    vLite BSOD

could it be something with your source? maybe a corrupt source to start with?
  2. need someone to give some suggestions for someone who is involved (& made an impact on technology/computers) hes gotta have struggled sometime throughout his career working in a crappy job, hes also gotta be someone who wont put you to sleep when researching about him lol the 2 ive thought of are, steve jobs & bill gates, but i find bill gates kinda boring & he doesnt relate to what i wanna do too much steve jobs on the other hand shares the same first name as me, but his struggles dont really relate too much to what i wanna profile

thats taken from nuhi's site, u cannot use it with windows server 2008 as far as i know but i could be wrong
  4. the red x imo is a java problem, try using internet explorer with low settings just to test it & if it works, u know its a setting in your browsers have settings
  5. mice! lol what would be the point of this? sounds neat tho
  6. found this direct link.. just downloading now myself Click to directly download from afterdawn.com
  7. i agree, nuhi is awesome! hes not just a good programmer, hes very knowledgable in other aspects of computers aswell
  8. haha the title says it all This girl Ive been "getting to know" better tells me to be quiet yesterday night when her phone rang. I was puzzled & asked why.. she tells me her "brother" was on the phone & she didnt want him to have any idea that I was there (shes 28 & lives alone) so reluctantly I was quiet.. while she was talkin to him on the phone.. her friend sitting across the room from us leans over to me & says shes married! I was flabbergasted! the 3 of us went out that night anyways & had a good time , but she says her husband (whom shes been married to for 5 yrs) is in the US army (we're both canadian) shes got a 6 yr old son(not his kid) & she doesnt wear her wedding ring ! lol tough decision to make, because I liked this girl alot (until I found this out), we have alot in common, we've often had long talks about mistakes we've made in the past & wanting to do "the right thing" now, as we're both getting older & hopefully more mature! lol funniest thing is.. hes got the same last name as I DO, just a coincidence (but she doesnt go by his last name) haha im so torn!! which head should I use to make the right decision? lol I wanna talk to her, but not sure how to bring this up.. I try not to get involved with married women, but she doesnt seem too "married" lol
  9. very well said Idontwantspam :thumbup
  10. copy the modified uxtheme.dll to your 1386 folder on your custom cd/dvd make sure to cab & modifype the file
  11. can i offer another point to this? possibly from a younger persons views (im 22, not sure of your age or your kids) but why dont u TEACH your kids about the dangers.. if by chance they went to a friends house they wouldnt have all these blocks & rules setup.. something could happen there (unless of course your kids arent allowed to goto friends) but its better to teach them than just force rules on them.. "cuz i said so" parenting doesnt help your kids understand why they cant do such things
  12. depending on your kids skill you could try the following create limited account with limited permissions for them remove all access to & from C, make their computer use another drive JUST for the programs u allow, make it write protected then u can just block websites using hosts file make the registry read only & not give them access to it
  13. I don't know about tons of space. But it helps. Many thanks. compared to deleting a visual style the space u save from deleting those is "tons"
  14. the easiest way is to download nlite & click to remove messenger, then u can download 1 of the cab files in the nlite forum & "slipstream" it into your cd i know this is not "manually" but why make more work for yourself
  15. did they give u the media(cd/dvd) for office aswell as the product key? it sounds like your saying your windows xp key isnt working to complete your office install, you need to get the valid office 2007 product key you cannot use office 2003 keys with office 2007
  16. try searching your registry & removing all traces of windows live messenger there

    nlite folder problem

hey just a tip, if your as "noob" as you say you are, you should do some reading before attempting to nlite your system (or be very cautious of removing stuff) so u dont disable anything needed by something u do in windows or an application u have. but to nlite your source, u copy the WHOLE contents of your xp disc to a folder, then point nlite to it, its fairly self explanitory after that
  18. search the unattended installation forum for all switches.. u will have to help yourself.. i doubt anyone around here wants to spoon feed you switches.. just search the forum & u will come up with switches for anything you need, this is meant for advanced users, not novices.. if you are a novice (not meaning any disrespect) you maybe further off asking a friend to do the project for you, or start reading, as it takes alot of reading to understand something new (just like anything else your learning for the first time) anyways good luck to you
  19. sounds like maybe your drive is write protected.. maybe copy the file onto your sourcedrive (usually C:\) of your PC your trying to open word documents on when u open a file in word it creates a file in that same folder as a temp file
  20. i just found this Download here I appologize if its been posted, but i just found out about it & its definatly replacing my old BSplayer! since that program is full of adware now
  21. if u choose to install to a different drive it should be fine, delete the entry in boot.ini
  22. if your refering to FolderSize u should just put your question it in the unattended installs forum, as this isnt directly related or caused by nlite
  23. the plugs kinda clip in (atleast they do on my enermax PSU) yes, i think they r pretty standard.. its actually really beneficial to have one , they r very versitile, u can add/remove unwanted connectors this is good if your into cable management
