  1. I note you HATH done your MATH and like a MOTH to light, they DOTH chase DOTS and dashes to count NOTS and s3ws as another JOTS what the ROTS have learned by ROTE in the MOTE they call a mind but VOTE shall over come count and we shall DOTE under this DOME the TOME that will take its TOLE on each VOLE in this VALE that makes a RALE for he who presides shall RATE all and take a RAKE to each FAKE that failed to TAKE note OF TARE and their efforts shall be TORE.
  2. Nah, nowhere near as good as your previous one. The one you did before had more sense. That's why I dropped it on my last post. I could only come up with stuff that didn't make any sense at all. Just restart at KELL.
  3. I thought that was the meter stick. That is a good and old saying but it is a criticism of method, not measurement. Just clarifying. Standard measures have been evolving for a long, long time and will have had the opportunity to pick up more sayings, expressions and 'rules'.
  4. Ok. That's pretty good. You win IcemanND's 'Dr Suess Award of the Day'. <genuflects> Got broken at kelp:keal. Had to look this one up (had to do that a couple of times, eg. darg: a days work or a days labor (I like that word)) and it is the only word I could find to continue this. KELL. There were one or two others but they were archaic or a different language. Kell pushes the limits in it's own way. It is a chrysalis but I would have to say the word is obscure at best. Anyway, I made a string of 45 words (not listed ) and that was only in one direction, so there are plenty more out there. Couldn't make anything worthwhile out of the list. I see someone has posted since I started this post. Sorry.

    Hello

Hi carpenter_freak, Wood you share with us which of their songs are your favorite or was it just Karen? Welcome to MSFN. DL
  7. Which reminds me. Do these numbers look familiar? 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 That's right, they are the denominators in fractions of an inch. Use them all the time, don't we?
  8. Actually, I had originally matched the number you had in the prior post but while I was working mine out, you went back and amended yours and I had to start all over. The previous post uses pluralized four letter words, making them five letter, which might deep six the following. I clicked a LINK in search of a LINT of a HINT in my HUNT, without intending HURT to a HART or a TART, across TARN and through YARN, whether you give a DARN in me putting in a DARG, for a script in DARD for this BARD to speak in the YARD without a cue CARD.
  9. Hi Jim, Welcome to MSFN. Very nice background you have. I think you will find your thoughts on how to treat others mirrored to a great degree by many others here. The one thing that does seem to irk them, and rightfully so, is if someone doesn't try or doesn't search well enough. Anyway, nice attitude and again, welcome. DL
  10. In the homes or HUTS of NUTS, one NETS insanity and LETS others cast LOTS only to lose their POTS, which PUTS them in with the MUTS without MATS and MARS their reputation. Ten in one. Mark
  11. Dang! Talent. Sweet. DL Edit: Assassin is best. Niiiiice

  14. Hello Henry. Having read your post, I see that you have a very good grasp of English and from that I will infer that you are fairly bright. So the misspelling was there to draw someone like me out, wasn't it? Welcome to MSFN Henry. DL
  15. Welcome to MSFN Xplodzion. DL
  16. As you say, they only need a reliable definition. It doesn't matter which system they use. Once they have the definition, they can take the measurement and then convert to the system they like in 500 years. That is if they are counting in Earth years. Like the page you referred to says, it has to do with calibration (aka definition). Beyond a certain point, measurements can to be done by optics and interpreted by machine. You still have to tell the machine in what format you want the measurement displayed. DL
  17. LIME Getting in a word before NOTS3W smashes the numbers to pieces again.
  18. This thread is turning into a VICE.
  19. A 'live OS' is an OS on a CD-DVD that you can put into your computer with the HD disconnected and still run the computer. It loads what's needed onto RAM and nothing is ever written to your HD. DL
  20. Hi XD, Welcome to MSFN. DL
