  1. Apperantly you removed to much from your nLite unattended installation source. You should ask your question on the nLite section of this forum and include your latest settings with your post.
  2. Not going to work, you'll need third party applications and scripting to get the result which you're after.
  3. The CAB-file which you would like to add to your unattended installation is probably a nLite add-on, am I right? It would be easier if you would just extract the CAB-file and have a look at the contents yourself and then create your own selfextracting, silent installer package, which you can have installed at SVCPACK.INF.
  4. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 needs version 3.0 to be installed. If you launch the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installer and version 3.0 is not present, it will be installed first. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 requires version 2.0 however, so if Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 is installed and version 2.0 is not present, it will be installed first. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 thus contains the latest version of version 3.0 and version 2.0. Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not included in version 3.5, so if you run any applications which require version 1.1, you will need to install it separately still. So in short, if you want all versions of Microsoft .NET Framework installed, you will need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and 3.5. I hope this clears things up. As for the language question, I'm afraid that I can't be of service as I only use English language installations.
  5. To be honest, I don't even have a clue where you get to see this screen in regards to WMI...
  6. Simply apply any tweaks which you find missing yourself then If you want more control over your unattended project, I suggest using HFSLIP instead of nLite.
  7. Be honest, you didn't bother looking yourself, now did you? Click here for the answer though.
  8. All add-ons are meant for nLite, so yes, they'll all install silently.
  9. Rip the boot image from your original installation CD-ROM and use that for your own CD-ROM. You can use BBIE.EXE for example.
  10. I believe that you should post these questions in the nLite topic.
  11. I don't quite understand the purpose of your posting...?
  12. First and most important of all this is a silent installer, whereas the normal installer isn't. By heart I believe that Shark007 also added some plugins, but you could check yourself.
  13. See the reply above. I don't know this specific application, but anyway, most applications can be installed at T13 via SVCPACK.INF for example. You could use a network monitor to make sure, but if you're this concerned, why would you even bother using this application and why wouldn't you simply download all updates manually yourself from the Microsoft web site? You're paranoid. There are many ways if you don't configure your machine properly, if you don't install the required updates, if you don't install the appropriate software such as an anti-virus solution, et cetera. In other words, if you're the fault in your setup, your machine is unsafe. Actually, I don't believe that you're not paranoid, I believe that you're simply unaware and unknowing. No offense. It seems to me like you've been indoctrinated by the media.
  14. No, the final version has not been released yet, the topic starter has most likely used a release candidate version of SP3 which he most likely downloaded illegally.
  15. Click here.
  16. Might very well be that your source is missing files or contains altered files and that you'll need a normal installation CD-ROM to use as a source.
  17. The game can't recognize if a jackplug is plugged in or not, so it's strange that the game would work if you plug in your speakers into the microphone port, as the two have nothing to do with each other. To me it sounds like your sound card drivers need updating or are corrupted. Reinstall those for a start. Once reinstalled, if it still doesn't work, you can try to reinstall the game. Make sure that your sound card is properly configured in your operating system as well as in your game. Kill all applications which are running while you're playing the game, as one of the other applications might try to use your sound card; just to make sure.
  18. Can't be of much service I'm afraid as I don't use nLite myself, but does it work without any of the add ons? If so, try adding add ons one by one to which one is the culprit.
  19. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 requires version 3. Version 3 requires version 2. The 3.5 installer therefore includes both Microsoft .NET Framework 2 and 3. Microsoft .NET Framework 1 is not required by either version 2, 3 and 3.5 and is therefore not included in the 3.5 installer. If you use software which requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1, you will therefore need to install it seperately as well. In short, if you want to include all versions of Microsoft .NET Framework, you'll have to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1 and version 3.5. If you want to include Microsoft .NET Framework in your unattended installation, download RogueSpear's switchless silent installers. You can install both Microsoft .NET Framework 1 and 2 via SVCPACK.INF, so that you can install all software which requires either via SVCPACK.INF as well. You can finally install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (including version 3) via RunOnceEx.
  20. I honestly have no idea what you're on about. What does this have to do with nLite first of all? Second, default there is no icon in the system tray to switch keyboards, so this seems to be third party software not related to nLite or your operating system. Perhaps you're talking about the Language Bar, but I could be wrong. If this is what you mean, you can enable it again via your Control Panel, Regional Settings, second page, Details, Language Bar. If this is not what you meant, please clarify your post and place it in the right section of the forum.
  21. I personally don't believe it's worth it. Yes, this tooltip problem can be annoying, but having to install an application which then runs in the background constantly to have this fixed is worthless in my humble opinion. How often does this tooltip problem irritate you, that's the question you should ask yourself. If it's a big problem for you, which bothers you daily, then use this application to solve this annoyance. If you're only bothered by it occasionally, like myself, don't install it as it's a waste of hard disk space and resources, even if it's this small and lightweight. But this is all just my opinion of course.
  22. Cursors can be found in your WINDOWS\Cursors folder. You can add your own cursors there. Use an application such as Regshot to make a snapshot of your registry. In your mouse properties, select the new cursors which you would like to use. Once done, make another snapshot with Regshot and compare both snapshots. Save the registry changes which apply to your new cursors to a REG-file. If you want to use variables, which is advisory, adjust the paths in your REG-file accordingly. During unattended install you can now either copy over the cursors using $OEM$ folders and import the REG-file, or you can make a switchless silent installation package which copies the cursors and which imports the REG-file. I prefer this last method, as you can use the installer to simply install these cursors on other machines as well. Good luck.
  23. More about Altiris and Radia.
