  1. @roytam1! In your first post of this thread, you referenced to your support thread on the eclipse forum. The provided link https://forum.eclipse.cx/viewforum.php?f=33 doesn't work, as this internet address doesn't exist anymore. After a bit research, I found your support thread under the new address https://board.eclipse.cx/viewforum.php?f=33. If I am right, this link needs an update.

  2. I just listed the final versions of Vivaldi, Ungoogled Chromium and Brave that are compatible with Windows 7: https://old.reddit.com/r/windows7/comments/113sf82/final_version_of_vivaldi_browser_for_windows_7/ Basically, Chromium v109 is the last with support for Windows 7 and 8.1, v110 and higher are incompatible. To mirror the information here: Ungoogled Chromium final version for Windows 7: Sourced from chromium.woolyss.com amd64 (64-bit) v109.0.5414.75-r1070088 (Google sync, 11 Jan 2023) [Hibbiki • up-to-date • sync • widevine • all-codecs+ • win64 • Portable • Archive • Installer • Package] v109.0.5414.120-r1070088 (Ungoogled, 25 Jan 2023) [Marmaduke • up-to-date • ungoogled • widevine • all-codecs+ • win64 • Portable • Archive • Installer] x86 (32-bit): 109.0.5414.120 (1070088) (Google sync, 25 Jan 2023) [Hibbiki • sync • widevine • all-codecs+ • win32 • Portable • Archive • Installer • Package] Brave browser final version for Windows 7: Boy, their GitHub releases are a @&%!! mess, and their announcement of Win7/8.1 deprecation doesn't even list the final versions for those operating systems, as has been polite practice for many years (see: all those websites that list "Final version for WinXP"). What an incompetent company. Why is Win7 such a pariah? M$ must have paid someone big bucks. [Brave Stable Release v1.47.186 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] (the last Stable Release "with Chromium 109" are iOS only: [Brave Stable Release v1.47.189 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] or Android only: [Brave Stable Release v1.47.188 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] [Brave Dev v1.48.150 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] [Brave Beta v1.48.152 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] [Brave Nightly v1.49.62 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)] (the last version with Chromium 109, [Brave Nightly v1.49.63 (Chromium 109.0.5414.119)], does not have Windows builds) Vivaldi browser final version for Win7 Support deprecation announcement Final snapshot supporting Win7: 10 Jan 2023, v5.7.2901.3 (based off Chromium v108) https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/82732/happy-new-year-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-2901-3 https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/happy-new-year-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-2901-3/ Final stable version supporting Win7: Vivaldi v5.6.2867.62 (based off Chromium v108) https://downloads.vivaldi.com/stable/Vivaldi.5.6.2867.62.x64.exe https://downloads.vivaldi.com/stable/Vivaldi.5.6.2867.62.exe Edgium (Microsoft Edge Chromium) browser final version for Win7 Edgium Offline Installers are available here, but getting the exact final version for Win7 is difficult, as no-one has been keeping an archive. See here for the offline installer for Edgium-based Webview2 You'll also need a registry edit to remove an annoying "unsupported operating system" warning on Edgium and Google Chrome on the final supported versions (not needed for Ungoogled Chromium or Vivaldi) Electron Current version v22 still supports Win7. v23 (pre-release?) bumps Chromium to v110 (see this pull request and v23.1.0 release notes. According to this thread for VSCodium, around May 2023, Electron will stop accepting patches for v22 and will focus only on v23+, so everything built in Electron will slowly stop working on Win7 (just for an idea of timeframe, most Electron stuff still uses v19.x.x, e.g. Nativefier, VSCodium, etc.). As long as it uses Electron v22.x.x or under, it will still work. TODO: node.js Edgium Edge Webview2 Google Chrome Chromedriver/Selenium

  5. I've tested it two months ago. MSE 4.4 works even with autoupdate (there's no need to run mpam-fe)! I want to avoid 6003 because it isn't "Vista" and if you want to install some updates (such as Ultimate Extras) you must have Windows Update working (with a proxy)

  6. Hi, although it could be a little too late, I have discovered you can add SHA-2 kernel-level support in Windows Vista SP2 installing KB4039648. This won't change the build number to 6003 and works fine (for example to update MSE and Defender).

