses which port and connects to where is very important and can play a crucial role in terms of system security. In my opinion, you simply have to have this program, especially just in case. :thumbup

CurrPorts has been updated on 13.12.2023 and is now available in version 2.77. It is still listed to be compatible with Windows XP. Accordingly, I'll update my article as soon as possible.

    Panda Free Antivirus

Panda Free Antivirus (recently also called Panda Dome) is a cloud-based antivirus application designed to protect the user without wasting resources. It is extremely light as all the work is done in the cloud. Panda Free Antivirus provides fast protection against the newest viruses thanks to its cloud-scanning from Panda servers. Even the most recent version of Panda Free Antivirus is still compatible with Windows XP (SP3 32 bit editions only).

    Features:

    • Antivirus Protection - Real-time protection against all types of malware and spyware. Schedule periodic scans and/or scan your computer on demand.
    • USB protection - Protect your PC by preventing the automatic execution of malware from USB drives. Scan all USB drives upon insertion.
    • Panda rescue kit - Free PC recovery system. Run an advanced scan of your PC or create a rescue USB drive to boot and clean those infected computers that won’t even start.
    • Multimedia/Game mode - This mode ensures you play or watch multimedia content without disturbance from your antivirus while remaining completely secure.

    Version number: 22.02.00 update.gif

    Date of release: 31.10.2023

    Previous versions:

    • 22.00.01 released on 01.04.2023
    • 22.01.01 released on 15.09.2023

    System requirements:

Compatible with: Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP (SP3 or higher, 32 bit only).

Compatibility with Windows XP 64 bit:
As already confirmed by @WSC4 and @UCyborg, Panda Free Antivirus is unfortunately not fully compatible with Windows XP 64 bit editions. smilie-denk-17.gif The installer doesn't seem to detect the already existing .NET Framework 4 installation. A .NET Framework reinstallation via the installer also fails. If you still want to use Panda Free Antivirus under Windows XP 64 bit, you need to make some changes for the installer to work properly, which @UCyborg has found out and described here:
    https://msfn.org/board/topic/184730-antimalware-firewall-and-other-security-programs-for-windows-xp-working-in-2023-and-hopefully-beyond/?do=findComment&comment=1253877
Whether Panda Free Antivirus will run stably under Windows XP 64 bit is currently unclear and has to be confirmed yet. In any case, everything is without guarantee and at your own responsibility. jexplique.gif

    Release notes:

    • New cloud-based disinfection engine
    • New behavioral analysis engine in the free edition
    • Improved offline protection
    • Process monitor allows seeing Internet connections on a per process basis
    • Improved performance and 50% faster scans
    • Compatibility with newer versions of Windows
    • New interface
    • Ability to manage different licenses

Panda Free Antivirus is based on new cloud computing concept in which services are provided over Internet. This new antivirus scans files through Internet which makes it very light on system resources. It also doesn’t need regular updating of virus definitions as it automatically updates the virus definitions in the cloud (remote server) and scans files using those latest virus definitions. The user should have a good speed Internet connection to fully utilize this new cloud based antivirus otherwise it won’t work. No problem if the user is offline, it’ll still protect the system from virus attack as it stores the virus definitions in local cache as well. The system load of Panda Free Antivirus is very low (lower than it was for example with WiseVector StopX), and the detection rate is supposed to be very good according to my research. I used it for a while, and it is definitely an option for Windows XP. o-k.gif

    Update notification! update.gif

Panda Free Antivirus has been updated on 27.12.2023 and is now of version 22.02.01. Thus, I'll update my article and my list in terms of Panda Free Antivirus.
Maybe. one of you can test the new version first of all under Windows XP SP3 32 bit to be sure it is still compatible as advertised here: https://www.pandasecurity.com/en/homeusers/windows-antivirus/
This is a quotation from this website:

    Quote

Compatible with: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP (SP3 or higher)

And again, such a confirmation would be great as we all already know, the proof is in the pudding. :P

so what is your current antivirus programm

On one XP partition, I am using Malwarebytes Premium 3.5.1.2522, and on the other one, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro 1.75.0.1300 due to the lifetime license I own for many years. :)

If I didn’t have this lifetime license and preferred a free antimalware programme, I would choose Panda Free Antivirus on Windows XP

The research for this article was hell. smilie_g_002.gif Useful information about AVG Antivirus Free 18.8.4084.0 was almost impossible to find. The support (Avast) only points to their own Avast products.
If someone is looking for support for AVG Antivirus Free 18.8.4084.0, he can expect something. And I don't mean anything good by that. Personally, I will think three times from now on whether I write anything about AVG again. suisjebete.gif

My advice: Forget about AVG!

Thanks! :) Which version of Ultra Virus Killer did you install in Windows XP? As you may know, the last XP-compatible version is 11.9.8.0 as I stated in my article about Ultra Virus Killer. When I tested this version for writing my article, I didn't get such a message.

    Malware Hunter is only byable

Where did you get this information? :dubbio: It usually comes in two versions, the free version Malware Hunter and the commercial version Malware Hunter Pro. As already described in my article, the features real-time protection and automatic updates are only available in Malware Hunter Pro.

Actually, Glarysoft Malware Hunter Pro has a 30-day free trial period. After that, you must purchase a license for the software to use all its professional features. That means you can use it as an on demand scanner when the trial period has expired.

    is that ok?

    Screenshot_1.jpg

Yep! However, I deactivated the file PromoUtil.exe in my installation when I used this security programme. Less pop-ups and less RAM consumption. The problem with all recent 360 Total Security versions is the quality of their scanners since they don't use Avira and Bitdefender scan engines any longer but unfortunately their own ones, 360 Cloud Scan Engine, 360 QVMII AI Engine, QEX and KunPeng. Read this review here: https://www.safetydetectives.com/best-antivirus/360-total-security/
And once again, please provide more information when you do a request! One image and a few words are simply too few. smilie_denk_24.gif

Yes i reproduce the crash, while you may help by checking previous versions.

What I can say in any case is that Mypal 68.13.7b is also affected by this issue. And after a short test, Mypal 68.13.3b is affected by these sporadic crashes, too. All in single-process mode. In multiprocess mode, on the other hand, Mypal 68.13.7b doesn't seem to crash on Codeberg.org, i.e. just as in Mypal 68.13.9b.

    Are you talking for this?

Among other things! Try to scan a couple of files! Check the RAM consumption and the CPU usage using a tool like Process Hacker! In short, check the scanner abilities and the whole programme performance! At least, I would do that to get an impression whether the programme is any good.
