  1. THIS IS NOT TO DISCUSS CRACKIN ANYONE ELSES PASSWORD NOR ANYTHING ABOUT ILLEGAL PROGRAMS PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SUGGESTING SUCH THINGS! Sorry moderators if this turns into a topic you might have too lock/delete. but what i need done is COMPLETLY legit. This is only a request so i can get MY aim password back. so i lost my aim password... but i still have the encrypted password from a registry backup. i tried "spoonfeeding" the encrypted password right into the registry but still tells me the password is incorrect. I've tried one program that will translate the aim password but thats only for versions 4.7 and below. anyways.. does anyone know of a LEGAL program that contains no viruses/spyware/adware/trojans/keyloggers/etc.... that will decrypt my encrypted password and show the password. it must work for version 5.5.3595... Thanks *sorry moderators.. would've done a search but it has too be 4 characters or more*
  2. well.. my cam just got all blurry i took a screenshot of a program called DU-Meter going from about 13kbps upload too 0.5 kbps upload.... Red = Download Green = Upload Yellow = Upload and Download
  3. who... what... where... huh? someone mention my name? i'll deinently be using this if/when you release it *EDIT* awwww crap..... didn't notice it was in spanish
  4. just got done moving and got my cable internet. its advertised at 1500/150 speed. well.. i've noticed I get a lot of page cannot be displayed messages and MS-Dos Command prompt things such as netstat ping and tracert take A LOT longer. anyone know how i could fix this... or is this the ISP itself? Also.. this ISP enforces a cap... if you download over 500 megs or upload more then 56 megs within 2 hours then they cap your speed..I've felt it almost as low as a 56K modem.. I find that stupid as i'm paying for the cable let me use it. I'm always on WebCam with my GF and upload about 14kbps which is roughly 100 megs uploaded in that 2 hour window. I've just reread all their paperwork and user agreement crap and didn't see a single word on them capping speeds but got this information off dslreports.com. The internet gets soo slow that i'm laggy as hell on my webcam can't talk and can't see or hear her so my gf and I just end the video connection and i'll still lag. i'll also send her an IM on AIM and listen too how long it takes for her too get it. sometimes its up in the 1 minute - 2 minute time.... *having her say I Love You then me replying back too her saying "I love you too" only too have it take 2 minutes for her too get it.. she even once went into this big fit of "oh what you had too think about it..." and now i'm rambling on.. sorry
  5. I'll have too agree on sleepnmojo. even if he is joking. I'm not a System Administrator yet... But i've heard of many stories admins go through everyday. Stupid things like the user used the CD-Rom as a cup holder... The user put a peice of paper up too the screen and hit fax and wondered why it didn't work.. even things that had nothing too do with computers.. "the copy machine broke. lets contact the computer administrator... hell it has wires in it too.." I've also heard from many system administrators that had too go back too work at like 3 am cause the printer wasn't printing only too find out it wasn't plugged in... and now theres 500 jobs in the queue cause we all know.. if it doesn't work te first time.. try clicking it a second and third and fourth try... I go to my relatives houses and fix their computers. well it always keeps getting worse. may go to fix the network. get that done and you find out the person has 500 adaware/spyware. get rid of those and find theres 60 viruses. I've even spent 6+ hours fixing my aunts computer got so fustrated that i just made up some stupid crap too get me outof it so i could go home (it was like 2:30 am)
  6. its been a while since i used AOL. but i had a program that looked at what data your computer sent and you could make a DialUp Connection. i'm not sure if they fixed it or whatever... i'll try too find the program.
  7. *counts* I only see 7.............. did i fail math class?
