I have now updated the article only because of a trick.
The MSFN post editor is also completely broken for certain content that is manually quoted. The last months, any editing of especially older posts is a pure game of chance.

Just for testing purpose, I reinstalled the old uBlock Origin 1.16.4.30 version in MailNews. On the Settings tab, I get the "details is null" error caused by the settings.js file, on the Filter lists tab the "listDetails is null" error caused by the 3p-filters.js file and on the My filters tab the "details is null" error caused by the 1p-filters.js file.
To reproduce these errors you have to call up each of these tabs and simply reload them via the context menu (right click everywhere on the corresponding site).

Okay! But what do you think about the corresponding error message "Error: TypeError: details is null" on the affected setting pages of uBlock Origin?
Isn't that an error out by uBO? The variable details belongs to a function on uBO's JavaScript file settings.js.

I love all the tools from NirSoft. CurrPorts is one of them. Knowing exactly which program uses which port and connects to where is very important and can play a crucial role in terms of system security. In my opinion, you simply have to have this program, especially just in case.

Update notification!
CurrPorts has been updated on 13.12.2023 and is now available in version 2.77. It is still listed to be compatible with Windows XP. Accordingly, I'll update my article as soon as possible.

As already confirmed by @WSC4 and @UCyborg, Panda Free Antivirus is unfortunately not fully compatible with Windows XP 64 bit editions. The installer doesn't seem to detect the already existing .NET Framework 4 installation. A .NET Framework reinstallation via the installer also fails. If you still want to use Panda Free Antivirus under Windows XP 64 bit, you need to make some changes for the installer to work properly, which @UCyborg has found out and described here:

Panda Free Antivirus is based on new cloud computing concept in which services are provided over Internet. This new antivirus scans files through Internet which makes it very light on system resources. It also doesn’t need regular updating of virus definitions as it automatically updates the virus definitions in the cloud (remote server) and scans files using those latest virus definitions. The user should have a good speed Internet connection to fully utilize this new cloud based antivirus otherwise it won’t work. No problem if the user is offline, it’ll still protect the system from virus attack as it stores the virus definitions in local cache as well. Which version do you refer to? And don't forget this thread is about security programmes under Windows XP only. The last time, when I installed Panda Free Antivirus under Windows XP 32-bit, all was fine. No problems at all.

If I didn’t have this lifetime license and preferred a free antimalware programme, I would choose Panda Free Antivirus on Windows XP.

That's very wise. Some combinations of these programmes are possible but more than one real-time scanner can cause problems as you surely know.

Which version of Ultra Virus Killer did you install in Windows XP? As you may know, the last XP-compatible version is 11.9.8.0 as I stated in my article about Ultra Virus Killer. When I tested this version for writing my article, I didn't get such a message.

Actually, Glarysoft Malware Hunter Pro has a 30-day free trial period. After that, you must purchase a license for the software to use all its professional features. That means you can use it as an on demand scanner when the trial period has expired.

Yep! However, I deactivated the file PromoUtil.exe in my installation when I used this security programme. Less pop-ups and less RAM consumption. The problem with all recent 360 Total Security versions is the quality of their scanners since they don't use Avira and Bitdefender scan engines any longer but unfortunately their own ones, 360 Cloud Scan Engine, 360 QVMII AI Engine, QEX and KunPeng. What I can say in any case is that Mypal 68.13.7b is also affected by this issue. And after a short test, Mypal 68.13.3b is affected by these sporadic crashes, too. All in single-process mode. In multiprocess mode, on the other hand, Mypal 68.13.7b doesn't seem to crash on Codeberg.org, i.e. just as in Mypal 68.13.9b.

Among other things! Try to scan a couple of files! Check the RAM consumption and the CPU usage using a tool like Process Hacker! In short, check the scanner abilities and the whole programme performance! At least, I would do that to get an impression whether the programme is any good.

Update of content
In my browser New Moon 28 (32-bit) 2024-02-23), the code seems to look okay. In full windows size, there is of course no need to scroll horizontally, only vertically. But if I reduce the size of the window, however, I can confirm your issue with horizontal scrolling. Here is a screenshot to show this issue taken from New Moon 28:
