  2. do you know a car manufacturer that sells cars like microsoft sells windows? this is the most used operating system in the world for home/office use(desktop) so most chances you will see the bugs faster then you see a bug in mitsubishi:)

  5. just for the record if people here dont know this even Dell/HP.... had their numbers blacklisted computers bought from dell for example(came preinstalled with xp(no sp),with dell license and customizations) were blacklisted for sp1(ofcourse same thing in sp2) so be advised even if you buy from vendors that are known could be your are blacklisted

  7. i did redownload and i saw this bug nevermind i extracted with gui:) one question while we are talking does the oempnp... line have some kind of limit? i mean with lan/storage and sound this lines becomes very long can it contain 3 or more lines in winnt.sif or is it amust to be one liner thanks
  8. is there alimit to OemPnPDriversPath?????????? i mean can i add 4 lines to it cause with all drivers packs its avery long line to put in one line if acouple of lines can be placed its easier no? is it even possible?

  12. while i am waiting:) patiently:) i thought of one thing maybe someone can give me definite answer if i add sata driver,and i compress it and add it to txtsetup.sif(so it will load) why do i have to have it in oempnp..... i mean the driver has been uncompressed loaded and started already maybe we only need sound/vga and other things that we dont need in boot time over there? just a thought anyway back to waiting patiently for lan pack:)

  14. bardugu command lines to run at the end of setup or as ms says it: "you can add commands that will be automaticly run at the end of unattended setup" "any command that does not require you to be logged on..."
  15. had this thing amoth ago with hitachi 250gb went and replaced it and got anew one try to connect it alone with nothing other (cd/dvd/disk) using power supply and see if that helps check cables check bios if this doesnt help its dead
  16. hi guys anybody know how to get erd 2003 into the unattended using runonce or just abatch file so it will add itself to the bootmenu of xp as a recovery solution(like recovery console but way better) any idea would be welcome thanks

  18. boot from cd into recovery console and change boot.ini remove the "NoExecute=OptIn" [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn hope this will help you probably some program writing to xp memory and xp detects that and denies

  24. anybody incountered this? after slipstreaming sp2 to my i386 on setup i get ntfs.sys corrupted i tried extracting again and runing slipstream again no use maybe the package is corrupted i guess my file version of ntfs.sys is: 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) size 562k any idea would be welcome thanks
  25. better to split it lets say 20-30gb and rest as d:\ and this is why you could use acronis true image or other software to capture c:\ partition and if you have problems(driver corruption or some kind of update can ruin something) just restore the image file to c:\ after you backed up your files to d:\ i also redirect my documents to D:\ r even e:\ so only thing i have to do is backup its content and im fixed
