  3. Sure you can boot it from the CD. Just press F10 when you are prompted to press F6 to load third party device drivers. It will take you directly to the recovery console after the storage drivers are loaded.

  6. I don't know if it's said before, but you CAN run Recovery Console on an unattended CD... When you are prompted to press F6 to load mass storage drivers at the begining of the setup, you can press F10 and it will take you directly into recovery console.

  19. ok, i know most of the details with this issue, however: as far as i know, longhorn offers ability to load mass storage drivers durring the partitioning (instead at the begining of the setupldr.bin loading), so i was wondering, what would be the chances we could replace xp's SMSS.EXE in E:\I386\SYSTEM32 with the longhorn one, and get this thing working...

  22. It's gonna be pain in the a** adding two drivers for each device, one for IA64 and one for AMD64..
  23. WARNING: Including software modem drivers is likely to create 70% more possibility of a BSOD with your UACD... Many of these devices have the same HW ID, but radically different and incompatible drivers.
