  1. Emulators aren't illegal if your talking about breaking the rules... so long as you OWN the games that you play. all my games i Own and still have all the original cartriges and CD's so i'm not breaking any laws. I had a PS2 till my sister sold it but looking back on some of the mods for XBox like bigger hard drive networking etc.. i really wish i had gotten an Xbox. I only got a PS2 cause thats what my friends and family have. but i should've bought the Xbox so that we woudl've had 2 gaming consoles.. oh well
  2. Its called pcsx2 you can get it and look at screenshots here.. http://www.pcsx2.net/ also.. after reading the forum.. apparently Grand Theft Auto San Andreas DOES NOT work on pcsx2.. only game that they show that has had problems is Dragonball2 *you can see it on the site at the top of the screenshots* all the triangles are screwed up. but as for my games.. all my games work wonders but i'm usings a keyboard.. so i'll probably make a controller soon.
  3. not quite sure about this.. but I think its.. 100 posts = 1 star 200 posts = 2 stars 300 posts = 3 stars etc.. except for Moderators who can change their stars up to i think its 9 max.. when they want to. the title changes i believe are also moderator/admin controlled.. post here frequently, on the correct forums, and be helpful and i'm sure they will give ya a title change if ya ask. not sure though if this is like the PHP-Nuke systems they gotta set up a new group to change your title.
  4. wow i'm embarresed... I didn't even know today was Vetrans Day.. guess i need to get out of this cave more often. anyways.. happy Vetrans day /salute My Google logo never changed either.. its the original logo
  5. Jun 7 2003, 10:02 AM -> Nov 10 2004, 03:49 AM thats a necro bump for ya... and there should be an option for "all of the above" I voted Mistake Edition btw..
  6. this is simple... Computer + Emmulator + Rom/CD/DVD = Best Gaming Console ever I got... NES SNES Gameboy Sega Genesis PSX PS2 DreamCast GameCube all on my computer and wasn't it Capcom that went bankrupt? or was that Akklaim? (Spelling?)
  7. ROFL!!! nice!
  8. i have to agree with all the hacking comments on here.. its unlawful breaking and entering of another persons computer or system (ftp / web servers) I only "hack" if i have permission to so its not really hacking.. example... lost passwords *thats about the only reason to hack* cracking however.. i see a diffrent approach... I see Cracking as changing a program to fit your needs.. example.. to remove "nagware" *the loading screens that have like 20 seconds before you can hit continue evaluation* I know most people are going to disagree with my opinion as its stated in most User Agreements "reverse engineering blah blah blah is not permitted blah blah blah" but aren't you doing the same thing with programs like Resource Hacker to remove things you don't use or to change the program to your own needs? but thats just my 2 cents
  9. IllWillPress.com OWNS any humor site. Foamy the lord and master back to the original topic... if you know what your doing.. on the ATX connector (big white connector that plugs into the mainboard.. NOT THE WALL!) connect a paper clip or some other wire from the green plug thingy to a black plug thingy... if the powersupply fan turns on then its probably not your Powersupply but maybe connections on the motherboard.. if you have replaced the mother board or any other component inside the computer make sure the power switch is plugged to the main board correctly.
  10. couldn't open the page..... IE and Firefox both say it timed out... unless you took the server down already..
  11. posted here last night Need Help making Restore CD's to Normal CD's.... and after spening all day tinkering with files and tryying over and over with no success.. I ask this question.. also.. sorry if i post this on the wrong forum.. its kinda unattended cause i want it to be unattended batch job lol. How hard would making a Batch File on a CD to uninstall programs that are auto installed be? I'm guessing this is gonna be my way of doing my "unattended" Windows XP Home CD... do programs have the equivlent to /silent for uninstallers? or am i gonna have to do it all manually...?
