  1. 1 - I'm just telling the truth , you're welcome ! I was born in the seventies . Had a tough life . Just a small part from my childhood , perhaps you would want to read a couple of sentences. Yeah , I know , this may look like I'm a retard . xD https://msfn.org/board/topic/182193-the-msfn-café-a-penny-for-your-thoughts/page/41/#comment-1220504 2 - No , everything is fine , I like clever people ! And it's a great honour : a real Frisian talks to me.

  2. Thanks a lot! And, I really meant what I said. But, I think you are much younger than me! Actually, I thought of deleting nature, polluting seas and rivers, or more generally, waters, the negative, human influences on the global climate, the extinction of many species, and so on. Simply said, the destroying of our beloved planet Earth. GMO (Genetically modified organism) is another point. Of course, there are pros, but a lot of cons, too! BTW, unfortunately, sometimes, I feel a bit like a docent here. Sorry for that! That's not how it's supposed to be and that's not how it was meant.

  4. As of now , neither . In the past , let's say a year ago - 13.5 was the clear winner . Now both are obsolete with many "modern" websites. MSFN and Twitter should still work though. EDIT : It was fun while it lasted. Thanks to everyone in this project , goodbye.

  5. Yeah, good to be able to relate to others online when sometimes in real life people are (very) unapproachable - on that note, have to go out to the dollar store and 15 minutes. Ugh ...

  6. Well ... actually, I didn't put "Polite" in the thread title, but being polite and respectful should be assumed as such. Treat others as you'd prefer to be treated (back) in return; or that's how I've been brought up to understand, but, seems, people lack common courtesy nowadays. Being out in public is rough .. hard to explain

  7. No, please read my linked post again. I never said I was dissatisfied with MSFN's moderation. And my post was talking about forum moderation with all moderators generally, not just Dave-H only moderating the forum BTW. I see.

  8. Yes, fake food will eventually kill us and feeding animals the wrong foods ... very bad road to go down, but as you say, there are pros and we are overpopulated.

  9. Well, other people teach you English too, so, why not me as well? I know English very well. Yes, I do. No, I never said your English is that bad!

  10. In my own Book Of Life, Frisians are like Gods , so I don't doubt you and your words , even for a second ! There is a small detail though . You wouldn't want to teach that theories at any Western military academy or even at schools or kindergartens. They create a false feeling of closure with the obvious enemy . Also , they are very much in line with the modern leftist agenda , well already not so modern , actually. This is from a simple point of view where we just need to survive . Tell me , how many Frisians are left on planet ? And now compare to the enemies' population . Yes , I read and I'm very glad we are on the same page regarding 5C.

  11. To be kind is the best way to communicate with others. Unfortunately, there is also the opposite and that belongs here just as much as what this topic implies. Sorry to say that! But, it is the truth! And unfortunately, there are creatures on this planet where kindness will get you nowhere.

  13. Yeah , of course , the next time some unhinged russkie zombie is going to kill me , I'll make sure to say : "dear sir, please stop for a while , I need to explain to you that there are "evolutionary theories" saying we are supposed to be from the same species" . Well , my European brothers , good luck to you with such views and policies. Even addressing that zombie as sir is as idiotic as it could get @D.Draker! I am mathematician and natural scienctist. I believe nothing. The theory of evolution is nothing to believe. There are facts. If you want to, have a look in this simple, popular scientific article about "Early human migrations": https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_human_migrations Evolution doesn't mean that all changes and developments are good or bad. I definitely know what you think about a special part of the human population. And, as I already said, I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, there were some misguided developments in the past centuries. Did you read 5C? You see, we share the same opinion. But I cannot agree with you about evolution itself. Please, do not confuse the two! Anyway, if I were younger and had a similar education to yours (and maybe, some more muscles ), I would come along and show my support for our views, even though I am actually a Pacifist. Humans have interfered very much with evolutionary processes over the last centuries, unfortunately in a rather negative way. In this case, however, I hope that the intervention is massive and that we can correct this aberration, ultimately.

  15. Let me say this again , your English is outstanding !

  17. This is no way to talk to a Frisian like you do . You're expected to be kind and polite . If you think he made a mistake , there was a reason for that ! He could've just been tired or , like he said - poor eyesight due to the age.

  18. Maybe you have misunderstood something! What made you think you had to teach me English? Did you read all my posts and articles? Do you think my English is that bad? Misspelling caused by worsening of the eyesight is a job for an optician. Anyway, have a good night! I am tired, and my bed is calling me.
    1 point
  19. And I thanked you for that, did you forget that? If so, then once again But, I hope you know that these misspellings were caused by the fact that my eyes have become worse, and my computer glasses don't work for me anymore. I am totally aware of the grammatical difference between "provide" and "provided", of course! So, what's your problem?

