  1. The 1st reason D.Draker has remained silent because he's busy with his life, making money, staying fit and healthy, real-time helping the world to be cleansed of filth. In other words, everything that a normal man would want to do with his life. I wonder why you not? But don't doubt, D.Draker's like a higher power up from the above - he sees everything. You've claimed to live in Miami. So, is it a complete boredom, so you the only thing that is left for you is to constantly praise Russia? Be on your guard, one can easily assume you live in a Siberian basement, not Miami. The 2nd reason D.Draker has remained silent because he is not interested in any further attempts to explain to you that Russia simply has no independent civilian software. It's all under military umbrella, including Kaspersky. Oh, and I'm touched you're worried about my warnings!

  3. Custom CSS scripts to modify the GUI of Mypal 68 Here is a screenshot showing Mypal 68 with the tab bar below the navigation and bookmarks bar: And here is a screenshot showing Mypal 68 with the tab bar on the bottom of the window: All was done by using already existing, custom CSS stylesheets to move the tab bar to a desired position. This time, I only used scripts from CustomCSSforFx. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  6. The U.S. federal government banned the use of Kaspersky software. By Mark Hachman, Senior Editor, PCWorld MAR 28, 2022 9:59 AM PDT Antimalware provider Kaspersky Lab has been blacklisted by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, adding its name alongside Huawei and ZTE as companies that are deemed a threat to national security. The FCC maintains a list of companies which are “deemed to pose an unacceptable risk to national security or the security and safety of United States persons,” and added Kaspersky to the list on Friday. Officially, the list now includes China Mobile International USA Inc., China Telecom (Americas) Corp, and AO Kaspersky Labs, as well as their subsidiaries. FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said in a statement that adding those companies to the list “will help secure our networks from threats posed by Chinese and Russian state backed entities.” If a company is on the restricted list, it can’t receive federal subsidies, Bloomberg reported. The U.S. federal government banned the use of Kaspersky software in federal information systems in 2017 because of concerns about Kaspersky’s links to the Russian government. Individual users may continue to use products blacklisted by the FCC if they choose to do so, however. Kaspersky does not appear in PCWorld’s list of the best antivirus programs for your PC but does appear in the current list of PCWorld’s best free antivirus programs for Windows. If you try to install Kaspersky’s free tools, Windows Defender may flag Kaspersky as dangerous. We encountered the issue in our testing, though it wasn’t clear why the issues occurred. Author: Mark Hachman, Senior Editor As PCWorld's senior editor, Mark focuses on Microsoft news and chip technology, among other beats. He has formerly written for PCMag, BYTE, Slashdot, eWEEK, and ReadWrite. https://www.pcworld.com/article/626854/kaspersky-blacklisted-as-a-risk-to-u-s-national-security.html

  7. That remark is typical for any and all of your MSFN accounts. Your paranoid mind can “easily assume” whatever. What I actually told you was that I now live in “Florida,” which is a large state with several cities of various sizes. I haven’t met any Russians yet. If I ever do, what government agency should I report them to? Like I was saying before Attack of the Clones, you can drink all the vodka you want without worrying about subsidizing Putin because no brand (not even Stoli) actually comes from Russia! And if those who are still using Windows XP or Vista believe they can help to defeat Putin by using inferior antivirus software (or no antivirus software at all), then I wish you the best of luck! 🥃

