  1. Is this [Identification] JoinWorkgroup=****** actually allowed? or have you removed it from an accepted name for display purposes? If not enter one and see what happens.
  2. @baywatch - That URL is bad. @Guillaume_fr - Also, it is done via the SET HOMEPATH option. if you open the command box and type SET then hit return. What is your homepth, and change as needed.
  3. Or use remote administrator from www.radmin.com only need 1 port opening and away you go Simple adn easy to use License need to be purchased, but are relatively cheap
  4. Yes and no issues. SP2 is safe to apply.
  5. Yes, but policy changes affect the whole PC and all users, if i remember correctly. So, be careful with that option.
  6. Or you make it using the setupmgr.exe, easy and self explanatory, file included within the supporttools, which also contains a ref.chm with some bvery good explanantions of what else you can add to winnt.sif.
  7. Are these not the same, just different versions? and if so can you not use new version for both, which will remove 2 driverpacks?
  8. Internet Explorer Administration Kit can do all that for you. Visit; http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.mspx and that will allow you to do so much more with IE.
  9. Have no idea how it works, but maybe a regshot or filemon of live data may answer your question. Progs are both available from sysinternals. One to monitor the regsu=istrty incase it has changes made and te other to see which files | processes are used. Maybe worth a gamble
  10. you could also see if you apps can use an msi instead of the .exe as this can shave of some excess mb.
  11. Or use RegShot to take a snapshot of registry, you make change, it takes 2nd snapshot of changes and tells you them. You'll also find them listed somehwere witin the registry tweaks topic
  12. No. You can use PartPE to do that for you though, i believe and i'll be corrected if i'm wrong. You'll need to look around as not used it to do
  13. Look in the Application Switches area and search. It is noted on a number of topics. You use the SN=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx string on end of the .exe file as a basic
  14. It is in there and is possibly OEAccess=off is added to [components] section of winnt.sif You can only remove visibly of it using standard UA method. If you use nlite, i believe you can remove any reference and all files relating to it as well.
  15. Can you not run filemon from sysinternals and it will let you know which files are applied and possibly changed after you try and pply your settings taht are being overwritten.
  16. Creating the .iss file is done by the way you say. If your rebooting your PC after the install, it will get removed during that and hence you cannot find it. Before the Reboot, if it is needed, do a search in the Windows directory and it will be there, and copy it to a safe location. Then to run the program just place thisin the folder with the exe and replace the existing setup.iss file and use the -s switch and it will read that for info to be used.so it would look like "<driveletter>:\<pathname>:\dreamweaver.exe -s"
  17. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=40838 Try this for an easy way of applying all hotfixes from a CD or HD
  18. I placed in the Default User area, so any created user has them including the Admin when build is completed. Easier to manage and see what is actually their.
  19. Have a gander at http://unattended.msfn.org Will probably have your answer, if not it is here on this site
  20. Do you not need a params.NetBEUI & params.MS_NWIPX - Not hot tweaking those bits mind. Other than that winnt seems fine to me after quick look over. As tweaks.reg isn't applied till later, can't see that benig the issue.
  21. But if they haven't been modified or have they? then that wouldn't be the issue. Can you try, Have you tried the original if they have changed? Will look and see though.

    KB888111

/integrate does install the hotfix before the drivers. It's applied on the install of XPSP2 at the beginning before you apply the drivers or any tweaks so using that should be fine.
  23. I would do usual, Go back to basics. Only create basics, like integrate SP2 & Hotfixes and then add, things like Reg Tweak Maker, apps etc Does your ISO get created without errors? Does it get burnt without errors? Or are you doing in Virtual/VMWare? Reading other peoples woes, it seems to vanish when doing on ilive system so errors in testing on virtual.
  24. WSUS (SUS) will only work if they networked together. He mentioned that they are all standalone. Somebody on here did create a method that all can be placed onto a CD and thatrun. It would identify if an update had been installed or not and install if needed. When get home will try and find link and add here as e-mailed home but not emptied work outbox other week.
  25. RIS is mentioned in quite a view area on this site. It is also mentioned in the MS Resource Kit for 2k & 2k3. I'd go RIS as well, free works and is easy to manage.
