Crap, I thought we were talking about the Live! 5.1 with the EMU10k1. The other card isn't even worth it... EAX? Forget it...
-
Why would you use the ones from Creative any way, check out the one from KXproject.
-
Indeed, you could give it a try, but mostly it's a hardware problem. I still wish that you can recover your data ngpc.

Hello Emre90, Your translator isn't helping much, but are you asking about remote desktop?
-
lol

Not for gaming... But check out the ATI HD4550, it's the bigger brother of the 4350 and it comes with DDR3 memory, it benches close to the nVidia 9500GT. It uses max. 25W so your PC will work with it as it is.
-
If you post the picture, but as far as I can see those are WD drives with a white label on it, refurbished that is.

Welcome to the forum ngpc, I see that you use a translator but we understand you except for one thing: So, you say no and you can enter the thumb drive? or you can't access it at all? Seems that your flash memory has gone bad. Normally those thumb drives are build out of 2 components: The USB controller ship that makes the bridge between the USB connector and the Flash ROM, and the flash ROM itself. In this case I think it's the flash ROM.

AMD´s older CPUs are really slow in this, even up to the AMD Athlon X2. The new ones are a lot better but still Intel seems to be faster in coding/decoding of video streams.let me see if I can get some benchmarks, I think there are some at THG. For the CPU: http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/cpu-cha...04-CPU,444.html http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/cpu-cha...Mark05,339.html For the harddisk: Half of 2004: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/storage/d...0_11.html#sect1 End of 2007: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/storage/d...p_11.html#sect0 End of 2008: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/storage/d...up_7.html#sect1 Just make your own conclusions of it, and I'm sure you will agree with us, and so the one for whom you are doing this .

It can hold a few note-/net-books/laptops, and for your other high-tech stuff look at these:

I like the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack, but it's a bit expensive, but so is Targus. Note that this is made out of Ballistic nylon... ahum, Ballistic, anything to sell your stuff .

The AMD Athlon (XP) 2000/2000+ are more than 6 year old so anything that you compare with something you can buy in the shop today would let the AMD far, but really far (even the Intel Atom), behind. Now, I would suggest leaving the computer as it is and sell it, give it away or use it "for the small kids". You could indeed expand the memory but would leave it when it's PC133 or so. That said, it's time for a fresh system. The slow, let's say 55MB/s max. read/write speed, hard disk will be no good in a modern system as an average drive will do some 100MB/s. Access times will be about the same but modern technology has a few tricks here and there to make seek times shorter. You should now look for a 250GB and above drive made by Samsung, Hitachi and WD (Seagate would have been here if they didn't mess so much up with their 7200.11 series). You still can use the relatively slow 80GB drive for the system as it will boot also from any modern motherboard but remember that any modern motherboard will not have more than one PATA port, so, if you use the PATA optical drive then you have to hook them together, and that's not advisable. Like CoffeeFiend said, a system with the AMD 780G/700 chipset would suite a lot, arm it with a Phenon with 2 or 3 cores and you have a cheap but snappy and fast system. Just be aware that you need a motherboard/BIOS that accepts AM3 CPUs. if you go with Intel, look at the equally priced G31 chipset. Although this chipset has a slower onboard video, it is stable as can be, just be aware that it only has a FSB up to 1066MT/s natively. The Southbridge isn't high-tech any more but will suite for the needs. If you go for an Intel based system I would take a look at the E5200 (800 FSB) (and up), the upcoming E6300 (1066MHz) or the E7300 (1066 FSB); all are dual cored CPUs but are based on the 45nm Core2. If you need help to pick out the parts for a budget system that will enough to use another 5 years or so, we are here to help you out .

It must be a DNS problem, there is nothing we can do about it but you could try to use a different DNS server like openDNS

Take a look here: I always get emails from MSFN and I would like to stop receiving them. How do I do that? Go to your Topic Subscriptions or your Forum Subscriptions and make sure you are not subscribed to any forum/topic anymore.

I don't know about Ghost, but Acronis true Image works perfect, just keep it as an option.
-
It's horrible, note that the CPU has almost no load there and it's not even OCed. I would say that it should be 20oC less.
-
I don't know if you use onboard Video or not, if not I would use 6GB at 667MHz and if you use onboard Video I would take 2* 2GB PC6400 / 800MT/s RAM indeed. no use for 1066MHz as the timings will go up too. next step up will be a i7/AM3 with DDR3 any way (i5 sucks with its dual channel DDR3). I would use the system with that motherboards as it is for now .

You won't find the answer here, but... I would see if vista detects it and see what model it is to download the driver for an older OS.
-
I don't know if that's a good sign, if the paste / pad under the cooler is bad the cooler stays cool too. If it's easy to check than I would place some better paste there...

RathcoM, are you running Vista or Windows 7? If so, stay with ATI and take a look at the HD4850/4870 or so.
-
I'm almost sure you have "Power Saving" set in the Power Options, or in other words, your CPU isn't working at full speed and the settings won't let it get to the full speed (EIST settings in BIOS could be also playing a role here).

You still have snow over there? It must be freezing .It all depends on your room temperature...
-
yes it does, read trough this topic here.

That's an ICH7-M combined with the 943GML:
