  1. Are you rebooting when you import these changes into your registry?
  2. I've used this keylogger before. It will do the trick. Assuming this employee is not expecting to be caught thus they won't check the Task Manager for the process. But if all this individual is doing is surfing porn and deleting company files then I doubt they'd know what to look for in Task Manager. There are other keyloggers that will take screenshots at intervals and e-mail them to you as well, but I don't know if they are freeware. Just Google for keyloggers.
  3. Burn it to a DVD and try playing it back. Here, I did your job for you.
  4. Ah, I didn't think of that. My apologies for jumping on that.
  5. Why don't you have a network administrator and have all the PCs setup with strict user permissions on limited accounts so people can't do crap like that? if your employee is breaking policy or whatever, then it's probably time to have a 1-on-1 with them or find another employee.
  6. His request is a new one on me. When I saw his picture of the Start Menu and the word "Recent", I just assumed. I also couldn't imagine how the topic dragged on with his bad attitude when what I thought it was is a mere registry tweak. Anyway, good luck with your solution.
  7. A jump forward, eh? How many applications and games today are coded to fully support x64, I wonder... Sure the potential leap is there, but if there's nothing/very little supporting it, why so much emphasis? AMD's 64-Bit Games List
  8. Did you even look at what the registry file contains? I tested it myself before I posted it for you and it does work. It both stops entries from being added and hides "Documents" from the Start Menu altogether. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoRecentDocsMenu"=dword:00000001 "NoRecentDocsHistory"=dword:00000001 No Menu, No History. Kill two birds with one stone.
  9. Thanks, Nuhi. 'Preciate it. I wish I had of Beta tested back in the day so I would've had a free copy by now. Oh well.
  10. Then he should post in the nLite subforum.
  11. Has it had files removed or system paths modified? nLitened? Tweaked? Just direct the wizard to system32 and system32\drivers. I wouldn't do any registry changes especially when you aren't 100% sure of what you're doing.
  12. Start > Run > msconfig > Uncheck "Load Startup Items". Reboot.
  13. If you have a high-end system than that should take care of your performance. You don't need a "small" OS to play games with high-end hardware. Just make sure that when you play games that you have everything else closed. If you're going to use nLite, I'd suggest only removing Drivers and Languages, then integrate your own device drivers. That will cut your XP down by more than 50% without affecting any functionality. Cheers.
  14. Download the REG file attached, execute it and import it into your registry. Cheers. For future reference, please try Google first.
  15. Problem still occurs with latest nLite and latest RyanVM Pack.
  16. Could be a hardware issue; PSU, mobo, or the card itself. Recent driver downgrade/upgrade? Try reinstalling the drivers? Is it overheating? Do you have good cable arrangment to allow good airflow in your case? Perhaps time to use compressed air to clean out the dust? (Take it outside to do this!) What specifically do you mean by "graphics"? When does it start happening? In Windows or within a game? What kind of game? No error message at all? Be sure to check C:\WINDOWS\DirectX.log and/or the Event Viewer. (Start > Run > "eventvwr" (without quotations).
  17. No, I am busy with other things at the moment. I also have no desire to try this program. Perhaps someone else will step up to the plate.
  18. I've downloaded Norton Anti-Virus 2003 - 2007 with the intention of comparing each one to the previous. I'll have the results posted on my blog in a few days.
  19. JV16 PowerTools 2007 Beta 1 Released If you wish to receive a free license for this product, take this quote from Jouni (the developer) into consideration: "Remember: All users who give us valuable feedback, bug reports or new ideas will receive a free personal license for the specific product." The thread where bug reports for JV16 2007 are posted.
  20. I use sndvol32.exe.
  21. You run the setup, click Next several times, then either Activate your purchased copy online or over the phone. Finish setup and enjoy the product.
  22. Not if they have Windows File Protection disabled.
  23. I find this entire topic irrelevant. I don't know how someone could spend massive amounts of time going out of their way to ensure that they only have this particular version of that DLL from that update... it's a waste of time. Why are you doing it?
  24. By doing so, the burnt DVD will work on players that are compatible with: The brand of the DVD The type of DVD (-/+) The speed at which you burn at (my DVD/VCR player only accepts 8x, but my portable player accepts 16x). In my years of creating DVDs I've never seen files exist in the "Audio_TS" directory.
