  1. I got a message saying missing "wer.dll" and "faultrep.dll"and used this method to get it back and fixed the problem! Could play Inkball again need help just post below EDIT: This can only be used if you get a missing file error! just simply get the file you need, thats all!
  2. i use a router so i can remove DHCP and use static ip address ive gotten rid of kerberos, works fine macine debugger defo agree and should be removed if not then dsiabled P.S i dont think you can remove cryptographic services using nlite
  3. cryptographic is used when installing stuff like Internet Explorer 7, so i normally select manual for it
  4. try http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010380.asp or windows update catalog, in the drivers section
  5. i can still use updates with it disabled, WU needs BITS, Automatic Updates, and event log
  6. If you use static IP's then "DHCP Client" is safe to remove and windows firewall still works machine debug manager can be removed safely its also safe to disable "Cryptographic Services" with no problems either
  7. yep save to remove all of those with no problems this info was taken into conseridation with the above info, still safe to remove dont remove Net Logon, causes alot of problems. the rest are safe though
  8. @ W Widmer thx for the extra info but he has managed to solve the problem, the drivers downloaded from his motherboards website didnt work so he had to replace an inf file with a modified version to get it to work. The working AHCI drivers for his board are hard to find but got there in the end, he was also considering upgrading to Vista if the problem still appeared anyways. Thanks anyways, much appreciated
  9. ok, ive updated the guide, thx for the info
  10. glad it worked , updated the guide with the extra info you provided
  11. if u select the list option it should be under printers then
  12. np glad it worked can u please leave a message on my guide saying u got it worked plz , where did u put the HP folder from the wim file n did u try automatic? incase, someone is wondering where my guide is, its here...
  13. in nLite when you create an image or burn directly to disk, it automatically make it bootable, works same as the floppy disk method but well with a CD/DVD lol. you just have to tell your computer to boot from CD instead of floppy disk. In Nero, use "Nero Express" and select the bottom option (something like saved image or whatever) and search for the iso you want to burn hope thats answered what you asked
  14. i always integrate IE7 seperatly, then reopen nLite and do whatever i need to do, works great for me
  15. i thought that came on the vista disk
  16. you can export settings on nLite there is a preset menu, at the bottom i think, click export and it will ask you what to name it. this will save anything you have selected in that session
  17. If all your computers are 32bit and drivers integrated (from all 3) are 32bit, then there should be no problems. If you add 64bit drivers to a 32bit or 32bit drivers into x64 then there will be problems Yep, i think.. i use VMWare Server. Its on the Virtual CD-ROM Drive Properties in VMWare. maybe shld i re-burn? wasted 1 CD already will do it on a DVD RW next... Best to use VMWare You will get missing drivers during copying stage, unless you remove the correct entries from the inf file, cant remember which inf it is though
  18. ermm CD\I386\NLDRV or something like that, you should see folders like 001 - ??? (depend on how many are integrated) there the drivers you have integrated. unused drivers just use hard drive space and dont slow down the pc, but yes it will slow down the copying part of the installation(after formatting), needs confirming. .CHM - Remove Help & Support EDIT: I normally remove all drivers using nLite and just add all the ones my computer will need .ie sound, graphics n if i had a printer then the drivers for that printer. Just enough drivers that there are no "Unknown" Drivers when installation has finished
  19. what do u mean? anyways SSD's are alot more expesnive than normal HDD i still have a good amount of functionality, like halo 2, aero,etc... as i said above i just wanted a challenge, BIOS overclocking can go along way (for advanced users though), the stuff i ordered on the day i sorted everything out was some more fans and a higher voltage PSU, this meant i could overclock it alot more. SDD disk speeding things up alot too (read info on the web if you unsure what SSD are), i also stated above that i got rid of some programs like "SQL server, web server, ftp server, mail server" which was mentioned in my first post. Edit: before i did all this stuff my footprint was around 300-320MB, on my other computer (1GBRAM, AMD 3000+, 256MB Graphics Card, standard comp really) its around 350MB
  20. did you enable burning on the "tasks" page, normally i would just reopen vlite and just create the ISO on its own
