Shark, thanks for making a Dutch version. Take good care of your health! Does the quoted sentence mean I can integrate it with RVMi or nLite, just by adding the exe-file? It means that the installer doesn't default to unattended. it does use MSI switches, example; ar9lite_xxx.exe /qb would install it unattendedly. shark

This is a HUGE project to maintain on my own. In fact, I'm stepping aside . . . Therefore I'm posting a tutorial for those with some MSI editting skills to be able to keep up releases of thier own language(s). I have prepared 15 new releases of 9.0 which I will make available soon, BUT in the future I'd like to see others posting thier own work, in this thread for others to use. Current available languages pending release in LITE versions: chs cht dan esp ita nld nor ptb suo sve kor Also, i will be updating all previously posted lite 9.0 versions to enable form filling. No ETA for these releases is avaiable. I will try to have them ready early next week, this isnt a promise. Having access to highspeed internet is rare for me and ultimately the reason these releases will take some time to get out. shark

The error is caused by having previously installed the FULL version.Please keep in mind the purpose of these installers. UNATTENDED MEDIA. They are not designed for desktop use. They are not designed to deal with previous installations (even though it was uninstalled) The error only occurs if you had previously installed the full version. If you wish to avoid the error, you could try repackaging and renaming the contained msi from ar.msi to AcroRead.msi but this is not tested. shark

1st of all, thanks for the download URL. When requesting an application modification, it sure is nice to have a URL to the source. I'm sorry it took so long to get this update done, my health is poor. Getting out and enjoying the outdoors (canoeing, hiking) whenever I can takes president lately. v11.0.0.465 is available on my repository. yes you can install it AFTER the Pro installation to have it handle reading PDF documents. The installer is still Adobe's, I only modified it to reduce the unwanted bloat it installa. shark

the file is protected from direct hot linking . . . you must go to my repository, http://shark.msfn.org , and download it from there. shark

thanks for testing this, and providing the information. The user whom initially brought form filling to my attention also tested that api and stated it didnt work. bottom line .... if adding that api corrects the issue as you state, I will re-release all 9.0 versions with the fix intact. I have not had time to test any of this . . . pending shark

This has previously been brought to my attention. the plugin AcroForm.api does not control this. I have not had time to look into it. pending . . . ar9lite_eng.exe /qn but you will still see the files being extracted from the 7zip installer if completely invisible is your goal it will have to be repackaged using a different 7z module. shark

*poof* there you go, i magically created brand new unreleased version of adobe reader. cross your fingers, spin 3 times in an anti-clockise direction while saying... there's no place like home .. 3 times now take these mythical versions and enjoy them... shark

I don't know if the transforms can be applied to 64bit version. If they do, i can make those builds.Maybe Shark007 can tell us if they can. elajua, thanks for getting this out there. I havent tested your release, but seems OK from peoples reaction to the release. The transforms can be applied to x64 versions as well as future releases of iTunes. UNTESTED (all of my releases were done from scratch) someday, dont hold your breath, my health isnt the best, when I have the time, I will send you a personal tutorial to edit these iTunes msi's from scratch. shark

Since I dont foresee having highspeed internet access soon I have created transform files for others to use and apply and even distribute thier results. These transform files CANNOT be successfully applied using orca. Installshield is required. The person who is able to successfully apply the transforms file and redistribute the results to the satisfaction of users can also take over these releases in the future. full.mst english.mst

I'll look into this. No promises it'll change. Most users never read that log. (I don't). They doubleclick a PDF and if it opens, they read it. ALL update features are removed. Having a software package call home occassionally just to 'check for an update' is not welcomed on any of the computers I maintain. You will have to do it manually or install the full version. The update features I removed are more than just a few files/plugins.shark

I have uploaded REVISED 9.0 Editions for the 4 available languges. The only change in the revised editions is the removal of AcroRd32Info.exe thanks swgreed for bringing this information to my attention. shark

any Lite versions I have released since this information was brought forward have AcroRd32Info.exe removed. (hebrew and chinese chs) The 4 version 9 releases I have made to date will be re-released with this file removed. pending . . . shark

to answer the inquiry... codecs and WMP11 All the codecs in the world wont get your multimedia functioning properly in WMP11. The days of klite borking your system drove people to other players with builtin codecs as suggested above. I was one of them. I have been personally developing a codec package for WMP11 for the last 2 1/2 yrs right here on the msfn forums. With almost 2 million readers of the development thread, this package has some good ole msfn knowledge behind it. to quote the homepage When dealing with codecs, more does not equal better.
