  4. To deploy Visual Studio 2008 in unattended mode, you must create the unattend file for the Visual Studio 2008 installation. You must create a unique .INI unattend file for each target operation system. For example, unattend file created for Windows XP would not be usable for Windows 2003 and vise versa. To do this, follow these steps: Step 1: Create Visual Studio unattended .ini file Insert the Visual Studio 2008 DVD and ignore the autorun message. From the Start menu, choose Run. Type the following: <DVD-ROM drive>:\setup\Setup.exe /createunattend <path to VS2008 INI-file> D:\setup\setup.exe /createunattend c:\VS2008_deployment.ini On the Options page, select the features intended to be deployed, and then click Save Settings Step 2: Create MSDN Studio unattended .ini file From Run. Type the following: <DVD-ROM drive>:\msdn\setup\Setup.exe /createunattend <path to MSDN INI-file> D:\msdn\setup\setup.exe /createunattend c:\MSDN2008_deployment.ini On the Options page, select the features intended to be deployed, and then click Save Settings Run Unattended Setup Step 1: Run unattended Visual Studio setup on a client machine Verify that Visual Studio 2008 is available on the network. From Run. Type the following: \\<servername>\VS2008\Setup\setup.exe /unattendfile <path to VS2008 INI-file> \\server\VS2008\Setup\setup.exe /unattendfile \\server\VS2008\VS2008_deployment.ini Step 2: Run unattended MSDN Library setup on a client machine (Optional) From Run. Type the following: \\<servername>\VS2008\msdn\Setup\setup.exe /unattendfile <path to MSDN INI-file> \\server\VS2008\msdn\Setup\setup.exe /unattendfile \\server\VS2008\MSDN2008_deployment.ini
  5. A little guide http://blogs.msdn.com/vijaysk/archive/2008...desktop-os.aspx
  6. You can enable it in theme option
  7. If i well understood, no you can't do that. it's not possible anymore to disable the welcome screen to have the little prompt console for authentification
  8. I have to say that it's so hard to wait

    Also bluetooth drivers
  10. LOL! I just found out. Navigate to the Registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \Internet Settings \ZoneMap \Domains and right-click the key Domains. Select Export from the menu and save it to your hard drive
  11. I have a list of restricted site in IE that I want to export to other computer. Where are they located in registry ? so like that i'll export them.
  12. It always depend on what you want to keep or remove. there is no profile in vlite, but there is a panel for compatibilty
  13. Understood, yeah i have at least windows defender running

It will be good to add more tweak parameter like : 1. Visual effect (system properties>advanced>in performance tab) if possible, i never success to modify it correctly in registry 2. Possibility to import reg or bat file 3. Possibility to disable system restore (in case i keep the service for compatibilty) 4. Remove annoying start menu folder (Like Extra and Upgrades) 5. ....
  15. Hi, i'm on vista x64. I'm using kaspersky 8. The fact that i'm on x64 make more secure right ? In which case i do really need to use an antivirus. I mean for surfin on the net, ...
  16. But if you don't use Parental Control nothing happens, i mean, there is no increase in resource usage if you don't have it activated. yeah of course, but i just wanted to do it
  17. I think Kaspersky is the better one
  18. what a shame! but i understand. i hope it will be back
  19. an other one http://www.tipandtrick.net/2008/64-bit-x64...ctions-allowed/
  20. Nope vlite cannot do that. Like said above you can do it using a batch file that will change the value in registry. I'd say it's better to do this manually than with in vlite. Everytime i install windows i change my personal shell folders using a reg file. You can also do that with WAIK from microsoft.
  21. You're missing something. It cannot work for some people and doesn't work for you.
  22. Is there an rss feed for this forum and for each categories ? Like this I can see when someone add a topic or a reply...from my desktop.
  23. I made a test using the default windows defragmenter and OO defrag. and I can say that the default windows defragmenter is good, it just don't have an interface but it does his job well. To make sure of that i launch oo defrag after and the result was the same. OO defrag don't find any files fragmented after the windows defragmenter
  24. Good job! I'm waiting to make some tests
  25. don't know! make a test in vpc and this time don't run the auto script to install your drivers. do it in device manager and locate the inf file. I got same problem some time when i run the silent install bat for drivers or add the inf file in vlite for your nic & wlan card
