  1. @feodor2 When calling up the internal site chrome://browser/content/preferences/siteDataSettings.xul in Mypal 68.14.4b directly, the list of all cookies is not up to date in most cases. Only when you call up the about:preferences page beforehand, you get a current list of all cookies. Actually that can't be the intention. Right? So, is this a bug or really by design? When calling up the internal site chrome://browser/content/preferences/siteDataSettings.xul directly after browser restart, it is empty, broken and non-functional.

  2. I have spent the last few days testing Mypal 68.14.4b with heavy and resource-hungry websites and have come to the conclusion that old, heavily modified profiles with many extensions, userscripts and CSS stylesheets installed do not work well with sites such as eBay, Amazon or Discord. With a new, fresh profile, in which only the most necessary settings are made, these sites run much better.

  3. I can't confirm your statement. VORAPIS V3 works perfectly on my very old Windows XP computer. I simply installed it without any special settings. Very, very fast and responsive frontend, resource-friendly and fully functional video playback. Have a look at here: https://msfn.org/board/topic/183657-mypal-68-in-windows-xp-custom-buttons-and-extensions/?do=findComment&comment=1273034

  4. The modern YouTube interface is simply crap. uBlock Origin is usually not the causer for any problems with YouTube , rather the opposite is the case. To watch videos on YouTube in old browsers (and despite all the improvements, Mypal 68 is still an old browser), one has to use extensions and/or userscripts to make them work. This and some already discussed measures are the reason why YouTube runs well again for me in Mypal 68.14.4b, even on my ancient computer from 2000.

  5. It may fail to start due to the broken dependencies. Did you disable any other services?

  6. To me (it seems) you're a very rare guest in NY. They will think you're a bum, if you have no decent car, and by decent I mean decent-decent. Why won't you just agree with D.Draker, at least this once, and live happily everafter.

  7. Perhaps you confused him with me, being born not far from each other in the seventies, I'm still not married, and not going to, I was on the verge of the most stupid decison I could ever make (marriage), in 1996-97, but somehow changed my mind and avoided it. Later it went completely off the trend. Imagine, I'd have an old wife and old children now! It's so cool to live dedicated to yourself.

  8. I guess he just (maybe) doesn't know - one simply can't compare the states, where it's necessary to have a car, with W. Europe, where one can live without it. Municipal transport is non existent in the U.S., from what I know. Or is of low quality and has bums in it. On the other hand, I know nothing about his country, zero, except they were (are?) friends with russia and located in the East. I only recently (with the help of jaclaz) forced myself to remember it's not Hungary. Yes, no offence, when I was at school/academy, no such countries existed on the map. I have tendencies to erase info I use very rarely, so maybe I'll forget again.

  9. @NotHereToPlayGames talks about the mental illness those poor persons have, if someone tied it to the politics just to make money, it's still on-topic. In fact, they absolutely don't care about them. Though, I agree with you, we need to respect the forum rules, and he shouldn't have mentiioned politians directly. On the other hand, if not such people, who don't obey the rules, you would have nothing to post about.

  10. If you go to https://github.com/xiaoxiaoflood/firefox-scripts/commits/master/, there's a <> button near each commit entry - Browse repository at this point. For easier browsing, you can filter by time period, there's a calendar in the upper-right corner.

  11. Surely this is unsolvable? GTA Online works fine but this popping up can be annoying.

  12. That's devastating. Next time this happens, please try to see if DebugView shows any output when thumbnails are not invoked.

  13. You can take a VHS and copy it to DVD. That doesn't make it hi-def.

  14. Most probably nobody will bother to test their ports for Windows XP without SP, without SP fully updated, with SP1, with SP1 fully updated, with SP2, with SP2 fully updated, with SP3, with SP3 fully updated and with SP3 + all POSReady updates, fully updated. Tests under SP3 are logically the most likely.

