  1. I am trying to create a new silent install for Firefox 1.5 using the firefox CCK from the Mozilla website, it says zip.exe must be in the path. The question I have is has anyone gotten an install of Firefox to work doing this and if so, where is zip.exe obtained from?
  2. Its not RIS but you can use VMware to test your builds.
  3. Why not just share the internet connection by plugging both PCs into the router? Sounds like you are making things harder then they have to be.
  4. DHCP message traffic is very small and checking in every 12hrs on a gigabit network with that small number of clients will not present an issue. If it were 1000s of clients yes it could be a problem but with 5 it is no big deal.
  5. I think they get integrated into the install, but something doesnt go right. I see the name of the driver during textmode, but when it tries to detect a drive it cant.
  6. I am trying to integrate the drivers for an Silicon Image 3114 SATA RAID controller for Windows XP x64. I have tried using nlite to do this but it does not work. When I use the F6 method the drive is detected and able to be installed on. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Jim
  7. It is using %CDROM% as V:\$OEM$\$1\install\WPI because you are telling it to in this line: set wpipath=%cdrom%\$OEM$\$1\install\WPI
  8. Why not just install Exchange 2000? It doesnt make sense to install 5.5 first if you dont have to. Just before running the Exchange 2000 install for the first time make sure you run setup /forestprep and setup /domainprep.
  9. Simple answer is, you must be a domain admin to readd the machine to the domain.
  10. use the built in windows scheduler service to run the shutdown.exe command.
  11. Build a terminal server and have all users run programs from that?
  12. It is best to assign logon scripts using group policies under Windows 2000+. That is the location it looks for the logon scripts in first.
