You'll get an error Yea I made a new image and left in winsxs and Wu seems to work and install updates fine. However now my installed image is twice as large! So your saying that even if you manually download the updates they still wont install if WU is removed, right? right, You won't be able to install update and hotfix because it remove the update support.

If you're aware to download your update manually and integrate them with vlite you can do so. But if not according to what it is said soon or later you 'll have error if you remove winsxs. I'll suggest you to keep it if you don't install often

But it's dividing the install of the same program into two different places. Do you get to choose each of them? Will every installer know to ask both where do you want the 32bit copy of the program to go and also where do you want the 64bit copy of the program to go? Because I'm going to want to set both of those up into my own file structure and not use either "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)". Yes you can install your software on another drive if you want... you have the choice.

hi, Just like that i wanted to see information about a contact of mine and i wasn't able to do it. after a little thought i think this is due to windows mail. I remove it or maybe something else. I don't have neither the windows contact link in start menu. As you can see my contacts are not recognized and the bar on the top display 'Organize & View' instead of contact items. there is also my preset file vista_sp1.ini

Did you use vlite ? if yes did you remove Photo Metadata Handler?

x64 versions of windows still run 32 bit apps, including viruses. I would still suggest the use of an antivirus application - not running all the time, mind you, but scanning your machine every few days, just in case. Ok ok, that's all i wanted to read! thank

First, i thought it was some king of bandwith overloaded but during one week i noticed that each time it's 2am my donwload speed increase from 25-50k to 800K-1M. I made some speedtest and my connection is fine, it give me 5700k on download and 750k on upload for my pack of 7M i took with Bell.
