  1. I think these switches are what you need: D:\I386\WINNT32.exe /tempdrive:C:\ /unattend:D:\I386\winnt.sif They can be used via a batch file, however.
  2. Well! Here's how we can, REALLY, slipstream our Favorites in IE installation. Slipstreamed Favorites will install for the current and every added user, afterwards. The steps: 1. Take a copy of the file "install.in_" from your XP CD. (.\i386\install.in_) 2. Rename it to install.cab, then extract with WinRAR, WinZip, or whatever. 3. Open the extracted file "install.ins" in NotePad. 4. You'll find two templates for your Favorites. is for putting your links in ..\Favorites\Links [FavoritesEx] is for putting your links in ..\Favorites Personally, I use the second template! 5. Edit the contents to your liking, save, re-compress with MakeCab, then replce the orignal file. This is my install.ins! It shows some of my Favorites. 3. @Wesmosis I think ACDSee.reg, in the first post, performs some of your tweaks. However, and as said by other posters, configure ACDSee to your liking, then Look at: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ACD Systems\ACDSee\70] Export and maintain that key, eliminating those values whose contents are absolute paths like C:\\Progr....etc and date stamps...etc Also, for those who might face the problem of ACDSee demanding Activation on the first use, although they weren't connected to the Internet; please apply your "ACDSee.reg" after Explorer shell is fully loaded. This can be done via "HKLM\....\Run" that can be deleted afterwards.
  4. You're welcome. Still, there's another way using your encrypted serial from the registry (via a reg file) along with /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress as above. Still, pharao2k's script is helpful, too.
  5. Adobe Audition 1.5 1- Run your EXE. 2- Stop at the first setup screen. - Go to Start --> Run. Type %TEMP%. Hit Enter. - In your Temp directory, you find a folder named like _is5F or whatever. - Inside _is5F, there's "Adobe Audition 1.5.msi"! - Copy your MSI from %TEMP%\_is5F\Adobe Audition 1.5.msi to your XPCD: X:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Install\Audition\Audition.msi (renamed) Your batch:
  6. @ Chris Sorry to hear bad news about you. I hope you will be OK and recover soon. Please, do not answer back now. All the best. mazin
  7. Also, you can use USSF!
  8. You can search your registry via: Edit --> Find menu by typing the name of your screen saver. Hit F3 on your keyboard till you find it.
  9. Thank you, too, crahak. I confess: I'm now polite, DADs, and I'll use that reg file.
  10. For me, long URLs like http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=80 work well via that reg file. Short URLs like http://www.msfn.org work well via WINNT.SIF!
  11. Thank you both for confirmation. One of my bad habits is that I read much before doing new things on my PC. I've read about 5 or 6 topics and found a complaint about reg is machine specific! So, I decided not to continue complaining like others did! B) And, I found it safe to use a script. But since there are now two confirmations, I must surrender ! I'll use a reg next installation. Thanks.
  12. Both, reg and WINNT.SIF, methods work. Guaranteed! But, I prefer WINNT.SIF method.
  13. I don't know if registration is machine specific. So, that script is safe whatever the case is.
  14. Issues to be fixed: 1 == Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.01 string is wrong. 2 == These keys: REG ADD %KEY%\050 /VE /D "IrfanView 3.91 with Plugins" /f REG ADD %KEY%\050 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\iview391\iview391.exe /silent /desktop=0 /group=1 /allusers=0 /assoc=1 /f REG ADD %KEY%\050 /V 2 /D "%CDROM%\Software\iview391\IrfanView-all_plugins.exe /silent" /f should be: 3 == Also, Winamp string has to be fixed. 4 == This line: REG DELETE=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v WinampAgent /f should be: REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v WinampAgent /f 5 == This key: REG ADD %KEY%\045 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\NetFramework\netfx.msi" /f Should be: REG ADD %KEY%\045 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\NetFramework\netfx.msi /qb" /f Also, it's said many times on several threads that NET Framework can't be installed from a CD if the MSI is used. SFX it! 6 == Is this a cracked copy of WinRAR? REG ADD %KEY%\030 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\WinRar 3.40\WinRAR.v3.40.B1_Cracked.exe /s /W" /f It, also, needs fixing because of spacing in its path!
  15. @fatalwoomera I've sent you one. Check your email.
  16. Here's how I installed and registered UltraISO 7.2.5 Build 923 Media Edition. Put the following files in this directory: X:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Install\UISO7ME\ 1- UISO7ME.exe (renamed installer) 2- UISO7ME.js
  17. It has SpeedUp feature built in. Have a look at the Optional folder and you'll know why it's faster.
  18. I just found this page on betanews. This is a direct download link. (18.86 MB) I downloaded and installed it. It's faster than older versions. It extracts its files here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Setup Files\RdrBig\ENU I hope you enjoy it.
  19. It's been covered before. SEARCH!
  20. I used SETUP.ISS generated by version 4.22 and installed it the same way. These are the steps: 1- Install the program manually. Enter your registration data. Open your registry Editor and export this key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BreakPoint License Manager] "Hex Workshop (..... your ... encrypted ... key ... 2- Extract your original installer (hw32v423.exe) using WinRAR. Rename the extracted folder from hw32v423 to HWS423. Move HWS423 to your XPCD: X:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Install\HWS423 and put SETUP.ISS and HWS.reg inside the same folder. The desktop shortcut is actually created lately. So, move the del command to a later line. I hope it helps. The exact same idea was posted here by me, too: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=16321
  21. NOKIA 6600 ROCKSSSSSSS!
  22. CalcPlus has three files only: 1- C:\WINDOWS\Help\calcplus.chm 2- C:\Program Files\Microsoft Calculator Plus\CalcPlus.exe 3- C:\Program Files\Microsoft Calculator Plus\EULA.txt Suffice to copy them the way you like. No need for installation routines. Some discussion on CalcPlus continued, here, if you like to read them.
  23. I think you need to read these: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31268 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=30915
  24. @Radimus Do you mean that the MSI is deleted when your "Install" folder is deleted? If so, I can suggest you put CalcPlus.msi in this directory then install it from there: X:\XPCD\$OEM$\$$\Installer\CalcPlus.msi %systemroot%\Installer\CalcPlus.msi /qb I hope it works.
  25. This is quite satisfactory for me in WINNT.SIF under WinXP-Pro-SP2: [Shell] DefaultStartPanelOff=Yes DefaultThemesOff = Yes
