  1. Its Vista SP1 16659 on its own for manual install or integration. When you say the post-install manual install do you mean the '0x8007007e' error? I always keep Windows Firewall and it still giving me the error, so has to be something else. P.S. Who is Phil? lol
  2. When you say "registry db", do you mean a program that will apply the tweaks or just a list of tweaks (like a website). If your planning on creating a program then get "Visual Studio 2005" and that comes with VB, C#, C++, and some others (i use VB). You can download an evaluation (90-180 Days) of Visual Studio from microsoft website.
  3. i just got it too. The best thing we can do is attach our presets (last_session.ini) and then the members where the sp1 did install for them to upload their presets to so we can easily narrow it down to what the problem is...
  4. it says ricktendo64 is in group "Banned Members" so i think he has been banned lol. Why would someone want recycle bin on start menu?
  5. Hey, excellent work... Do you mind if i use this for my program ("LegoTweaker")? It was originally made for nlite tweaks incase someone forgot to apply them with nlite but i now add requested tweaks too. I will add your name in the "Help" > "About" > "Special Thanks To:" section so you are credited Thanks in advance. 6. nope, can you upload your preset please (last_session.ini)
  7. Think i found it now How do you slipstream it? I've extracted the .exe and got the.cab files but vlite never seems to integrate it, also fails to integrate 2 other cabs. After vlite stills says its 6.0.6000.16386. Do i need a clean source as mine has languages n Windows Indexing removed and 61 updates added?
  8. the problem will hopefully be fixed or some note added in the next version, so this program will not be needed anymore lol. alot of people think 200mb footprint is very good, so what footprint would you need for you to install it (150MB?)
  9. ive done that (adding the two files) the files did stay but i did get the occasional wer.dll missing message on some apps but compatibility tab still worked.
  10. where is it?, i cant find it lol edit: found it
  11. 3.0 has 2.0 in it and its also newer, try looking in task manager (ctrl+alt+del, lol) and check if there is anything in there that shouldnt be but dunno how that would help. Do you have a nlite preset of the installation you are currently using?
  12. what happens when you try and install .NET 3.0 or 3.5 and "Internet Explorer 7, Windows Media Player 11, Java 1.6.0 Update 2...". in other words describe the "haywire" i.e. crash, hang, erro message. etc... Liam
  13. EDIT: Looks like you'll have to reinstall Vista but keep Application Experience and Error Reporting
  14. like 20-40 mins, got the x86 vista files needed anyways EDIT: do you see "Program Compatiblity Assistance" or something like that in services?
  15. hmm might have an idea, come back abit later lol, or you can check if %SystemRoot%\system32\aelupsvc.dl exists which will save alot of time
  16. Andrea ADI Filters Service (AEADIFilters) never heard of it and i dont have it, since application experience is not present in services, that maybe your problem and yep its ok to copy the preset here or jsut attach it
  17. yep the preset is the list of everything you removed, did, etc... it might be on the vista disk you burned (last_session.ini) try the new version... because before you had to close and re-open the program (as it scanned for the files when it opened) in services(start > run > services.msc) check for.... "Application Experience"
  18. do you have a preset for when you used vlite? you can try going to "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\" and right click on BF2 itself to see if it appears, i dont think compatibility shows on all shortcuts. you can also try to delete/replace wer.dll in the system32 folder and then use either my program to copy it or copy it yourself from the x86 folder, its worked for everyone else so it might be just a case of removing something accidently using vlite. EDIT: Just released a newer version, some things have been changed, possibly some fixes (i say probably because it was done ages ago just didnt upload it), and some more options i.e. help you manually copy the files, remove current files, and so on. Liam
  19. Yeah i had this problem.. i think it has been fixed in the next version
  20. this is the wrong place to ask for a product key....
  21. 2-5 don't have a clue but must be needed for something, you can still disable netlogon in services.msc and everything will still work fine. Must of removed a needed file... 1. Odd, normally works for me
  22. your welcome , any other questions? lol
  23. anything which is dual or quadcore is 64bit, you need to get the 64bit drivers from the manufacturers website, and i run alot of 32bit apps on my computer (its 64bit). but yes intel are 64bit too and not just AMD, also the Q6600 is 64bit
  24. 1. Its impossible to emaulate 64bit windows if WMWare is on 32bit 2.You can boot from a 64bit vista disk and if your CPU isnt compatible with it, it will say something like "You cannot install 64bit on this computer" or something like that. So its safe to try if it doesnt give you an error message then you can safely install 64bit on your computer 3. As i use 64bit i have noticed a difference and would never go back to 32bit, but thats just me and all computers are different depending on what you use them for
