  1. The 1st reason D.Draker has remained silent because he's busy with his life, making money, staying fit and healthy, real-time helping the world to be cleansed of filth. In other words, everything that a normal man would want to do with his life. I wonder why you not? But don't doubt, D.Draker's like a higher power up from the above - he sees everything. You've claimed to live in Miami. So, is it a complete boredom, so you the only thing that is left for you is to constantly praise Russia? Be on your guard, one can easily assume you live in a Siberian basement, not Miami. The 2nd reason D.Draker has remained silent because he is not interested in any further attempts to explain to you that Russia simply has no independent civilian software. It's all under military umbrella, including Kaspersky. Oh, and I'm touched you're worried about my warnings!

  3. Custom CSS scripts to modify the GUI of Mypal 68 Here is a screenshot showing Mypal 68 with the tab bar below the navigation and bookmarks bar: And here is a screenshot showing Mypal 68 with the tab bar on the bottom of the window: All was done by using already existing, custom CSS stylesheets to move the tab bar to a desired position. This time, I only used scripts from CustomCSSforFx. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  7. That remark is typical for any and all of your MSFN accounts. Your paranoid mind can “easily assume” whatever. What I actually told you was that I now live in “Florida,” which is a large state with several cities of various sizes. I haven’t met any Russians yet. If I ever do, what government agency should I report them to? Like I was saying before Attack of the Clones, you can drink all the vodka you want without worrying about subsidizing Putin because no brand (not even Stoli) actually comes from Russia! And if those who are still using Windows XP or Vista believe they can help to defeat Putin by using inferior antivirus software (or no antivirus software at all), then I wish you the best of luck! 🥃

  8. In latest Serpent 52, I didn't have to toggle that pref to enable successful loading+rendering of either https://www.elektroda.pl/ (Polish version) or https://www.elektroda.com/ (English version); creating SSUAOs for both domains, impersonating the latest FxESR, did the trick for me : general.useragent.override.elektroda.pl;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:115.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0 general.useragent.override.elektroda.com;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:115.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0 Seems like another case of their UA-sniffing scripts rejecting "unfamiliar" slices ... 9. Let’s see: There was a thread in the Windows 7 forum that “you” posted in only for the purpose of making an ad hominem attack against me: https://msfn.org/board/topic/184942-any-free-antivirus-for-win7-in-2023/?do=findComment&comment=1250354 You were of course correct that I never used Kaspersky, but it was an ad hominem attack nevertheless. What you failed to notice was that the OP of that topic was a Kaspersky user in Poland who posted to ask a question about free antivirus software for Windows 7, and was perhaps unaware that Kaspersky has a free version. You did not post to suggest an alternative, but I had already mentioned a few alternatives (and had already mentioned that I never used Kaspersky and could not tell him the procedure for downgrading). The OP was perhaps more irritated by your post than I was, and gave you a rebuttal that moderators subsequently deleted. Of course “you” were already on my Ignored Users list before that because “you” are just another account of the Vista-using Kaspersky-hater who resides somewhere in Europe.

  10. "You are the company you keep." https://quoteinvestigator.com/2020/04/04/company-keep/ Another way to say that, especially here at MSFN, is we all know "who is who" by their meaningless "likes". I didn't read the post as a "personal attack", but more of "one school of thought" against "another school of thought" (our "likes" define who we are!) GANG WARS. Do we know if new members can register? I don't recall seeing a mod chime in on that one. But the more I think about it, the more I can't help but think that if these GANG WARS persist, then MSFN is "weighing its options" on whether "to be, or not to be".

If you still want to imply this, link to the post, and since there will be none, you need to apologise for your offensive behaviour and personal attacks. And keep my name out of conversations I didn't even take part.

  14. Add custom search engine With the extension Add custom search engine, you can create custom search engine entries for the search bar and the URL bar. Your custom search engine needs a name and search URL. Additionally, the user can determine an icon, a suggestion URL, POST query parameters, the input encoding and a description. Icons can be selected from your local computer or specified as an URL pointing to an image. The extension UI is accessible via a button right next to the URL/search bar or the options in the Add-ons Manager. Tested version: 4.2 Here is a screenshot: Download link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-custom-search-engine/ The extension Add custom search engine is one of those I mentioned in my previous article Managing search engines in Mypal 68. I tested this extension by creating a custom search engine and adding it to Mypal 68. It worked without any problems.

  15. Restoring the manual and automatic update function for extensions in Mypal 68.13.3b Replace the file omni.ja in the main programme folder of Mypal 68.13.3b by the fixed one, uploaded by @feodor2, from here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/286#issuecomment-1753451203 Check if the value of the pref extensions.htmlaboutaddons.enabled is false. Set the pref extensions.update.enabled to the value true. Now, the update function should work finally again after this long time. If there is more to fix, we will see after further testing. In any case, with the settings I listed above, I had the first successes in updating two extensions, Clear Cache from version 3.1 to 3.2 and Simple Translate from version 2.8.0 to 2.8.2. Here are some screenshots to document the restored updating in Mypal 68.13.3b in single-process mode: Before updating the extensions: While updating the extensions: After updating the extensions: At the moment, uBlock Origin can't be updated this way. You have to do that manually as usual. This issue is described more detailed in Mypal's issue #287 here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/287#issuecomment-1755185457 Cheers, AstroSkipper

