  1. I was leaning towards this one for a while http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814150316 But the GTX is much better and the 8800 gt is almost identical to the 9800 gt
  2. Well ill probably be selling my 3850, so ill probably have about $150 to spend on a card.
  3. Hello all, I'm looking to upgrade my video card, as my sub par 3850 is just not cutting it for me. I am looking to go NVidia, but most nvidia cards are quite expensive... Can any of you guys recommend a good Nvidia card that totally out-benchmarks the 3850? Thanks in advance for any advice!
  4. Wow, thank you so much, this is the problem indeed, and the person with the problem had the exact same motherboard as me, and the same NForce drivers. Thanks!
  5. Hey ijwcomp, I appreciate your help, and i did try what you said (numerous times before) and unfortunately the problem is still there.. More info: I am using Firefox 3, Windows Live Messenger (9), and IE 7.. The problem occurs with any version of MSN above 6.2, which i am guessing is the time they started using flash.. Any more help is extremely appreciated, thanks!
  6. Alright so i am running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, and I am still having this flash collision ever since September of last year! The problem is that whenever i am watching a video on any browser (Firefox, IE, Opera etc.) on youtube or anything that requires flash, and i get a popup from MSN (Someone messages me or someone comes online) the browser will crash. I have recently reformatted my computer, and the problem is STILL THERE!! I have essentially tried everything to fix this problem, and the only thing that helped was installing Adobe Flash Player 7, but it is very limited as many websites require an updated version of flash to view videos etc. If you need any more information on my computer specs or anything let me know Thanks for any help.
  7. Hello everybody! A really long time ago i had a steam account i used to play games on. After some time the account got lost due to not using it, but im sure its still out there! I have the original cdkey i used to activate the account, however i have no clue what the account name or email address i used to activate the account with Is there any way i can get the account back by just using the cdkey? Thanks for any help!
  8. Ok then...My mistake... Instead of writing "Yep we're all mind readers here at msfn." and making yourself look like a complete douchebag, why not just ask me "what operating system are you running?" I am running Windows XP on SP3 I'm pretty sure this isnt a matter of hardware either, so we will leave that out.
  9. Ok i forgot to mention im not a complete retard, also that my computer is freshly reformatted. As for the above post what are you referring to in my post when you say "Yep we're all mind readers here at msfn."
  10. Alright, the title really says it all, but i will explain further. Whenever i am watching a video on youtube (or any other video for that matter on a browser) and i get a pop up in msn, whether it's somebody coming online, or somebody messaging me, my browser crashes. I have tried this on many different browsers, from Firefox to Google Chrome and everything in between. I have the latest flash player (9) from adobe. I have tried this on earlier versions of MSN, and i do not get the same problem, however i don't want to resort using a really old messenger without all the cool features Windows Live Messenger has to offer. Thanks in advance for any help!
  11. Yea, im pretty sure its the drive, because this has never happened before on the same copy of windows. Anywho, I can't wait to get my new western digital (never getting maxtor again...ever). Thanks for all the help and support.
  12. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. In device manager, my hard drive is shown as "not connected", but when i do the "add hardware" tool in control panel, the hard drive is installed. Very weird, but if there is anything else i can do before i reformat/repair windows, it would be appreciated.
  13. Ok thanks, i will try this out ASAP. Thanks for your help man. I will let you know if anything has been fixed.
