  1. My bad! I didn't saw the current number version is different of mine. The official download link is here: http://www.killprog.com/KCinst_2_82.exe There is a russian changelog at bottom of the 'KCReadMe.txt' file, but it can be translated using http://www.google.com/translate_t. A french translation patch is available here: http://denb10.free.fr/killcopy.html
  2. From his site: Program for copy files ... it can speed up copy of large files by 2-3 times. User-frendly skin based interface. Build-in explorer shell make is very simple in use. So, for me, it does the same job, with: - low ressources-user - lot of options/settings - customizable
  3. RP9 uses very low ressources and gives a real improvement in stability to Windows. Instead, you could look at TClock: http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/tclock/index.html or TClock Light: http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/tclocklight/index.html HTH Charles.
  4. Has anyone tried to get a wireless mouse and/or keyboard working with Windows 98?
  5. Try Revolutions Pack 9.6. All work is done already, ...& in the better way!
  6. Hey folk, have a try to KillCopy 2.85. I found it better than Supercopier.
  7. I've finally bought the recent MS Comfort Mouse 4500 (wired [i didn't knew if a wireless mouse would be recognize easily], USB only, BlueTrack) and a MS Wired Keyboard 600 (USB only also). They installed and work fine, Windows has found all drivers at once. My previous drivers MS Intellipoint version 4.0 didn't recognized the mouse, that's why I uninstalled them but I was unable to get installed any newer version of MS Intellipoint or IntelliType (4 or 5). So, I don't use the additional buttons.
  8. Installed on the top of 9.6.5 version and with a system that had no crash with previous version, ...so far so good, the behaviour is identical.
  9. The Autoruns v. 9.56 or 9.57 DOES NOT FIND PATHS TO THE CERTAIN PROGRAMS wrongly claiming that files of these programs "does not exist". I also compared the results of performance of Autoruns v. 9.12 and Autoruns v. 8.73, version 9.12 displays more results (correct ones)! Thanks to confirm this .
  10. @MDGx: your link downloads version 10.02 (not 9.56). Sorry, I didn't saw your message. No, it's not my problem ...but after a few reinstall's I got them running. As I said in post #30, it seems to me that all versions after 9.12 are buggy with Windows 98, and are not giving more information.
  11. So, we've got 3 different search boxes for each page. Why so much ?
  12. I'm using the google box at the top of the forum: but there is a 2nd search box at bottom. HTH Charles.
  13. Hi frogman, I had ask the same question a few months ago: Silverlight & Windows 98SE , ...with the same great success Hopefully this time...
  14. Is any recent optical mouse recognized by Win98? Most of them are coming without driver today. For instance, my PC was featured with an old Microsoft Explorer Optical Mouse with Intellipoint 3.0 installed. Last Intellipoint drivers are not compatible with Win 9x (Not sure, but it seems that compatibility was broken after 5.0, or maybe even after version 4.12). Does those drivers needed only for additional buttons & settings, or necessary for the mouse to work? May it help something, if I buy MS stuff, Logitech or anyone else? Additionaly, is it better to use the PS/2 port or USB for such (slow) configuration?
  15. Hummm, why do you need to replace Process Explorer? This Process Viewer doesn't seems better to me.
  16. loblo, your fixed skin is working like a charm with the new Opera 10.61! Thanks again.
  17. You have to install KernelEx. It has 2 threads: the main one & KernelEx App Compatibility Database. KernelEx 4.5 beta 2 is very stable, and allows FF 3.5 KernelEx 4.5 RC1 has still a few bugs but allows FF 3.6 & 4.0 Beta 2 BTW, I use Opera 10.60 (needs KernelEx any version) for Hotmail in Windows 98SE. Previous version 10.5x run without KernelEx. HTH. Charles.
  18. It's not the scroll arrows, but the thumb itself which is not showing up. I'm not sure to understand. Do you mean the thumb in the scrollbar? The scrollbars are defectives in this theme because a few sections are lacking. You repair them by writing all the missing sections & bitmaps (including thumbs), OR simply delete the lonely section referring to the scrollbars (what I did) and you will get back the default scrollbars. They are not eye candy like a skinned scrollbar, but it works.
  19. What do you mean? Have you uninstall entirely the Revolutons Pack to get it work? They were already fine with previous release 4.5 beta 2
  20. Those patches are SFXCAB archive EXE files, which WinRAR, Winzip and other archiving utilities can NOT recognize properly. It's NOT an IEXPRESS archive EXE file like the Win9x hotfix packages. They need to be run with the /X switch on a Win2k/XP/2k3 machine to extract the files. Choose a folder where to extract the files and click OK to continue.
  21. I'll look into that. Thanks. What is the version of Maxthon that you use. What system, IE version. Was this problem introduced in RC 1 or earlier? Pentium III 500 MHz - 384 MB RAM Win 98SE french - SP3.0 beta4 - MDIE6CU 3.4 - RP 9.6.5 Maxthon 1.6.5.18 (All versions are available here: http://dl.maxthon.cn/mx1/ No need to install, you can decompress (I use Universal Extractor) and run straight.) Never had this problem before. Running just fine with KernelEx 4.5 beta2 (but no need of KernelEx to run with Win 98). I have tried with an old version (MyIE2 0.9.27), but it's the same: no glitch without RC1, incomplete shut off if a few tabs are open with RC1. BTW, Newer version 1.6.6 and 1.6.7 of Maxthon doesn't launch (I mean even before RC1) for the reason that it is giving an error: Missing exportation SHELL32.DLL: SHBindToParent. Is it possible to fix it with KernelEx ? Later EDIT: I have downgraded (after clean uninstall) to KernelEx 4.5 beta 2 with Flash Player 10.0.45.2 ActX and Plugin. Maxthon has come back smooth and fine like I always was use to .
  22. I tried the file and was not able to reproduce the cursor bug. I tried several settings but everything stayed fine. EDIT: Btw, no Compatibility tab for that exe also.
  23. Do you have a link for your Reversi, it's not a default game in Windows.