  12. You can create your own files. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/oeminfo.htm kk will do that =P I didn't want to edit the file incase i screwed it up some how.. lol
  13. hope the title fits.. lol. and hope i can explain this correctly. *This is Windows XP Home without SP1 slipstreamed* I got an eMachine T2341... it has 2 Restore CD's. in each restore CD there are 2 files with the extenstion .GHO (Norton Ghost). and using IsoBuster I found a file named BootImage.img and BootCatalog.cat. so i copied all these files and used Norton Ghost to open the .GHO files. it looks like a normal C drive in there.. theres Documents and Settings, My Music, Windows, Program Files, Sysprep, etc... and the BootImage.img i opened using MagicISO, it has all the files for a boot floppy along with an Autoexec.bat file that has all text for when the CD is inserted and it asks if i want to restore the hard drive or quit.. well... i wanna take the files and make an Unattended CD so that i can pick which crap-ware isn't installed, which reg settings i want, etc... so would i just copy out the I386 Folder from the windows directory? or how would i go about doing this... also.. would it be breaking any copyright laws asking if someone could send me their Oemlogo.bmp *C:\Windows\system32* Oeminfo.ini *C:\Windows\system32* for Windows XP Home or would these files be overwritten when i slipstream SP1? also.. how would i go about changing the branded button in the startmenu? *see picture*
  14. oh ok will search for FireTweaker thanks
  15. still a firefox newb .... I'm an Ex-Internet Explorer Hard-Core Fan.. so be nice to me but.. after lookin on the internet for how to make Firefox faster i found this.: To get started, type "about:config" in your firefox address bar. The settings you're looking for are: 1.) network.http.pipelining 2.) network.http.pipelining.firstrequest 3.) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 4.) network.http.proxy.pipelining 5.) nglayout.initialpaint.delay Set #1, #2, and #4 to "true". Set #3 to a high number, like 32. Set #5 to 0. well... did 1-4 but i don't see "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" in the list.. anyone else not have this setting? I tried searching on google and couldn't find anything about it. *EDIT* Off topic but still on topic B) anyone else thats using firefox having trouble hitting the smilies and Tags on MSFN? whenever i do it goes to the bottom of the post not where i want it to...
  16. nope, i tried this well.. on windows xp that is.. and it came back with The synax of the command is incorrect I know my DOS, so i know i did the command correctly but i believe when the asterik (*) is put there, it looks for files not folders. @leeleeleelee looks very promising but you'll still see the folder in dos. but just be smart and don't put the folder right off the C drive and you'll be fine against 95% of the people.
  17. click the Start button click Run type: control userpasswords2 click OK click Advanced tab select Manage Passwords delete whichever Passport entries you don't want click OK/Apply. not to sure about this, as i never use MSN. If that doesn't do it. then i'ts probably in the registry somewhere... simple google search should find that. I would guess.. it would be at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger" again.. not sure, as i don't use MSN.
  18. view the source, search the source for .midi and copy that link and put it in internet explorer.. it should come up with the download box. if not, you can always listen to the full midi then search your internet cache for the midi. if all else fails, give me the link to the midi and i'll see what i can do =P FireFox > Internet Explorer... if you got Firefox.. hit tools -> Page info -> Media Tab then look in that list for the midi... and hit save...
  19. sure does... 0.000000001% discount
  20. Happy Birthday XPerties
  21. only alternative besides downloading a program i could find. i'll try to download tweak xp pro and check that. but i'm sure it encrypts and locks the folder using the program not doing any registry modifications..
  22. Your trick needs no special program to unlock that folder. Simply, anyone can go to a DOS prompt and type ren tech* data and they're done. never though of that.......... next time i'm on a windows ME or below box i'll try. I think it still comes up with the error... but even if that does allow a work around, it provides security against most people. if you want really good protection you would have to use soemthing like Folder Guard
  23. hmm.... link works ok on both my main computer and my server. hell... i'll add .html to the end maybe that will work.... i'm also gonna take a screenshot and submit it to the monthly theme/background post.. Updated link... Gorrilla
  24. roger that, thanks just downloaded a patcher off the neowins site thats supposed to be universal. detects and pathes accordingly.. nevermind got some off customize.org Currently Using Gorilla 1.0 again, many thanks the default silver windows xp theme was geting rather boring lol.
  25. I would do... in a batchfile cd\ cd %allusersprofile%\desktop del winzip.lnk
