  1. Remove their admin rights to the machine. And any good app will get its time from the server not the client. To watch when the time is changed enable auditing on the local security policy of use of user rights. Jim

  3. Sounds like MSDN software to me. I dont think that you are technically allowed to use this on a production server, could be wrong though.

  6. VMware can PXE boot. VMware can use a floppy image. Google "floppy image" is your friend.
  7. Write a script to clean it up then. But I would not remove those folders. Your asking for problems if you do, and how much space do they take up anyway?
  8. Ok basically it boils down to this. Shutdown current PDC. Promote a BDC to PDC. Ensure replication. Upgrade OS to Windows Server 2003. Ensure functionality. Upgrade the rest of the BDC's to Windows 2003 DC's Sell Old PDC on Ebay.

  10. Its depends alot on the firewall. The easiest way is just to NAT all traffic going out, and BAM messenger.
  11. I agree that would more than likely be a REALLY bad thing. I would honestly be surprised if you could log in after the install is complete.
  12. Also, if you really want to understand what is going on, use VMware to set up a virtual lab so you can configure the servers and actually do the work instead of just reading about it.

    This beta of Vista seems to just be kinda crappy to me. There will be alot of hardware that wont work because it is beta.