  8. In latest Serpent 52, I didn't have to toggle that pref to enable successful loading+rendering of either https://www.elektroda.pl/ (Polish version) or https://www.elektroda.com/ (English version); creating SSUAOs for both domains, impersonating the latest FxESR, did the trick for me : general.useragent.override.elektroda.pl;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:115.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0 general.useragent.override.elektroda.com;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:115.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0 Seems like another case of their UA-sniffing scripts rejecting "unfamiliar" slices ... 9. Let’s see: There was a thread in the Windows 7 forum that “you” posted in only for the purpose of making an ad hominem attack against me: https://msfn.org/board/topic/184942-any-free-antivirus-for-win7-in-2023/?do=findComment&comment=1250354 You were of course correct that I never used Kaspersky, but it was an ad hominem attack nevertheless. What you failed to notice was that the OP of that topic was a Kaspersky user in Poland who posted to ask a question about free antivirus software for Windows 7, and was perhaps unaware that Kaspersky has a free version. You did not post to suggest an alternative, but I had already mentioned a few alternatives (and had already mentioned that I never used Kaspersky and could not tell him the procedure for downgrading). The OP was perhaps more irritated by your post than I was, and gave you a rebuttal that moderators subsequently deleted. Of course “you” were already on my Ignored Users list before that because “you” are just another account of the Vista-using Kaspersky-hater who resides somewhere in Europe.

  10. "You are the company you keep." https://quoteinvestigator.com/2020/04/04/company-keep/ Another way to say that, especially here at MSFN, is we all know "who is who" by their meaningless "likes". I didn't read the post as a "personal attack", but more of "one school of thought" against "another school of thought" (our "likes" define who we are!) GANG WARS. Do we know if new members can register? I don't recall seeing a mod chime in on that one. But the more I think about it, the more I can't help but think that if these GANG WARS persist, then MSFN is "weighing its options" on whether "to be, or not to be".

If you still want to imply this, link to the post, and since there will be none, you need to apologise for your offensive behaviour and personal attacks. And keep my name out of conversations I didn't even take part.

  15. Restoring the manual and automatic update function for extensions in Mypal 68.13.3b Replace the file omni.ja in the main programme folder of Mypal 68.13.3b by the fixed one, uploaded by @feodor2, from here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/286#issuecomment-1753451203 Check if the value of the pref extensions.htmlaboutaddons.enabled is false. Set the pref extensions.update.enabled to the value true. Set the pref extensions.update.url to the value https://versioncheck.addons.mozilla.org/update/VersionCheck.php?reqVersion=%REQ_VERSION%&id=%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&maxAppVersion=%ITEM_MAXAPPVERSION%&status=%ITEM_STATUS%&appID=%APP_ID%&appVersion=%APP_VERSION%&appOS=%APP_OS%&appABI=%APP_ABI%&locale=%APP_LOCALE%&currentAppVersion=%CURRENT_APP_VERSION%&updateType=%UPDATE_TYPE%&compatMode=%COMPATIBILITY_MODE% Set the pref extensions.update.background.url to the value https://versioncheck-bg.addons.mozilla.org/update/VersionCheck.php?reqVersion=%REQ_VERSION%&id=%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&maxAppVersion=%ITEM_MAXAPPVERSION%&status=%ITEM_STATUS%&appID=%APP_ID%&appVersion=%APP_VERSION%&appOS=%APP_OS%&appABI=%APP_ABI%&locale=%APP_LOCALE%&currentAppVersion=%CURRENT_APP_VERSION%&updateType=%UPDATE_TYPE%&compatMode=%COMPATIBILITY_MODE% Clear the cache and restart the browser. Now, the update function should work finally again after this long time. If there is more to fix, we will see after further testing. In any case, with the settings I listed above, I had the first successes in updating two extensions, Clear Cache from version 3.1 to 3.2 and Simple Translate from version 2.8.0 to 2.8.2. Here are some screenshots to document the restored updating in Mypal 68.13.3b in single-process mode: Before updating the extensions: While updating the extensions: After updating the extensions: At the moment, uBlock Origin can't be updated this way. You have to do that manually as usual. This issue is described more detailed in Mypal's issue #287 here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/287#issuecomment-1755185457 Cheers, AstroSkipper