  8. can the other computers access the internet? if so.. make sure you have "obtain IP address automatically" if you have DHCP enabled on your router. Also make sure DNS is setup too "obtain automatiacally" also.... also try too "ping" the router and other computers start -> run -> cmd -> ping *IP of other computer and Router*
  9. I enjoyed playing Doom 1 and 2 MUCH more than Doom 3. Oh, and if you think Doom 3 is anything more than just point and shoot, then you're sorely mistaken. I used to think Doom 3 had a chance against Half-Life 2, but it now looks as though it's gonna have its arse whipped tenfold. My vote for the scariest game ever goes to System Shock 2, or Thief 3 in the haunted orphanage. Doom 1 and 2 all you had too do was aim in the general vicinity of the enemy with a rocket launcher and it went right too them. never had too point up or down too kill anything. Doom3 you have too point the rocket launcher and shoot not just have them on the screen and fire away. Thats why i never had that much fun in Doom 1 & 2 but hell.. when you had a 50 mhz computer and Doom 1 & 2 was barely hitting System Requirements.. that was fun good ol' days. But as for doom 3 being the scariest game... well if you have headphones on lights off no cheat codes and are an avid gamer and actaully "become" the game. feel as if it was real.. then yea. Doom 3 is gold. mainly all sound like people screaming over the intercom, screams coming from within the walls. eerie lighting... yea.. its enough too freak you out.
  10. yeap.... just checked everything making sure all went well.. and can do everything like a normal network.. *EDIT* ok got another problem... my dad uses a program called "Echolink" that needs 3 ports open. if he has his laptop plugged in through cat-5 cable it works cause he port forwarding is sending it too his computer (192.168.100.10) but when he uses the wireless it treats the USB connector as a diffrent computer (has is own MAC address) and his IP now becomes 192.168.100.11... on my router setup page, it actualy shows 2 laptops, same name but 2 diffrent IP's.... anyway i can get it so he doesn't have too go into the router evertime he goes between Wired and Wireless?
  11. looks like i got a lot done now thanks too ya right now i have internet on router 2, can access both router 1 and 2's setup pages, and can view other computers on the network on this computer... not sure on the wireless yet... gonna go try that now.
  12. you can't be the most stupid MSFN member! I IS!!!!
  13. gonna download it and "play around" with it when i get my wireless internet crap all sorted out
  14. Read Manual....... I'M AN AMERICAN! I don't need no stinkin Manual!! *rips Manual in peices*
  15. yea i agree with Pyron, this is just a simple network don't think i would need 3 & 4. but yea, i'll try Pyron's solution first. then try yours Astalavista. also... just too get an idea of whats going on here... Router 1's IP: 192.168.100.1 Router 2's IP: 192.168.100.2 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 on both of course Workgroup: Workgroup I currently have DHCP on BOTH but gonna go disable all that and try Pyrons solution after i post this. so should my IP's be on diffrent ranges..? example.. Router 1: 192.168.100.1 Router 2: 192.168.101.1 *EDIT* ok... did some research and someone else was having the same type of configuration. he had 2 routers with the same IP.. they told him too change it so that router 1 would be 192.168.1.1 and router 2 would be 192.168.1.2.... and too use a straight-through cable.. i'm currently using a crossover cable is that bad? or should i use a straight-through?
  16. WIRELESS SUCKS!!!!!!!!! ok.... my family and I are moving too Idaho... well we currently have a Router (siemens 2604) and all is working well.. then my dad went out today and bought 1 wireless router 1 wireless USB connector and 1 wireless PCI card. i'm actually on the internet now through the wireless USB connector. so the wireless IS working. but.. can't see eachother on the network nor is there any security.. lots of new terms i'm never heard of like "SSID" so not knowing anything about wireless we're basically sitting out in the open. so....... does anyone have any links too somesort of guide too connecting 2 routers and securing the wireless network? thanks, Easily Confused, Bi0haZard
  17. Regshot is your friend take a shot before doing a change then do the change and then compare the change. Download: here and best of all... it's FREEWARE!
  18. hmmm.... good idea I'll give it a shot i've tried too use W32Dasm (windows disassembler) and see if i could change it in there.. but haven't been able too understand it. so gave up on that. also tried Resource hacker and yet again.. can't find a way.. i'll get it eventually.
  19. hmm... never really looked at it that way... since i'm not really liking C++ i'm gonna head down the C# path
