  1. Tab Utilities Phoenix 2.1.2 seems to have been interfering with the native session manager in New Moon 28 for some time. The current session is no longer restored correctly after (re)starting the browser. When disabling Tab Utilities Phoenix, the native session restore function seems to work again as before. Can anyone confirm this?

  2. I was looking for QT5 dll files to maybe make some software XP compatible. In several places it is told that QT5 v5.6.3 is the last properly XP compatible version, but only if it is build in a specific way with MSVC 2013. Some mention that QT5 v5.7.0 and v5.7.1.may also work like that. Anyways, with some searching I found pre-build QT5 v5.7.0 dll files, working fine on XP. It is part of SQLiteStudio v3.1.1. Here: https://github.com/catcherochek/Bucketmgr1/tree/master/tools/SQLiteStudio or here: https://archive.org/details/sqlitestudio For completeness, here are XP compatible libs of QT5 5.6.3, which are only useful when developing/building software: https://github.com/lighterowl/qt563xp/releases (Still, If someone knows about a newer XP compatible version, I would love to have a copy.)

  3. Argument is when both sides have valid facts, we haven't read any from you. Also, it's not "heresay", it's been confirmed by at least several members and Chrome developers, including the comments in your topic with 360Chrome. It's not only Floppy disks, it's basically any storage, HDD, USB stick, I actually read it is also DVD. The goal is not to "win". The goal would be to defeat the spying "features" coming from that dubious place. It's not only linked to XP, I can reproduce even on Win 7. Example, an external WD 8TB storage with "green" saving features sleeps, then it turns on and spins up when the browser starts. I have the same behaviour with 360Chrome and CatsXP.

  4. Chrome 115 is more than a half year old, are you sure? The current Chrome is 121, mind you.

  5. Yes, they said it would happen on September 16th, it actually happened a week later, yesterday. I'm using an OAuth2 proxy to maintain access to my Hotmail account using Aurora (the successor to Eudora) and it works fine. Unfortunately, it won't work on XP, so I'm now having to boot into Windows 10 to access my Hotmail account, unless I use webmail of course.

  6. I never got the remaining time displayed on the video player. How would that normally work? Usually, I only get the time already elapsed and the total time. I should mention that I am never signed in to my Google Account when playing YT videos in New Moon 28. Edit: I found a working script to retrofit the remaining time on the video player in New Moon 28: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/19120-youtube-remaining-time

  7. @genieautravail, thanks for testing and confirming that the build actually work as intended; that is an stunnel version for 32 bit computers not supporting SSE2 instructions and running windows XP/Windows Server 2003 or later. Available at https://github.com/josealf/stunnel-win32 ; more github stars gladly accepted 🙂

  8. Regarding the UXP browsers, I stopped using full themes or extensions that change the GUI a long time ago to avoid unnecessary CPU load and negative effects. If I notice that an extension is putting a strain on the browser, it is uninstalled immediately.

  9. I use Mypal 68 regularly and have not noticed any unusual behaviour so far. If you want to be on the safe side, use a network sniffer to identify and analyse all incoming and outgoing connections of a browser. And it doesn't matter whether it is Mypal 68 or this Chrome 115 which is actually the topic here. However, this strange behaviour was already observed when using certain versions of Chrome browsers. Any problems observed in terms of Mypal 68 should be then posted in a corresponding thread, of course.

  10. I hope you don't mind me replying to this. Not sure about the industrial espionage, but stealing data from private users and later selling it to advertisers is a very well known and documented issue. I've never used that browser. Google says that user (you're referring to) is native Russian, not Ukrainian, if it helps you. (determined by the errors he makes in English) Could you please elaborate about the lights flashing? I was under the impression this was only Chrome related.

  12. Care to share what's so special about thorium? From what is known, it's still based on the last year chrome 109, the last officially supported.