  18. Hello @feodor2! Hope you are doing well. Furthermore, thank you very much for your new release Mypal 68.13.3b! I read your release notes, especially: You know I created this thread to post here all related to extensions and custom buttons targeting Mypal 68. You wrote you "changed extension things". Therefore, I tested your new release in terms of extensions. I made a new, clean install, created a fresh profile, configured it in single-process mode, and installed only two extensions, Cookie Quick Manager 0.5rc2 and uBlock Origin 1.52.2. Here is a screenshot: Now, I clicked onto the entry of uBlock Origin to see more information. Here is a screenshot: So far, everything is normal as usual. Next, I went back to the extensions overview. No problem. But then, when clicking onto uBlock Origin again, the page became empty. Here is a screenshot of this issue: You see there is a problem. The detailed information about uBlock Origin can't be shown again. Same issue when clicking onto Cookie Quick Manager. A temporary fix is to refresh the page. Every time, an empty page is displayed, which is the rule after a click onto an extension, a refresh must be carried out to see the information related to an extension again. BTW, same issue when using Mypal 68.13.3b in multiprocess mode. This issue didn't happen in the previous release Mypal 68.13.2.b, though. Therefore, it is a brand new issue, presumably caused by the recent changes in Mypal 68.13.3b. Hope, you are able to reproduce and to solve it. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  19. Hello @Jody Thornton! I have just checked the extension New Tab Tools in my testing profile of Mypal 68.13.2b. As far as I can see, the version 90.3 runs fine there. Here is a screenshot: Maybe, you simply try New Tab Tools in the version 90.3. TBH, I never used this extension before. And some extensions still have some problems with Mypal 68. In some cases, I could observe that an installed extension had simply disappeared, although it was compatible and worked properly. I think Mypal 68 is not yet fully developed as far as extensions are concerned. For example, the automatic update of extensions does not work yet either. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  21. jaclaz, do you always treat official government warnings, published at official government websites as "some info", apart from their rather simple writing style, which you evidently didn't like? Or only in such rather limited cases that affect this specific software, namely Kaspersky? Please bare in mind, it's just a simple question, out of curiosity, nothing else! And I'll be perfectly fine, if it wil be unanswered. Thank you! If you want my opinion in advance, as well as the opinions of other millions of people that listen to their government, I think it's a very serious warning, despite the primitive language, and here I agree with you!

Or to put it another way, is the use of VPN services allowed or possible at all in Chinese regions whose internet is walled? In any case, I sincerely hope that nothing bad will happen. 26. Mypal 68 is not a fully portable browser. It writes additionally entries in the registry, needs files in the folder c:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\Application Data\Mypal68 to find its profiles and uses of course profile folders where ever you created them. To make this browser fully portable you have to make a research in the internet. There are many sites which provide detailed instructions or tutorials for creating fully portable applications.

  28. Actually, with this statement, any further discussion is moot. We are apparently waiting here for a decision by the forum owner or administrator and hope to receive information at their preferred location the next time MSFN fails. Whether one can participate in discussions or ask questions there as a profane member remains to be seen. Suggestions like MDL or Eclipse have disqualified themselves for various reasons, and further discussions by members will only lead to @Dave-H having to delete posts again. IMHO, we should spare him this work.

  29. Forums that still do the delete inactive accounts thing are either running extremely old software or do not know why that SOP was created in the first place. The issues with large datasets in tables for forums were solved ages ago, so there is no issue with needing to purge accounts or things like threads becoming very large.

We were trained how to survive in absolutely nightmarish conditions and still hit the enemy. I understand MSFN is not the right place though . Just thought it's tough times and the western media like twitter could be the victims of russian cyberterrorists , so all means of communications are very important and our dear moderators will allow to do it. I think the White House already warned about that. Also, if I suddenly disappear , means my papers got accepted and I'm on the road. I still hope I return and buy the black Titan ... if not , you're an interesting penpal , I wish you all the best and to survive without damages !

  39. Maybe yes , maybe no. Why ? They could think the dems are too weak to retaliate with nukes. Did you notice the perfect timing ? The reds activated themselves pretty fast during Biden in the Office . Now do a research and you will see who met with the soviets in 1979 , days (or a day?) before the soviet invasion in Afghanistan , that's right , Biden ! Coincidence ? I'm not saying he gave them some form of green light . But with his recent "minor incursion" ... lol . Anyways , I just think they feel he's weak. Germany sunk in their stupid guilt over the war , China is their "friend" , France wants to live in peace and make money . Who will fight them ? Italy ? Holland ? Denmark ?

