  1. *Drools* Alienware... For the sake of it, I'm going to reformat again (As SmartFTP wasn't the problem for some reason). Load the DEFAULT, original Windows XP (First Release) and install SP2 + my drivers... Nothing else... Then load the programs that are failing, see what happens...They'll probably say "Need Framework". So, I'll install Framework and see what happens from there...
  2. I've tried with and without the preset... However, I've compiled my own log, which I state below: In between the installations I double clicked the nLite icon to see if it crashed... As you can see, after SmartFTP it stopped working... I'm guessing it's SmartFTP, however now when I uninstalled it, it's left something in the registry, so I'm going to reformat again... If it's not SmartFTP, then it has to be one of the programs in the sequence ABOVE it:
  3. First off, should I get 3.0? Could it be that 2.0 is outdated and doesn't support nLite/vLite? About half way through the install, it's an offline installer (no internet connection needed) it just stops and gives me this: Another windows pops up, it says the normal "Blah Blah has encountered an error and needs to close. Send error report?" I click to see the Error Log and I get: I select a place, anywhere and I get this: But the setup is the only thing using the file, to move it I need the setup, to close the setup, I can't move it and it gets removed from the temp directory... This is why I hate microsoft...
  4. I'm not sure what you think of bumping here, as it's not in the Rules. The general rule is 24 hours, well, it's been 24 hours, 75 views and 0 replies? Doesn't anyone have an opinion? I can't continue any of my work without this working... Could it be a .NET Framework issue? I'm using 2.0 as 3.0 and the 3.5 beta wont install... (Should I use the 2.0 SP2 if it will work? - Will it make a difference?)
  5. Hey peeps, I've been playing around a lot making MultiBoot CD's and customized versions of Windows XP and Vista. And quite happy with myself also, All has been going great, however... One happy day, I closed nLite, all was fine (no errors) then when I went to open again I got: This also happens to vLite. AND, installers for me have gone haywire. Such as, Internet Explorer 7, Windows Media Player 11, Java 1.6.0 Update 2... To name a few... I have scanner for viruses, I have done restarts...I HAVE REFORMATTED! What the heck is going on here? No, my version of windows is not 'legal' - It's TinyXP... However, my 'legal' version (dual boot) does it aswell... No virus, anywhere, AND AFTER A REFORMAT?! I have tried re-downloading them...
  6. Hey people... This is a nLite caused problem, but I've posted here because it's about this program: Windows Live Mail Desktop - Beta Something I've removed in nLite for my XP has caused this program to not install... I get no errors just a "This program could not be installed"... Geez, thanx for being specific Windows Live! Any ideas as to what it is? It is something I've removed, because it works on my 'stock' XP on my other computer... - Morsolo
  7. Ah ha! Thank you, I've found the 'Last Session.ini' and 'Tweaks.reg' I'll get over to comparing the i386... How do you find the RunOnce and SVC updates?
  8. Hello lovely people! I was recently looking at TinyXP, which I am currently running (Wont say much, is Warez, I know)... I noticed it was lacking a few features I needed, so after some searching, I am yet to find anything... Is there a .ini or some kind of file that can get nLite to automatically select the options TinyXP had, so I can edit them to my liking? I know eXperience released some somewhere, but their main forums are down... Again, I don't want to say much, so, hopefully I've said enough... Any ideas? - Morsolo
  9. Hello! I didn't want to say "Hello" in the title, as it's so, un-original Anyway, I suppose the best place to start on a site is in the introduction area, so here I am... You may have seen me around other sites, as I'm a member on almost every worthwhile board on the internet *Adds MSFN to the list* I am a person who will ask any question, however stupid or bizarre it may be. I enjoy helping people to my fullest ability when I can. I am a extremely fast power user on computer and I know my way around, however, I do ask lots of questions, as I said... Some, no... ALL of my interests are computer orientated. I'm not bad with PhotoShop and I can program small things, such as batch files (If they really count) and JavaScript. I play lots of computer games, mostly "Counter Strike Source" and "World of Warcraft". I am also a proud PlayStation 3 owner, only 1 game though More towards how I got here: I came here due to my recent discovery of nLite, I've known about that little marvel for quite some time, only now I've come to realize it's full potential. This seems to be the most helpful forums when it comes to nLite, so I hope to make a new home here I'm a model citizen when it comes to forums, I never break the rules (nor read them ) as I said, I'm a member of a lot of sites, some of which I either own or help run... I don't want a bad reputation now, do I? Anyway, enough of dribble... HI! - Morsolo
