I don’t know what you do but you have something with Hard disks… http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=102990 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=103818 Again, did you use the program I linked too in previous posts? And then we have this post: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=104164 So, looks like your system is unstable...
-
That´s almost for free ...
-
Download all drivers, Backup everything including that drivers and reinstall XP. You have now 2 programs witch strange atitude so your Windows must be messed up. --- EDIT --- Martin H, Yes, moderators have to be fast
-
Is your paper size set well? Most of the time it’s set on A4 but you have Letter size cards in your country...
-
You used the cleaning tool too? Alternatively, try to reinstall the IDE/ATA drivers, could help some times too...
-
That motherboard simply doesn’t support Coppermine Cores (CU), so your kind of stuck with that. The fastest CPU that will fit would be a "Pentium II based" celeron 533. *picture shown is from a 500MHz model
-
That’s the Q6600 I presume . I know the feeling... Always we like to see pictures by the way .
-
What do you think? No it´s not legal...
-
Look at countries like China, they block for sure more then half the internet .
-
I use WinRAR to do that, missing data can’t be fixed but, you can unpack the non corrupted files.

Intel and on-chip VGA? Forget about that, it will run way slower then your ATi Radeon 9200. Get your self a older 6600GT or 7600GS or so, they should be cheap now. Do you have any link to the shop you are going to buy your new stuff from?

The number of slots filled with memory has nothing to do with their clock speed. I think you may have another issue. I have to correct you there; it has something to do with signal strength loss and interference of "neighbor signals". It has been seen on older VIA chipset based motherboards or example. No, it’s not ASUS his fault . @ ssgatbliss, You have to try out 2x 1GB, it’s hard to say if it works fine... It would help if you could give us the model number of that mobo...

Found a new review on that card, it’s made by Techgage and can be found here. They say the same thing I told you before: "DSP is not hardware-accelerated"... Other then that, it seems a good card and something to showoff with, especially the lights in the 3.5mm connectors .

quicktime alternative & windows media alternative
puntoMX replied to Harry Tuttle's topic in Software Hangout
I remember that the older versions of nLite also wanted Media player 6.4 kept in for the reasons you give us here, so I would guess you have to keep that old small Media player in. If you are unknown to nLite look at the forum, I’m sure you like it better then XPlite, and yes, I have 2XPlite licenses my self but stopped using it after nLite . -
okay, then we get a little bit technical. Try to disable IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service, go to: -> START -> RUN -> type "Services.msc" -> Look for IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service and set it to "DISABLE" -> Restart your PC. Now try again. If it doesn´t work your Windows Instalation is messed up. By the way, DigeratiPrime gave you good info on this .

Yes, coding and decoding without using to much CPU: like video cards do H.264 and MPEG2.0 .
-
For the 100US$ range there is only one DirectX 10 card; the nVidia 8600GT. I don’t know on what resolution you are running the emulator, but this card can do 1280*1024 "okay", don’t expect more from a 100US$ card . If you want to go higher and you need DirectX 10, then go directly with a 8800GTS 320MB but those are a lot more then 100US$... If directX 9 will be good enough for you, and yes, there isn’t much difference, I would take a look on specials of the 7900GT or 1950GT/PRO, those have very good price performance ratios.

Here you can find some info on DSP and Dolby Digital. Like a video card, the soundcard has software instructions and hardware instructions. Hardware in most cases is faster so it would be nice if the card has more hardware DSP functions. I remember that GPU makers were in for processing sound as well with the GPU, I don’t know how far the development is at this moment and if it’s still continuing.
-
Okay, so you use the digital line I presume... so the analog part isn’t important... I personally would buy a card that has more DSP power .
-
As far as I can read you NEVER are going to use this card and you will be better of keeping those bills in your pocket; your onboard sound will do fine for you... However, if you are going to edit, mix and play on a good amplifier with the appropriate speakers, this could be some thing nice, especially the PCI-E version so you can move it to your next system too. Why such an expensive card any way, is it because of the noise/signal ratio? (118dB claimed, not sure if that is balanced or unbalanced)...
-
I would extract the file and take what you need from it, I found a little program called DBXtract, download it here. Please, next time ask a moderator to move your topic so we will have no double posts .

Some virus scanners are known to slow down Office as they install plug-in in Office so I would try to disable the scanner, open a document, and see...