  7. Hey, chin up, this forum's not too bad I think. The outside world is much more terrifying.

  8. I wouldn't worry too much about it, to be honest. My 82yr old dad weighed 120 lbs, had COPD, asthma, and high blood pressure. His doctor strictly FORBID him from getting ANY covid vaccine. He had covid SIX TIMES and NONE of the six so much as kept him bed-ridden for a day.

  9. Sure Everyone has his own speed to progress with the problems of life, it is good to progress. It is not right to stop and become cocooned...

  10. I know you mean well, but meditation has been a life-saver for me better than medication, so I don't agree. Can we agree to disagree? I quoted the same post again to show you that you are not actually answering my throughts...so this is not a dialog. If you don't answer the questions, this is not a dialog. Too bad... this is the forum for discussion, for dialog...

  11. Very true, Sal! But this sentence "You are fine just the way your are." bothers me a little... Because we have to improve in the course of our existence, every day and every moment... Do you want to be better, Sal? Do you want to improve, Sal?..

  12. Of course Sal, we can agree to disagree on some issues, that's perfectly normal... It wouldn't be normal if we agreed on everything, we are so different... - Fortunately. It's the diversity that's cool, right? I'm all for diversity, we can always learn something from each other. So we are talking about a behavior (from this moment on!) and not about the person as such, we are not judging the person, but we are talking about the behavior in this moment. Going back to the question of having the behavior called "meditations", I am curious about what it is about, whether there are some rules or not? What exactly are we thinking about? For how long? How does it happen, maybe people are sitting on their feet... and hands up for what... (That's the right position for the straight back). I don't know, please enlighten me... I think all the time while I'm awake, even during sleep (dreams), and you must do the same... Our cat, when he sleeps, sometimes he moves his paws frenetically, his body has spasms it seems, so he dreams just like us! To catch birds maybe... in my dreams I don't remember wanting to catch... you probably don't either. It's just that when I was a kid, I often wanted to catch a ball. That's all. But Americans don't know how to catch balloons... Sorry for my chaotic thoughts...

  13. ... All's good! However, looking back at all this, the "decision" of one member here to "shorten" (in order to "sanitise") a reference to a, otherwise popular , website has led to so many additional posts by other members here, including me, that only remotely (if at all) touch the subject of this thread ... Posts "exploded" to all aspects of human endeavour, i.e. natural sciences, history, linguistics, particular aspects of specific languages, education, Roman numerals, coins, ethics/morality, psychic health, addictions, human relationships/[pre-]sex, anything else I neglected? Even suggestions to not "avalanche" to further OT posts were disregarded, it appears... Each and every one of the above is a very interesting topic to converse about , however I humbly think here is not the most appropriate "place"; I, as much as anybody, can live with "a few" OT comments among a majority of posts with substance/relevance to the main subject(s) discussed in a dedicated thread; more than "a few" and I picture "trains de-railed" ... At the same time, some members here wonder why "these" threads reach so quickly the 200-page threshold ... (I'm also subscribed to these threads via e-mail notifications, "OT" posts also cram my inbox (and disk space, as I use a dedicated client, not webmail), so even more personal time needed to devote on sorting out the "valuable" from the "OT" e-mails...) Again, this is only my personal view on things, I don't expect all the rest to abide by it, but I'm entitled to it, aren't I? (NB: Don't do it; don't start another "OT avalanche" due to this post of mine; "reactions" (positive, only) are there for a reason.)

  16. So the issue is not the BIOS (in itself) nor (probably) the USB drivers (in themselves) it is a combination of the two. Pure speculation, to be checked/confirmed: Case A, stick connected before booting: A1) when legacy USB is disabled in BIOS the OS knows nothing about the USB stick and when the drivers load they load/mount the device fully A2) when legacy BIOS is enabled in BIOS the stick is mapped by BIOS and when the USB drivers load they *somehow* load/mount the device partially Case B, stick connected after booting: B1) no matter if legacy USB is enabled or disabled in BIOS, the OS knows nothing about the USB stick until the drivers load and ... (either mount the stick fully or not) In theory A1 and B1 should behave the same, but there could be a difference between the USB drivers enumerating the stick when loading (case A1) or after having already loaded (case B1). jaclaz

  17. I recently created an iso with all Windows Vista updates: 862 in total. I made an iso in English and in French because I am French but I thought of you because you are a great Windows Vista community. You will find the iso on my Youtube channel, I made a video of it. This is the only title in English at the moment.
