  7. ahh 1 more bit.... I'm guessing you made a SNES controler not a NES controller, but i've also sucessfuly WITHOUT changing any settings played NES, SNES, Atari, GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, N64 (kinda hard with no joystick and missing some buttons), and Sega Genesis roms all with this 1 controller. happy gaming *digs through his junk hoping too find his controller* now i wanna start playin the old games again *sorry for the crappy focus on this pic... its 4 am here and haven't slept for 3 days* oh, I tried running the NTPad on the link i sent you... and it was a no go. had too dig around on my backup drive too find a prog called "Parallel Port Joystick" or PPJoy for short. its 1.3 megs so i can't post it up here.
  8. congrats! the one i made *the link i provided* all i did was went too my local radio shack bought me a pack of diodes and the male parellel connector with casing... all mine looks like is a SNES controller that has a parrelel connector insted and i just leave it plugged in all the time. Total Cost... about 15 bucks... or cheaper for the WHOLE project. 9.99 for controller 1.50 for diodes 2.00 for connector
  9. LOL, if anyone gets ya that i call dibs on your current Graphics Card another thing that i just though of, is it seems Nvidia updates their drivers more often then ATI, I'm running a Geforce but i'm still using the older 56.16 or whatever drivers since anything above that seems too cause my comp too restart during gameplay.
  10. same here i've always heard rumors of: Ge-Force cards were for the serious gamer, and ATI were for people that liked doing multimedia crap, but after seeing the benchmarks on Tomshardware.com i'm leaning towards the ATI cards. another thing about Geforce that i hate is they have like 50 vendor companies that use Geforce such as PNY, BFG, Arcade FX, etc.... Example...so its hard too get support for your specific card. Where as all the ATI cards are all made by ATI. yea, my next card is definently gonna be an ATI now that i think about it.
  11. Lisa, if you don't got any spyware protection such as ad-aware and/or spybot you should pick those up. 1. Ad-Aware 2. SpyBot those should fix your problem, and make sure too do at least a weekly scan and also use the built-in "scan for updates" function too make sure your protected from future spyware/ad-ware. good luck
  12. yay! just found it. for future refrences i have attached a screenshot of what too check if this happens too any of you.... This can happen with any extension and this fix will fix it. just think if this had happened too an exe file.... : 1. Click My Computer, click Tools, and then click Folder Options. 2. Click File types, and then highlight a file type. 3. Click Advanced, and then click to select Confirm open after download. thanks everyone
  13. used too use Winzip all the time, but i've found the built in zip decompressor simple and since i'm not making zip files theres no real need for winzip. but yea, still looking for that option that MCT said, its like trying too find "Waldo" in a dictionary....
  14. I know what you mean but yes your very true this is a delicate matter don't wanna have it translate This will screw up your mainboard by frying the memory and overwriting the CMOS with a nudie picture into This is a completly safe procedure and will in no way destroy your computer here ya go: Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer are in the rghit pclae. 15. I made a SNES controller for PC about 8 years ago. only parts needed were like 5 diodes a parallel port connector and thats all... the official drivers for it aren't available anymore. but i've found some that do work. i've been more then pleased with it. although its only 1 controller per computer Single SNES Controller. (SNES to Parallel Port) Also, theres a program out there called zbattlenet which will allow you too play Multiplayer SNES games through ZSNES but I couldn't find it out there haven't used that prog in like 5 years All the USB ones that i have seen haven't been schematics, they were all products. I saw one connector that i kinda wish i bough when i was playin emmulators on my computer, but i can't remeber the name.... but it was a USB to a junction box that had SNES/DreamCast/Sega/PSX connectors on it, pretty sweet i'm sure they have upgraded it if its still out there. but the price was around 80 bucks. so i never bought it. hmm...... now you got me thinking about getting out my controller and start playin again
  16. I was browsin the net today and came across a zip file i wanted too download. well when i clicked on the link the file download flashed on screen then showed the contents of the file..... I'm guessing my sister or dad had hit open insted of save. so any zip file i click on it auto downloads and shows the contents of the zip file..... anyone know how too fix that problem? Thanks
  17. apples own oranges hands down! lol just wondering about benchmarks and all that crap...
  18. hmm, i'll try it later on today don't wanna have too completly remove internet access during the day. When i had just once computer connected right too the modem, it was giving me a new IP whenever i powercycled. but once i plugged back into my router it gave me back my old IP. but yea, i'll try your method later tonight and tell you how it goes thanks

  22. I got Comcast Cable Internet, and they use Static IP's last time i checked... (Obtains IP from the ISP) anyone know of a way too get this changed when you want...? I've had multiple IP's from Comcast so I know they are static (changed so much i had too get a DNS too keep up such as cjb.net) My current IP address is getting hit by someone trying common trojan horse ports and FTP/Web that are blocked by my router and firewall program. I've tried powercycling the modem (unplug wait half hour plug back in) I've tried resetting the modem (hold down the button in the back have too re-run their software and it gives back my old IP) I've tried just having 1 comp connected and doing IPconfig /releaseall hoping.. but i may have done that wrong.. any help will be appreciated Thanks
  23. I got Comcast Cable Internet, but i don't think they are working together... all the people i ever met that had Cox cable were all down in southern california in the los angelas and sandiego area..
  24. 1. Make sure both computers are on the same IP and subnet mask ranges... 2. Check the IP's using ipconfig in a dos prompt on both comps... and put up a screenshot of the results. 3. Also check too make sure both comps are on the same Workgroup... triple check that =P hope that helps...