  21. Good thing nobody (should actually be no-one ... hahaha) is keeping track of my awful typing ... seeing my primary language is Gibberish Well that's no shock I'm enjoying very much to see others chatting and such a value everyone that is posting ... wouldn't it nice if people could have sensible discussions in real life. Good to read all postings here. I've been reading.

  22. That's right! But what I meant by mentioning @VistaLover and @Dave-H was their deeper explanations in special grammatical constellations and their detailed examples of the correct use. Think of my little "either" problem! Now, it is history. And, @VistaLover's remarks are always more detailed than any others here in this forum. And @Dave-H, he is a native English speaker, and that speaks for itself.

  23. Pyramids of Giza built thanks to a disappeared branch of the Nile !.. https://newsrnd.com/tech/2022-08-30-pyramids-of-giza-built-thanks-to-a-disappeared-branch-of-the-nile.BJGQOioiJj.html The three majestic pyramids of the necropolis of Giza, Cheops, Chefren and Menkaure, located on the western outskirts of Cairo, in Egypt, were built thanks to a now disappeared branch of the Nile river, which allowed the transport of the necessary materials: thanks to granules of ancient pollen, it was in fact possible to trace the variations in the water levels of this stretch for over 8,000 years of Egyptian dynastic history, discovering that at the time of the construction of the pyramids, between 2686 and 2160 BC, the watercourse was still navigable. The discovery, published in the journal of the US National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), is the result of the work of a group of researchers led by the European Center for Research and Teaching of Environmental Geosciences (Cerege), in France. The researchers, led by Hader Sheisha, examined the pollen grains present in soil cores extracted from the current alluvial plain that once housed the branch of the Nile: in this way they reconstructed the type of vegetation present at the time, which reveals the raising and lowering of the waters that occurred over time. The data obtained reveal that the water level increased a lot during the so-called African Wet Period (Ahp), between about 14,800 and 5,500 years ago, which saw the replacement of much of the Sahara desert territory with grasses, trees and lakes and it was caused by changes in the Earth's orbit around the sun. Subsequently, the disappeared arm of the Nile reduced again, but remained navigable for some time, thus allowing the transport of goods and making it possible to build the pyramids of Giza. According to the authors of the study, the discovery opens an important window on the environmental conditions that favored the construction of the pharaonic monuments considered one of the wonders of the ancient world.

  26. Gotta say, I have to agree with this statement. Whenever any bad/wrong thing happens (literally anything against MSFN rules), the moderators immediately take actions against them, but they go easy by the following: editing the posts, deleting the posts, warning the user [yes, a warning to a user is more merciful than a ban/suspension]. (depending on the rule they broke, and how important it is to follow) Certainly, no one wants to break forum rules. PS: this is not a post to complain about moderators' actions. this is just saying how good is the moderation here in MSFN! (unlike the moderation in other forums I am in)

  27. To cheer you up (and the others!) , I'd start with some crazy stuff we did in our childhood...but I kinda still don't think it was that crazy, lol. Youngsters, do NOT repeat! 1st lvl - Jumping off the roof (approx. 5-6 meters) into coal at 6-7 y.o., with some serious damage from time to time. Why ? No logic in this , definitely. Oh , and that's just level 1 of our innocent child insanity. 2nd lvl - At some point we decided to kill Robin Hood (yes, he was the souce of evil in our point of view) from the famous British TV series (1984) and started to hunt each other with self made crossbows . Yes , real crossbows. The grown-ups couldn't do anything 'cause we were still "children" , lol. 3rd lvl - Later (5-6th grade or so) started fighting on chains with upper graders. Yes, it was fighting 'till the end , I was cornered once with a very small group of my classmates, it's not scary when you read , but beleive me , it was . I thought the end is near. Yet we managed to somehow escape and took revenge later. Why did we do it ? I don't exactly remember , but it gave a good adrenaline boost , perhaps that's what mattered at that time ? I'm starting to remember ... think it was ... they wanted to date our girls from our class or so ... oh, and there was one dude from another country in their class . 4th lvl - But of course we played the gestapo and other popular games from the 80's. 5th lvl - Our new foe, the bloody druid from Warlock 1989 arrived to the party pretty late, we already started to grow up and our interests pretty much switched to parties and girls ... oh that damn annoying druid , may he rest in pieces !!! 6th lvl - To be continued ? ... P.S. Riding a bicycle with a crossbow was a huge fun. DO NOT REPEAT , it's VERY DANGEROUS and could be against laws in your country/region. What's the point of me telling this ? What I mean one could always find a hobby to distract from his grim reality. Dear moderators , if you believe it's too much for the youngsters to process , please delete or put censorship to this. I encourage the members to tell us about their fun childhood too )))).
