  1. Wow! Then in just 3 days they've pushed some pretty significant changes. One of which is "[ie/youtube] Replace ios with tv_simply in default clients (#14123)", which is a real pity, because I prefer the ios HLS formats. They've now flagged these formats as requiring a PO token, which (as far as I can tell) isn't true, because the 2025.08.20.232911 version I was using still works just fine for these formats. Now I have to snatch a PO token for these to work.

  4. For my Py3.9 build on XP no version of PyInstaller after 5.13.2 works. So, I do: python -m pip install -U "setuptools>=71.0.2,<81" pip wheel pip install -U pyinstaller==5.13.2 -r requirements.txt Where `requirements.txt` is: mutagen pycryptodomex brotli; implementation_name=='cpython' certifi requests>=2.32.2,<3 urllib3>=1.26.17,<3 websockets>=13.0 O, that is the debug (--verbose) mode of yt-dlp itself.

  5. @Dave-H Fine. I've added my HTTPSProxy's config.ini so you can use that or compare it to yours. https://www.mediafire.com/file/6emtdvx2vmw4iz8/HTTPSProxy_-_config.ini/file

  6. @Dave-H Of course there are differences. HTTPSProxy ran from the very first I tried to access MU without any problems. Configuring was very easy. ProxHTTPSProxy didn't run from the very first. I had a lot of trials to get it work. Configuring wasn't easy. I had certificate problems too. In HTTPSProxy the certificate management is much easier. Beyond that HTTPSProxy is more user-friendly compared to ProxHTTPSProxy and can be accessed in SysTray at any time incl. switching on and off. By the way did you try my attached ProxHTTPSProxy's config, ini in this post? For me it is working smoothly.

  7. @Dave-H And if you still have problems to access MU you could give HTTPSProxy a try. You can install both on your machine they are portable but do not run both at same time i.e. they may not be executed in RAM at the same time otherwise they interfere. I don't know if I am allowed to upload HTTPSProxy due to the fact that @Thomas S. hasn't been here for a long time and he is the author. What do you think?

  9. @maile3241 If there is no such file then it doesn't matter. Copy patched file in both folders and well done! Restart computer and check whether both files are still there. And then

  10. @maile3241 I don't know what you are doing. I told you a lot of posts above you have to copy sfc_os.dll to another partition or folder. Windows may not have access to your file. Do not patch this file in folder system32 or system32\dllcache! Then copy your patched file first to system32\dllcache and then to system32.If it is blocked do it using linux or WinPE.

  11. Golden words , like . The only minor thing left , explain it to many others on here , that use yandex [!] , yes living in United Kingdom , for example , and yet using yandex . As for me , I just block tons of china-russia IPs with firewall. The same goes to google, yahoo , etc.

  12. I still have somewhere a windows-98 compatible Fujitsu motherboard from around 2006 and it was affected by this famous capacitor plague . Capacitor made by OST went bad (bulging, leaking) , blue coloured to be precise , near the RAM slots . I had to replace it with Philips capacitor Made in Holland , from the 1980s and it worked just fine.