  15. Just to make sure it's not linked to the V3, simply add this command line startup flag. --enable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Availability No quotes, commas, spaces, exclamation marks, mysterious signs or ancient runes needed. Space needed only if you have more than one flags. (between the flags)

  16. The six security vendors are referring to the "Chrome 115" from this chromium M115, which is the topic here!

  19. I just wonder why they chose America, and didn't go to Russia? Russia's not only much-much closer, it's also (by the description from several members) such a pleasant, nice country, no racism, peaceful, very peaceful. Salaries are very high, beautiful women wearing only Western-made clothes/makeup and botox is only of the highest quality. Not a single russian car on their streets, in fact, not a single russia-made anything, and Kaspersly is free for every citizen.

  20. Agree with this part. This nightmare is also here. The lobby is very strong worldwide. "...who have doubts about their gender identity and may be considering sex change surgery". https://www.alliancevita.org/en/2021/12/gender-french-senate-adopts-controversial-bill-on-sex-change/ Huge, huge amounts of money in this industry.

  21. No , like I said mine are not working . The only working games is where mono has a lower version from 2017 . I even tried to place your files in the folder with mono-2.0-bdwgc.dll. You said mono is .NET, will installing .NET 4.6 solve the problem ? I really don't wanna try in vain because I remember my last experience with 4.6.1 wasn't good, half of the programs went nuts , esp. video players. Edit : Oh , and I even have one game with new mono which shows the same error , like chromium 72 : "This application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b).Click OK to terminate." Others show plain and simple "can't load mono".

  22. Yes, you're right , indeed. Though Vista's device manager says only ksthunk.sys and nvhda64v.sys are being used for HD audio. In my previous posts I wrote about not being able to play any HD audiotracks using Vista SP2 (bypass thru HDMI) , it allows bypass for DTS / DD5.1 only. Weird , right ?

  23. Compared W7 to Vista HD drivers , W7 has more ot them (6 to be precise). drmk.sys (DRM related ?) ksthunk.sys nvhda64v.sys portcls.sys nvhdagenco6420103.dll nvhdap64.dll Ans Vista has only two: ksthunk.sys nvhda64v.sys

  24. Hi , so if it's not much changed , it makes no sense to replace it, right ? I'm just afraid of replacing Vista's files , because the sound might get worse overall . One of the reasons I reject all later windows - awful sound quality . Could this be DRM related ? Yet again , the same problem exists in XP (only DTS stereo avaible). What I did today : I've found an updated SP2 ISO (to December 2015). Should be much newer than Win7 RTM 2009 , right ? )) So I installed it ... and guess what - all the same ! Then I took a long breath and installed it on my friend's similar hardware , same too. Then I added "playback devices/supported formats" , registry entries from W7 , now it lets me choose DTS-HD and TrueHD , then I installed PowerDVD and it also lets me choose "HD uncompressed audio" in it's settings , but as soon as I start to play DTS-HD file , it reverts to ordinary bypass setting, I mean DTS (not HD). So one can safely assume : it has nothing to do with updates and/or "playback devices/supported formats" settings , it's a much deeper problem, perhaps Vista isn't capable of playing HD audio at all ,which I find strange. I also find a bit strange that no info could be found ... Edit: Also, not a hardware problem (definitely)

  25. Hello , I've been observing this topic for quite some time. First of all , I really admire your work , it's fantastic ! Some may not believe , but I'm still running UNpatched Vista x64 SP2 and haven't had any issues. The only update I have is DX11 for gaming. And yes , there's still a good number of Vista users. May I ask, if you have the modded files for virgin SP2 . I just wanted to try to launch some games that require missing APIs. Perhaps if someone will kindly give me the patched ISO , I'll also try to test , but for now the vanilla SP2 files are enough for me. Thank you !! P.S. Wanted to ask/suggest . Any plans to make something like zernel35 , like they did for XP ? Messing with system files isn't for everyone (I guess). I've managed to launch some unsupported programmes just by adding/hooking new DLL's in their folders, sadly I lack advanced programming skills , like you. About Haswell , there are no errors if running x86 , none at all !