  17. @feodor2 I am in the process of testing the offered features related to extensions in your new release Mypal 68.13.3b. The entry "Check For Updates" in the "More Information" page of an extension does not do anything. Same when clicking onto the entry "Find Updates" of the extension's context menu. Is it not yet active? Will it be restored in one of the next releases? Furthermore, I noticed on the page "Manage Your Extensions" that entries of the menu "Tools for all add-ons" have been removed. Here is a screenshot taken from the previous version Mypal 68.13.2b: And here is a screenshot taken from Mypal 68.13.3b: In this menu, all entries regarding the updating of extensions are missing, and the menu seems rather broken. Is this how you wanted it? I do not hope so. Until now, one always had to manually check for updates on the Firefox Addons website. A manual and automatic update check in Mypal 68 would be desirable and useful. Will these functions be restored in one of the next releases? TBH, I have been waiting for this for soooooo long. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  18. Hello @feodor2! Hope you are doing well. Furthermore, thank you very much for your new release Mypal 68.13.3b! I read your release notes, especially: You know I created this thread to post here all related to extensions and custom buttons targeting Mypal 68. You wrote you "changed extension things". Therefore, I tested your new release in terms of extensions. I made a new, clean install, created a fresh profile, configured it in single-process mode, and installed only two extensions, Cookie Quick Manager 0.5rc2 and uBlock Origin 1.52.2. Here is a screenshot: Now, I clicked onto the entry of uBlock Origin to see more information. Here is a screenshot: So far, everything is normal as usual. Next, I went back to the extensions overview. No problem. But then, when clicking onto uBlock Origin again, the page became empty. Here is a screenshot of this issue: You see there is a problem. The detailed information about uBlock Origin can't be shown again. Same issue when clicking onto Cookie Quick Manager. A temporary fix is to refresh the page. Every time, an empty page is displayed, which is the rule after a click onto an extension, a refresh must be carried out to see the information related to an extension again. BTW, same issue when using Mypal 68.13.3b in multiprocess mode. This issue didn't happen in the previous release Mypal 68.13.2.b, though. Therefore, it is a brand new issue, presumably caused by the recent changes in Mypal 68.13.3b. Hope, you are able to reproduce and to solve it. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  19. Hello @Jody Thornton! I have just checked the extension New Tab Tools in my testing profile of Mypal 68.13.2b. As far as I can see, the version 90.3 runs fine there. Here is a screenshot: Maybe, you simply try New Tab Tools in the version 90.3. TBH, I never used this extension before. And some extensions still have some problems with Mypal 68. In some cases, I could observe that an installed extension had simply disappeared, although it was compatible and worked properly. I think Mypal 68 is not yet fully developed as far as extensions are concerned. For example, the automatic update of extensions does not work yet either. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  21. Is that so! How wonderful for you! Where were you when I sought help with the transltion a week ago, and even outlined it in your most visited topic? More of a rhetorical question. I can't be blamed for any official statements given by any government, including the Italian Government, I'm sure there was a reason they speak their usual diplomatic language, and, as any government, they don't have to provide proof for their every action. If they came to such a conclusion, they had their investigation completed and all facts checked out! If you have any doubts about it, you have your right to call the helpline of Italian Government, or even go to the court of law, trying to establish a protection path for Kaspersky. In your posts, you like to point out to MSFN "is not like it used to be", where "polite and plain conversation is not possible anymore", yet even if we take this one post of yours, where you call my posts "this kind of meaningless crap could be a good use for Chat-GPT", you show outrageous disrespect, you yourself is very rude. Meanwhile, MSFN rules still sate:"the forum was built upon mutual respect". And even if you think so, Chat-GPT would still be a polite on-topic subject, unlike your attempt at sensless bickering once again, which totally blasts away common sense and politeness.

  25. Hello @roytam1! Breaking the walled internet by using a good VPN service would not work at your location if this unbelievable (from a European perspective) case happens? Or to put it another way, is the use of VPN services allowed or possible at all in Chinese regions whose internet is walled? In any case, I sincerely hope that nothing bad will happen. We appreciate you and your work, and need you here. Your browser editions are legendary, essential and extremely important for users of legacy OSes. Without them, a new dying process of XP and Vista would probably begin. Kindest regards, AstroSkipper

  26. Actually, with this statement, any further discussion is moot. We are apparently waiting here for a decision by the forum owner or administrator and hope to receive information at their preferred location the next time MSFN fails. Whether one can participate in discussions or ask questions there as a profane member remains to be seen. Suggestions like MDL or Eclipse have disqualified themselves for various reasons, and further discussions by members will only lead to @Dave-H having to delete posts again. IMHO, we should spare him this work.

  28. Forums that still do the delete inactive accounts thing are either running extremely old software or do not know why that SOP was created in the first place. The issues with large datasets in tables for forums were solved ages ago, so there is no issue with needing to purge accounts or things like threads becoming very large.

  32. Excuse me, what does it have to do with "future of chrome on windows 7" ? I'm new here, and I was warned right on the first instance by @Dave-H, when asked a question in the wrong topic, I'm just wondering how it seems totally fine when some others here, you for example, are freely allowed to do what they want. Is it like your off-topic post No. 1992779 ? Just seems unfair. And no sandbox is for Windows 7.

The reds activated themselves pretty fast during Biden in the Office . Now do a research and you will see who met with the soviets in 1979 , days (or a day?) before the soviet invasion in Afghanistan , that's right , Biden ! Coincidence ? I'm not saying he gave them some form of green light . But with his recent "minor incursion" ... lol . Anyways , I just think they feel he's weak. Germany sunk in their stupid guilt over the war , China is their "friend" , France wants to live in peace and make money . Who will fight them ? Italy ? Holland ? Denmark ?

Kiselev (their main host/propaganda leader, "the talking head of Kremlin") says : "In total, our submarines are capable of launching more than half a thousand nuclear warheads, which is guaranteed to destroy the countries of the United States and NATO in addition." Now look at the screengrab , there's "Prikaz" , which means "order" in English . Why would they include this "prikaz" word ? Means the order has been given already ?