  13. More to the point, if you insist it's purely Chrome related, then it can be switched off in the flags, yet it doesn't work. For me it looks like an old bug is there for a purpose, but you're free to not agree with my opinion. Besides, judging by the comments in your multiple 360topics, you didn't solve it in (not saying which country) Chrome360. Why? I mean, if it's not a spying feature, but rather a well documented bug. Care to expand? thanks

  14. How's Chrome from 10 years ago is relevant to this discussion? I too noticed the same spinning disks and floppy scanning with CatsXP (iit's from the same the country you prefer not to name). How would you explain that? Why do we not notice it in Supermium v115? Actually, it would've been reported immediately because Supermium is quite popular already. How would you explain that?

  15. Kind of makes one wonder whether the browser itself has bugs of the same "quality".

  16. Nothing out of the ordinary, Opera was a paid browser, too. But with Opera we knew where it comes from. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opera_(web_browser) With this browser, I support the author, nothing wrong with it being paid, though he'd have to be more transparent.

  17. You're welcome, friend. Keep in mind, I took a random IP from the range he pointed us to. It's better to see and know the actual IP from that range he saw.

  18. Well, people on github wrote 115 was more stable. I didn't notice font issues. I keep remote fonts blocked, though ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS seems like a serious issue, did you report on github?

  21. Just for completeness, my main email client in Windows XP is MailNews, which perfectly works with all my email accounts. In addition, I have installed DreamMail Pro, which also works with all the email accounts I use. Of course, MailNews is a powerful email client and more than that.

  22. I already checked this client some months ago. It supports the OAuth2 protocol. Do you use Office365? Does it in the meanwhile work with it? Only interesting for @Mathwiz. I don't use Office365, only the email service Outlook.com, the little brother of Office365.

  23. DreamMail Pro - Update information! DreamMail Pro has been updated again and is now available in version 6.6.6.11. It is still XP-compatible, and the development is ongoing! I have not been able to find a version history on their homepage. Therefore, I generated an official version history translated to English and provide it here: And here is the download link of DreamMail Pro 6.6.6.11: https://dl.cy-email.com/dm6/Download/dmpro_setup6.6.6.11.exe To force the updated installer of DreamMail Pro 6.6.6.11 to use English instead of Chinese as the installer language, I updated again my small loader that does this when it calls up the setup program. It must be executed in the same directory in which the setup file is located with its original file name dmpro_setup6.6.6.11.exe. Here is the download link of my loader Force_En_Install_DM_Pro_66611.exe: https://www.mediafire.com/file/lvg9qtaqt6voii4/Force_En_Install_DM_Pro_66611.7z/file Although some virus scanners detect this file as malicious, it is just a false-positive as always. Use my loader to force an English install, only if you trust me, of course! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  25. Hello @Mark-XP! Thanks for your nice words! Much appreciated! The solution you linked in your comment works without any modifications. Here is my detailed instruction to get the "Alternating row highlighting" working in MailNews right away: Create a folder called Chrome in your profile folder. Copy the file userChrome.css containing your linked CSS code into the created folder Chrome . Open about:config, create a new Boolean variable toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets and set it to the value true. Restart MailNews. That is exactly what I did. And it worked right away. Please note that toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets is a Boolean, and not a string variable! And the file userChrome.css must be copied into the Chrome subfolder of your profile folder. That's simply all. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  26. You're right! The direction isn't good for XP/Vista email clients. Logically! No doubt about it! Windows XP is an abandoned, ancient OS which hasn't been supported since 2014. I'll leave the POSReady updates out of my consideration. I think by Web mail you mean the email web services of different providers. Right? If not, please be so nice to provide a link to this email web service in question! The problem with email web services is that most of them work only with a reduced, simplified interface in old browsers as for example GMX or in Germany WEB.DE. These interfaces are awful and restricted, only for the bare essentials. When these email services are managed for example by MailNews, they work much better, more comfortable and faster. I prefer this way, love it and use it as long as possible!

  27. Fake news. Proved by several members, including me. For example here. There is a screenshot that with "nosandbox" applied, doesn't help. https://msfn.org/board/topic/184046-future-of-chrome-on-windows-7/?do=findComment&comment=1230307

  30. In standard (normal, classic) English : 1 - Hey guys = hey mates , hey friends (males) , hey dudes (dude is from the French word, btw). 2 - Hey girls means hey girls (females) ! lol All is simple.
