I think you need to switch on simple file sharing: Open My Computer Click on Tools Click on Folder Options Select View tab Scroll down the list and click to enable Simple file sharing. Do this on both machines. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Hi guys....... first up my PS skills are not that good!!! I am doing a website for a company that needs a silohette to be in flames.... easy me thinks.... search google and hey presto I will find what I need.... pay a few £££s or $$$s and I will have what I need..... Well I got bugger all!!!!! So I thought "I know find a tutorial and follow that", I did but they did not look like they did on the website...... Now for my request: Does anyone know of a decent plugin that will produce me a flame effect? Like I say I dont mind paying to get the plugin..... I am just outta of ideas! Thanks in advance for any advice.

I built a computer (xp3200+, MSI KT600 MB, 160gb SATA, 512mb DDR pc3200) for a mate, who uses AOL 9.0 on XP PRO, while he was using it surfing the net, it laughed at him with this really deep laughing noise, now I read somewhere on here once that it was associated with AIM, but cannot seem to find the post. Is this true? if so how can I stop it? or am I going mad?? All responses gratefully received......

Do you have MAC address filtering setup on your network?? if so have you added the new MAC address of your NIC??

Did'nt know how to put the title...... What is the maximum partition size that can be done on a ide hd using FAT32 and NTFS, someone I know has a 200gb HD he formatted it and reports 128gb...... just wondered if the file system made any difference? or could it be the OS? Any comments?

Cant you click on the link to open the PDF?? and the save it? As I tried to explain, the link is of the type ***.php?id_init=12345. normally - clicking will read the ID and search for it in the server, then open the appropiate file (pdf in this case) in my case - clicking on the link downloads the PHP file. I can't download the PDF file cause I don't know it's name (I can;t even see it anywhere) it's represented by ID=12345 Sorry my mis-understanding.

I have a belkin router with 54g and with 4 ethernet ports and a built in ADSL modem, IMO they are a good solid piece of kit and has never let me down, and is REAL easy to set-up. When entering the WEP codes, did you use ASCII or did you enter the hexdecimal digits? I recently had a problem on my son's PC, where if I entered the WEP code in ASCII it would see the network but not actually connect (no ip address assigned), I got the hexdecimal codes from the router and typed them into the NIC/software and it connected. This was using a WUSB11 by linksys.

Sounds like a mobo problem to me......

I had this problem when I used to re-boot my PC, I thought it was software but I removed a fireware card from my machine (I never used it..... ) and afterwards it rebooted with no problem, so I put it back in and got the same again........ so put it down to that. It has been permanantly removed and have no issue at all. So have you added any new cards recently??? Dont know if that will help you or not, but that was my experience. cheers......... mine installation is XP pro...... edit....

I used one where I used to work and the RSA tag worked when it was connected to the network and it was also required when it was not connected..... (Laptop).sorry I cannot be more specific than that as I don't have any technical experience with them.
