  2. frostwire

  4. if u need someone let me know as well
  5. i chose the last one nlite is very user friendly imo novices shouldn't use it, unless your somewhat experienced & just calling yourself that to be coy anyways Johndoe74 has made the adding of software a very easy experience for a "new" user see here http://www.msfn.org/board/List-johndoe74-s...ns-t121664.html download the cab file, use nlite to select it & thats basically it , how much easier could it get

    TugZip

does anyone know how to create a totally silent SFX archive with tugzip? id rather use it than winrar , but i dunno how to create a silent sfx archive with it lol is there a plugin or something im not finding?
  7. 17% - Geek fairly accurate id say
  8. it must be hard coded in then cdrom variable must be equal to root drive + WPI thats why %cdrom%=d:\wpi\ so your only work around is to keep D:\WPI.. then u can change the next directory paths its really not THAT big of a problem, unless u r trying to make your cd look "professional" but 1 folder isnt a big deal @ all imo
  9. im not really fluent in dos commands, but i use RD /S /Q "path" to remove my files, always works without a hitch EDIT: what u can try doing is putting script.cmd in a temp directory or something? or u can add a registry entry to runonce so that next time u restart u can have the folder gone but u cant delete a folder that your file is in
  10. so just take out the 1st backslash so your code is %cdrom%setup\........ because it looks like your cdrom variable is already putting the D:\ in thus your getting that backslash + your own %cdrom%\\setup\.....

    adobe acrobat + SP3

    see here http://www.msfn.org/board/List-johndoe74-s...ns-t121664.html
  12. ya i agree, thunderbird is really good & heavily customizable, with skins, extensions & all that jazz probably safer too.
  13. I would use XP SP3 for sure depending on your knowledge of windows u may even consider tweaking & removing components in it to speed it up even more i agree with the above post.. linux is fine if you want to use it, but for a "new" user or someone not heavily knowledgeable about scripting would find it very annoying EDIT: just noticed this is my 4100th post!! lol I've been a member here for along time!
  14. the folders name is "IE7" & not "Internet Explorer" ? cuz my %programfiles%\internet explorer folder is only 3.5MB (from stock XP sp3) but if u want to remove internet explorer i think u can do it from the add remove programs IE is really heavily integrated into your windows directory aswell, i would suggest doing some google searches first i have IE7 removed, i remove it with nlite before i even install windows but what im sayin is with your windows already being installed theres a good chance your not gonna find "all" the files u want to remove how big is your "IE7" folder?
  15. Peffse maybe redownload it, or reinstall IE6?
  16. r u unable to burn the iso file properly? see here http://www.allbootdisks.com/cd_creation.html
  17. when your installing your windows (im assuming in vmware or some sort of virtual machine) r u choosing the ISO image & NOT the CD where your original XP disc is also make sure your customized winnt.SIF file is in the i386 directory this file is what controls what is displayed/inputted during your setup
  18. i think u can edit the setup file with a res hacker (i dont do it, i just use original screen) i think its in setup.ex_ you will have to expand the cab file to get to it i could be wrong tho
  19. you should have a floppy folder on your cd (for your motherboard) with sata drivers, copy it to a floppy disk & try using it ?
  20. haha!!! what a pig!
  21. download nlite
  22. I just wanna say after JUST trying this program now, its THE BEST ever! replaces winrar, aswell as replacing my ISO program is there a way to change the icons tho
  23. maybe try "^%windir^%" with quotes? maybe try double quotes? paste more of the code your using?
  24. it should just replace, ive never needed to uninstall it tho but i guess with any software installation, to have 100% stability u should always do a clean install
  25. good job Edited by MCT!
