You must have the wrong iso file. Just wait, maybe someone have a solution

Now this script /PERFORMINSTALL /NORUN is working with version 1.8 only for the first install. If you want to update it won't work. you have to rename the file downloaded from utorrent website to utorrent.exe and move it to %ProgramFiles%\uTorrent folder.

Can you not try to test it in vmware? I would but computer kind of busy integrating 36 language packs atm. Much profit! I can not because my vista is 32 bit. doesn't work in virtual pc but soon..

I really don't know. I have removed all drivers in vlite. i added 3 for ethernet, wifi, ati. I use kaspersky internet security 7. As you said i can confirm that my LED or light for hard drive is always ON during startup. I don't use any spyware, firewall third application. List of my sofware: VS2008, Office 2007, Tune Up, CCleaner, Firefox, Logmein, Messenger, Vista Codec Package, Winrar, EyeBeam, Virtual Clone Drive, Flashget, Adobe acrobat, Skype

There will be always a risk depending on what you remove

Maybe they are not WHQL. for some, you can fix that by using bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS command

It's always what I do. I remove all the default drivers and then I add mine. It's your choice to add a driver pack but it's better to add only the drivers needed

Starting vlite with -extreme switch allow to view some hidden components like 'Windows update - .net Framework...' They are highlight in red. Don't think Extreme is a part or tab.

One more thing. Is it safe to remove the Layout.ini, all *.bin, all *.trx and all *.db files in the Prefetch folder ?

I removed mobility center in vlite maybe I need it to use the Fn+F5 key allowing to switch. I don't know for sure
