Hi all, I have a laptop (OS XP SP2) and a 17" monitor. Is it possible to use the monitor displaying a different application running? like for exalmple running remote desktop connection will be displayed in the monitor while in my laptop display will be my normal desktop applications? any software available/needed?

you can backup the autocomplete from a previous pc by copying *.NK2 file C:\Documents and Settings\”User’s account”\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\*.NK2 for the registry.. no idea..

Hi, I’m supporting a small firm and I'm having trouble in setting up the security for the USB hardisk. Since the company is cost cutting.. they want to use 40GB USB hardisk to be share by 3 users (A,B & C all laptop users with admin rights) where in if user A use the USB, he wont access the the folder of B & C and same as the two users. They also want to setup a quota for each user (10GB).. OS is under win2K and AD. I know its hard when all of them have local admin rights.. but is there any other way to secure this? The other way that im thinking is zip the file with password or look for a utility where in you can put a password into a folder.. any suggestions?

For me SP2 is a ok for me.. I slepstream SP2 without any problem.. installed more than 20 pcs now and everything is working perfect..

of course.. 128 bit encryption all MAC address registered Firewall UP.. what else? but still doesnt solve my problem.. in less than 10 minutes time my laptop will be disconnected from the network.. during surfing/downloading or idle.. even test it without all the securities.. same roblem.. even newly install XP..

Hi Bi0haZarD.. I already test it using lan cable and it works fine.. All settings in both client are the same.. the only difference is that the desktop is using Wireless G and Laptop is B.. I'll try this one tonight.. Yup I always make sure my wireless network is secure.. Thanks..

Hi, Im using ADSL Linksys WAG54G (builtin router + wireless G)and I always experinced being disconnect from the internet after about 5 to 10 minutes surfing then I have to restat again the pc to be able to connect again.. no spyware or virus detected.. OS Windows XP Pro SP2 newly installed HP Pavilion zt3000 with builtin centrino b HP desktop with DLink DWL-G520 PCI wireless card -G Is there a special settings for this one.. all settings from my ADSL router is by default.. only the configuration of wireless is change.. Is there a sofware that will boost the signal or check my constant connection to the router? my ADSL router is 2days old.. Note: 5more close wireless network in my place that my system can detect.. living in 20th floor - does it affect?

Right now im using a SATA Maxtor 120 w/ 8MB and I’m quite satisfied with it... Including the 3years warranty My only comment with it is the cable.. not so flexible compare to ATA cables.. cannot bend.. hehehe
