  1. I can't recommend an nVidia Chipset based board for what you want to do. I'd suggest you get yourself an Intel based motherboard instead.
  2. If the CPU was able to be added through a BIOS update, it would have been mentioned on the site I refered you to. So again, no.
  3. Maybe this will help you : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn14oA6Db4k...feature=related
  4. Nope, your motherboard does not support it. Check http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupp...SLanguage=en-us for ASUS CPU support.
  5. My guess would be your cooler probably isn't seated correctly.
  6. lol gamehead, I'm going to hire you when I need data entry.
  7. Interesting article on The Inquirer about the 9800GX2 can be found here : http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/new...ati-losing-mojo .
  8. Throw it out and get a new drive. It's not worth the hassle to try to repair something like that.
  9. Throw the **** thing out and buy a new one from a reputable source. Give it up. You can get brand new 1GB USB memory sticks for less then $10. You're beating down a dead path.
  10. Actually, you can. See http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su...jsp?soid=965832 .
  11. As far as I know, the only widescreen monitors with composite inputs are certain models of the Dell UltraSharp series.
  12. There are only TWO types of connections on the Samsung 2232BW, D-sub and DVI-D! The other specifications are for the SIGNAL not the connections, as puntoMX has repeated several times.
  13. Same reason that AMD, starting with Athlon XPs, started using "performance indicator numbers" for their CPU versions instead of the clock speed. Marketing.
  14. Not really, Microsoft's version is far from easy to navigate and not very useful. I have plans to refresh WUD with an even easier to use and more powerful interface when I can get some free time (which seems hard to come by).
  15. The entire 9x00 series will be based on the G92. nVidia isn't going to release a new design until (what remains of) the competition releases something new, they're holding back on their roadmap at the moment, similar to what Intel is doing.
  16. A preview of the upcoming nVidia GeForce 9800GX2 is available online now over at Tom's Hardware.
  17. It'll have to become feasible, there's no other way to do it. Find a friend with a regular computer to test it with.
  18. Can you ask people who've posted compatibility with their SATA drives with their motherboards if that was in IDE, AHCI and/or RAID modes? Thanks.
  19. Those based on the Silicon Image 3112 and 3512 chipsets do, flawlessly, in both IDE and RAID modes. (See http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=110235) I run all four of my Pioneer DVR-212Ds on a single PCI Silicon Image 3512 based SATA RAID card. You want your high bandwidth items (ie: hard drives) on the southbridge of the motherboard where they're not restricted by the PCI bus, where for optical drives, it doesn't matter as much since they have a lower peak bandwidth. Something like this would work fine : http://www.syba.com/Product/Info/Id/330 Another thing is that software RAID cards like those one can be flashed in IDE mode furthering SATA ATAPI compatibility even more.
