  1. Delete those and re-detect new hardware.
  2. Do your machine's USB 2.0 (or 3.x set to 2.0 compatibility mode) show in device manager with an yellow bang?
  3. Yes, there is. They're included in windows.
  4. This is 100% legal. But as far as seeing it on github/bitbucket/*, don't hold your breath. WildBill has posted the full sources of his re-creation of Win 2k kernel32, together with the compiled executable. He did it alone, didn't ask for any help and freely gave his results to the comunity. What else do you want? A pole-dance?
  5. Cats, when motivated, are much more effective at destroying homework, though, as you surely know...
  6. There's no such thing as Abandonware. And WAREZ is not allowed here.
  7. Can you please post a screeshot highlighting it, for us all to know exactly what to look for, visually?
  8. Sure. But there's a wonderful invention named "post". It moves things around the world for you, without your having to go along them. Have you ever heard about that?
  9. x64 != IA-64
  10. Your mouse works with 100s (= 1.6 min) delay, but all the rest, kbd and pendrives work OK, or does everything have a 1.6 min latency? And which mouse exactly (model and manufacturer) is your mouse?
  11. No. And it'd be against Rule #1, in case there were.
  12. Do that and the Intel ports will start working as USB 2.0, look around the BIOS and you'll sure find out how/where.
  13. Well, I do know how you feel. It happened to me once, too, when I was hoarding my 10 genuine boxes of XP x86-ENU FPP. It happens! However, a pop-and-mom neighborhood computer store is safer than eBay or Mercado Livre (a big South American competitor of eBay) inasmuch as one gets to physically inspect in person the actual item one is considering to buy, before doing so. For this type of item, pics are way lacking as a way for inspection.
  14. Just for the record: I bought a true Windows 7 Ultimate FPP in the original box, complete but opened and having geographic Activation Restrictions, at a small neighborhood computer service store last month. I've then installed the MSDN x86-ENU 7 ultimate SP1u image on a new machine and then activated it using the FPP license I had just bought, straight from the card, and it just activated! No telephone call to MS was even needed! Yay!
  15. Welcome to MSFN, Samuka! What do you say I get your username changed to Samuka, instead of Skulltrail, for a start? Happy new year and do enjoy your vacations!
  16. Great! That's half the problem solved! Now, do get yourself a MS Wireless Mobile Mouse (or even a corded MS Basic Mouse), for us to have a truly standard mouse to troubleshoot the other half, while using a proven standard and reliable hardware, please.
  17. Probably it'll activate just one pair of USB connectors, not all of them. RTFM to find out which ones.
  18. If you comment out or delete the line referring to the .cat in the .inf, then the driver ought to install.
  19. Well, one may fight just so many wars at the same time... so, for the record, I've decommissioned all of my 5, otherwise perfectly working, Athlon XP Barton machines, because of their non-SSE2 nature. And that led me to give up on 9x/ME, too, after so long. I decided to concentrate on running XP till the end of time, because I clearly don't have the energy or the patience for keeping the fight on three fronts, and I see 9x/ME as an already lost and non-SSE2 as a loosing game. This is my opinion only, it applies to my own case only, and YMMV, of course, but I thought I might as well say it here, just for the record, for those who hadn't guessed it yet.
  20. Welcome to the fold, liquidLD!
  21. C20400 == RET 0004... the routine ends here. One shouldn't need to transfer the CCs, too.
  22. A very happy New Year for y'all, folks!
