Hi, Im using ADSL Linksys WAG54G (builtin router + wireless G)and I always experinced being disconnect from the internet after about 5 to 10 minutes surfing then I have to restat again the pc to be able to connect again..

no spyware or virus detected..

OS Windows XP Pro SP2 newly installed

HP Pavilion zt3000 with builtin centrino b

HP desktop with DLink DWL-G520 PCI wireless card -G

Is there a special settings for this one.. all settings from my ADSL router is by default.. only the configuration of wireless is change..

Is there a sofware that will boost the signal or check my constant connection to the router?

my ADSL router is 2days old..

Note: 5more close wireless network in my place that my system can detect..

living in 20th floor - does it affect?

have you tried connecting a computer straight into the router using ethernet cable too check if its a wireless problem or a router problem?

other signals shouldn't effect your connection since theres multiple channels... if the computer tied too your router doesn't get screwed up, try changing the channel in your router and on all your client computers.

if the computer tied too the router is disconnecing also, try going from the modem too the computer. if it still has problems its probably your ISP. *i'm having that problem now.. i lose internet about 5 times a day*

off topic... but try too make sure your wireless connetion is secure.. my wireless network has SSID broadcast off, WEP enabled with 128bit encryption, and MAC address filter on. so its about 95% secure.

I already test it using lan cable and it works fine.. All settings in both client are the same.. the only difference is that the desktop is using Wireless G and Laptop is B..

try changing the channel in your router and on all your client computers.

did u create a access key? or is your wireless g free access to everyone? it would be wise to create a access key so only u and who u choose can access the wireless router.

Either you have disabled your SSID broadcasting or you have checked your IEEE802.11x button in Windows XP or both... That article should help!

Try disabling the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration Service and just use the software for the wireless card that came from the manufacturer.

Sometimes WZCS and the manufacturer's software get in competition for control of the card and you end up losing your connection.

This worked for me.