  40. These are all WW2 echoes and gravely wrong decisions made by the UK and US that landed these awful consequences upon us. In case you don't know , I'm from that part of France which fought against the soviets in WW2. We still have some of our honourable heroes alive. This is a huge mystery for me, why UK and US both helped Russia to crash Germany ? I'm not an American , I can't understand . Can you ? From my perspective : 1 - Germany desperately wanted/needed russian resources for their economy .(Gas, oil, ore, etc). 2 - So why the hell did they not allow Germany to take control over Russia ? We would definitely sleep well at nights ! 3 - Were they that much afraid Germany would occupy them too ? 4 - And let's imagine , what would be the worst thing to happen , even if they did ? It would be like Germans occupy what's almost German already . I'm sure you know the US is like 87% of Europeans , and Germans are like what, on the first place ? The second ? Yes, I understand there are also Dutch , Norwegians , English , French but we are all from the Germanic tribes - we are all relatives . I find it insanely hard to beleive , no , I can't even imagine an "evil" German soldier with an MP-38 chasing US children , like they show us in propaganda films. Germans are civilised European people , intelligent and with high values and moral. Life is all about experiences and perception , so let's imagine Russia occupies the US ... Would you prefer to date a russian woman over a gorgeous germanic blond ? Would you prefer to drive a russian car instead of a cool german one ? Would you prefer to wear "ushanka" and russian boots over the nice german leather ones? Would you prefer to sit near a russian couple in the restaurant over a nice'n'quet german one ? Would you imagine germans from Germany nuke Germans in PA or TX ? Obviously not. Would you imagine russians from Russia nuke Germans in PA or TX ? (for you to answer). Would you prefer to buy AMD over Nvidia ? (obviously a nice joke). This is all [of course] if the russians don't execute you right on the streets, like they do now in Ukraine or any other country they inavade . And if [by some miracle] you will be allowed to work for them for a couple of rublies. PS. I'm in no way promoting any occupation of the US. The United states are our friends/relatives. Speaking of the 80's books/movies , Red Dawn 1984 is a good one and highly recommended . Just a scene from it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Qc8jJ0TjSY

  43. No he's not , he is just an ordinary KGB worker and all of those is in his russian genes , also it was all part of the plan right from the very beggining and Europe is next if NATO will continue snot chewing any further. Russians have known for decades/centuries what Putin and every their leader is. They're "ashamed" now because the world is seeing their dirty laundry hanging in the wind. They're momentarily embarrassed, yet they remain defective, dishonest and dangerous people. OK , in the news our western media say "Putin has brutally invaded Ukraine" . And who is sitting in the tanks ? Who launches thermobaric weapons ? Who bombs the peaceful cities ? Who all those hundreds of thousands small putin's minions are ? Yes , they are russians/soviets . And there's nothing that prevents them to refuse ! They got weapons in their hands for God's sake ! If you don’t , you are complicit in this invasion and you are a war criminal . There's nothing Russian lamenting can do to turn that back. And the world isn't interested in indulging "how upset" Russians are. Russians needed to stand up and oust Putin in 2000 when he flattened Grozny to the zero level with carpet bombings. Exactly like they needed to oust Stalin in 1939 for the bloodiest war in Finland or occupation of Poland and Yeltsin for the bloody war in Chechnya . I have no faith in them whatsoever. Remove Putin and they will "elect" a new one in a matter of minutes. Only total disarmament , then dividing Russia into several NATO controlled (UK, US , Belgium , Holland , France , etc.) zones with 100% external governance . Russia (along with Belarus, which is 100% helping russians with this yet another bloody war) should not be allowed to have military and/or weapons of any kind, except rubber sticks to calm down their peasants. All we are seeing from some folks in Russia now is how "sorry" they are. Useless.
